Information
The first Assault Carrier in service with the Kingdom of Asgardia. Although the later Lion-class would hold the distinction of the first Assault Carrier constructed by the Kingdom (the Phoenix was a converted Orion-class Battleship), the Phoenix laid many of the foundations for future Asgardian Assault Carrier design.
The Phoenix was converted in 2092 by the Scorpian Wardenclyffe Shipyards as a technological demonstrator of the validity of strike craft and carriers in space. While both the House of Scorpia and the Wardenclyffe corporation intended the Phoenix to be nothing more than just a demonstrator for future, less exorbitant designs, the Royal Naval Service was instantly enamored with the design. The Phoenix was thus pressed once more into service with the Service.
During her time as an active member of the Service, many of the design flaws that were present during her initial redesign were corrected, and the field experience earned during her twenty year service with the fleet aided immensely with the design process of future assault carriers. For example, the internal hangar bay on the Phoenix would be redesigned as two 'flight pods' separate from the main hull of the assault carrier. Designed to increase the available space for the machinery and storage space for strike craft onboard an assault carrier, it also reduced the risk of a catastrophic loss of a ship by divorcing the munitions and fuel supply of the strike craft from the main body. Additionally, emphasis was placed on tactical command ability, allowing the assault carrier to act as a flagship for a fleet, and to effectively coordinate fleet actions from a central location.
By the time the Lion-class entered service, the Phoenix had served admirably for thirty long years, a successful design that had stood the test of time. She was placed in the reserve fleet on April 9, 2135 and served as a training ship, attached to the Royal Naval Academy on Scorpia.

Information
The most numerous Assault Carrier class in service, the Lion-class is the ultimate representation of Asgardian design theory -- fast, well-protected and armed, and able to take on any task asked to complete. The Lion-class first entered service on May 6, 2129, and soon proved herself to be a worthy match of any capital warship. The Lion-class' basic design would be endlessly used in future assault carrier designs, with a large, angular 'alligator head' at the front, a massive engineering plant at the rear, and (at the least) two flight pods that contain hangar facilities for the assault carrier's support craft.
The Lion-class was host to many firsts in Asgardian ship design. They were the first class to use shielding technology, and they were also the very first class to trial the powerful SPECTRUM Beam Lance, an improvement of the earlier SPECTRUM Beam Array. They were also the first class to be designed with the Mass Fabricator Blueprint system, and is the first warship class designed to be completely modular. Entire sections could be replaced and refitted with different systems needed for a mission, and (with later refits) could be entirely self-sufficient with their own Industrial-type Mass Fabricator plant. Some 59 warships would be produced for the Kingdom, and they proved to be versatile designs capable of standing the test of time.

12 Type-10DP mod 2 SPECTRUM Beam Lance, Dual Purpose
125 x 5 Flechette-type MMWS Anti-Ship Missile
Information
The most numerous type of warship employed by the Asgardian Royal Naval Service, the City-class is an advanced class of Asgardian Heavy Cruiser, carrying on the Asgardian tradition of emphasizing mobility and heavy firepower over defensive capabilities. Able to deliver a withering amount of firepower with her forward battery of ten 500 mm SPECTRUM cannons and Flechette missiles then jumping away, the City-class was an integral part of the early-war Asgardian defensive action. Multiple Citys working together in a 'wolf-pack', an old-school throwback to the submarine hunter-killer groups of old, would hold off the Avrynn Death Squads long enough to allow for a hasty retreat. The City was an adaptable, rugged design, well-suited to the role that it found itself used for. The design would survive the war itself, and with endless refits and modernization programs, would survive well into the future.

10 Type-10AS mod 0 SPECTRUM Beam Array, Anti-Strike Fighter
200 x 5 Flechette-type MMWS Anti-Ship Missile
Information
One of the first Asgardian ships-of-the-line ever built, the Orion-class would go on to serve the Asgardian Royal Naval Service admirably, acting as a symbol of Asgardian dominance in her domain. These durable and hard-hitting warships were designed from the ground-up to be able to withstand nearly anything that could be thrown at a battleship, and keep going. While they would be replaced in the traditional capitol ship role by the Lion-class Planetary Assault Carrier, they would be brought back into service with the Royal Naval Service during the initial years of the war, serving their intended design role well and buying time for the Asgardian fleets to retreat and regroup. Even after the Battle of Solanae, these massive warships found a unique role as the spearhead of a fleet action, providing themselves as a shield to the rest of the fleet's sword. Two Orions would be lost in this manner, but it is a testament to their designer's engineers that those Orions would later be recovered mostly intact, and placed back into service as a sort of psudo-Phoenix-class Planetary Assault Carrier.
Repulse-class Battlecruiser
Type : Battlecruiser
Ships in Class : 120
First Introduced : 2080 (September 1 2080)
Length : 1 km (1000 m, 3280 ft)
Crew Complement : 1700
Armament (2167 Refit) :
30 x 3 380 mm Type-5SD mod 3 SPECTRUM Cannon, Standard

10 Type-10AS mod 0 SPECTRUM Beam Array, Anti-Strike Fighter
135 x 5 Flechette-type MMWS Anti-Ship Missile
Information
Conceived as a stepping-stone between the maneuverability of the heavy cruiser and the firepower of a traditional battleship, the Repulse-class was born out of a need of a heavy-hitting warship that was capable of supporting the earlier Chaser-class heavy cruisers with battleship fire, while remaining maneuverable enough to keep pace with her taskgroup. While initially successful, the Repulse would be later outclassed by the Lion-class Assault Carrier, a fate that befell her larger counterpart, the Orion-class.
However, with the outbreak of the Great Interstellar War, the Repulse would gain a second lease on life, aiding the newer City-class heavy cruisers in operations throughout Asgardian space. While she may be a product of a bygone age, there is no mistaking the effectiveness of the Repulse-class when combined with the City-class. Many have been brought back into service, rearmed and refitted with modern weapons. They have proven themselves to be very effective warships, capable of unleashing an unbelievable amount of firepower before disappearing with her escorts.

Information
In the years leading up to the Great Interstellar War, the ship designers at the Scorpian Wardenclyffe Fleet Yards had realized that, in addition to their Lion-class PAC, they needed a shield capable of leading the charge and absorbing hits, while the Lions acted as the spearpoint, a knife poised to strike. If one compared the Lion-class to a sword, then the Valkyrie-class was a sledgehammer; an unsubtle weapon that uses irresistible force to overwhelm her enemies. Development of the Valkyrie-class began in 2161, six years before the outbreak of the GIW. A working prototype would be constructed over Scorpia, and when the war broke out, the Fleet Yard hastened to bring the warship online. When Scorpia fell in the fall of 2167, the yet-incomplete Valkyrie would make a daring jump to Solanae, where she would remain until the famous Siege of Solanae.
Finally completed during the Siege and under the command of Rear Admiral Ryan von Steiner, the Valkyrie quickly made a name for herself as a formidable vessel, successfully blunting the tide of the Avrynn siege and helping the Phoenix, commanded by Captain Samantha Chase, to repel the Avrynn assault. The warship, as well as her sister ship Excelsior, would take part in the bloodiest battles fought between the Kingdom and the Hegemony, emerging victorious each time. Post-war, the design was refitted, adding heavier weapons, powerful shielding technology developed by the Wardenclyffe ThinkWorks facility, and prototype shield 'Perforators', capable of allowing the ship's weapons to bypass enemy shields and directly attack the vessel underneath.
