Imperial Ambitions (OOC Thread)

My largest ships are the Hypercarriers which are basically nothing but a central spine unit and a series of hyperspace boosting Farcaster rings.
The biggest of this type is the Galaxy-class Hypercarrier which is about 7 kilometers long. It has little armaments aside from point defenses to deal with asteroids as well as a relatively decent shielding. Its main purpose is to carry a small fleet of explorers. The existence of these things make long distance interstellar travel economical and of course considerably faster.

Because you can use it, want it and thus you're willing to shell out something else I do want for it in return.
Which is effectively means cash.
I shouldn't have any inclination to spread gifts if it doesn't benefit me in any way. That's just poor management and missed opportunity.

Cash? What's cash?

Gifts are great! They make other people happy and help [friendship] when done properly!

An artificially created life form. And you can, if it wants to be.

Artificially created life? I don't understand.

Hopefully, [friendship] will clear things up!

...

Maybe we all should wait for the Doc, and get our points allotted before we start waving the size of our fleets/ships/tech around, yeah?

Mechion Armed Naval Forces have the 20km long Seraph-class super-dreadnought. It has a main gun that has slightly less firepower than the deathstar's main cannon. (It won't pop a planet, but it will punch a pretty big hole.)

White Corps doesn't have anything as destructive which would deal a fatal blow to a planet's ecosystem in one shot. Or well, not unless designed that way. The means exist, the will and sufficient market for such weapons, does not.
What they focus is on efficiency. Ever hit by thousand tons of superdense metal at superluminal velocity? Then how about this projectile unraveling into a nearly endless strand of micron-thick strings during impact, slicing up the target into tiny pieces during the process?
The effects are as devastating as you think. :lol

The Coalition, as I stated, prefers to avoid fights. But if they do, then it's kinda....well, the mainline military isn't that good, mostly do to organization and such. However, the elite core are very good at what they do, even if most of their experience is with eradicating terrorists and insurgencies.

Why pay for a large military when you can just Adam Jenson their asses?

Life that did not arise naturally on it's own, but was made by an already sentient being, with it's own intelligence.

Here's my ships for the moment:

Space Winnebago- Width 4 meters, Length 7 meter long, and 4 meter high.

Cheap escort ship, Armed with exploding soda can blasters and toilet railgun.

Reengineered Engi Ship- Width 20 meters, Length 30 meter long and 8 meters High

Reengineered from a crashed Engi ship, is a medium ship with Ion blasters that disable tech, attack drones as well as repair drones.

I'm now slightly worried that I've been getting too IC and you think I actually didn't know what an AI is.

Mmmm, that lack of tone on the internet.

Basically, the Uelewa might...not...understand the idea of Robots very well.

Or they'll understand perfectly because they already have living tools to complete tasks; their [friends].

We'll see how it turns out, depending on communication and [friendship].

But yeah... my starting fleet probably actually has a 20km long ship... designed for being a excellent home for Bunnyies, of course...

I was assuming that you were talking from the PoV of your civilization, who don't know what an AI or artificial life is (Which admittedly is a bit ambiguous anyway)
