"This/Your party's
over. I'm crashing it."
Well, I'm not goign to start a vote on this yet, but honestly if I could just get soem sort of idea as to the characters personality I could do a lot with that.
So far I have vigilante ... and at the very least has serious moments, that's about it. Is he charming, cocky, does he have a sense of humor, or is he all buisness all the time? Does he genuinely love wrestling, does going out to the ring fill him with joy?
Are there any wrestlers in particular he enjoys watching or even looks up to?
Really, just having a basic sense of his personality would do a lot to help me write him and I'd probably end up givign him afew taunts without even noticing.
I'm thinking he's mostly a serious-type. Not as much so as, say, the Undertaker, but he's certainly no Shawn Michaels.
He's equally defined, as I see it, by two things: what he loves more than anything else, and what he hates more than anything else.
What he loves more than anything else, is wrestling as a sport. A competition. Two noble warriors beating the hell out of each other with pride on the line, and respect for a worthy opponent.
And what he hates, no,
DESPISES more than anything else -- to the point that it's all but consumed him...
is when The Bad Guys Win.
He's like that wide-eyed kid, full of dreams and hopes and promise and wearing every bit of merch his little piggy bank can get him, who watches and cheers in awe as [Babyface McAwesome] tussles with [Heel O'Fuckwit], hits the finisher, and gets the pin for the World Heavyweight Championship....
.....and then can do nothing but just...
sit there, heartbroken, as [Babyface McAwesome]
sells out to become an even filthier, more despicable villain than those he had previously fought against. "WHY, [Babyface]?!" he sobs out, choking on his tears. "
WHHHHYYYYY?!"
And because Wrestling Is Real, he
never gets over it. Ever. It consumes him, takes him over.
In Carter's own mind, I imagine that what he wants to do is "fix" wrestling, make it "better". Make it into a world where even if "the good guys" don't always
win, and "the bad guys" will always,
always lose.
He doesn't care so much about having any Championship titles
himself, as that the titles are held by someone "
worthy" (in his mind probably meaning "strong face characters").
He kind of wants to present himself as this edgelord antihero enemy of evil.... but every now and then (when his angst button isn't pressed), he kind of slips up now and then and shows hints that he's still that same little mark he was as a kid (like if he were in WWE, he'd be visibly trying his damnedest not to squee in excitement at being in the same room as The Undertaker/The Rock/Stone Cold Steve Austin/Mick Foley, or he'd start getting tsuntsun if Bayley/[other favorite/cute female wrestler] hugged/teased/approached him, etc.).
.........at least, that's what I imagined on the spot. I'unno what the rest of my co-players have in mind.
