Title?I am bad at omake-making when there aren't much information to go on and I have no idea what the cross is or who those people are because of reasons. Anyways, I present you, W, an omake.

The park had a relaxing atmosphere to it and you couldn't help yourself from closing your eyes, ingesting the peacefulness that your mind lacked in the previous days. It was difficult, not knowing what to say and not knowing what you think, your mind making suggestions, your body executing as you willed. As you inhaled the fresh air, you heard slow footsteps, the giggling of a man, a woman, and a son.
He looked up, hands outstretched as his father lifted him up and spun him around with a large smile, his mother gazing at them both with a smile on her face, laughing gently. As his father held him close to his chest, he laced his small arms to his father's neck, embracing him. They spun around again, the sun slowly disappearing as clouds covered the light. It rained and his father ran.
"Father, where is mother?" The kid questioned, gripping at his father's shirt as he sprinted away.
His father spoke, but the thunder overshadowed his words. The kid stared at his father's face and he was confused. Why was father crying?
His father stumbled and the kid fell. His father was on the ground, but he was still falling. The kid stretched out both his hands, no words escaping his lips as he expected his father to catch him.
Still, as the inky darkness consumed his body, his hands were still outstretched. Any time now, he thought, Father will always catch me.
Now, as he descended, the kid no longer knew whether his eyes were closed or not. He brought his hands towards his face. The kid cried and he folded his arms and knees to his chest. He--
"Shinji." You opened your eyes, tears flowing down your cheeks. You saw him. The father, your father, put his hands on your shoulders, gently shaking you. "Shinji, are you alright?"
And then, you smiled.

crappy omake sorry bye
At the very start, before meeting anyone else in the city, Shinji saw Rei standing on an empty street. Given that she was underground, possibly unconscious, probably doped up on pain killers, and had a lot of broken bones at the time, it couldn't have really been her. It might have been a projection of Lilith. Or a projection of Rei. Or some amalgamation of the two.
Wut.At the very start, before meeting anyone else in the city, Shinji saw Rei standing on an empty street. Given that she was underground, possibly unconscious, probably doped up on pain killers, and had a lot of broken bones at the time, it couldn't have really been her. It might have been a projection of Lilith. Or a projection of Rei. Or some amalgamation of the two.
Or it was one of the ghost Reis from EoE and the entire series except for the very last scene of the movie was in Third Impact.
Since Kaworu is possibly (a naturally occurring version of) to Adam what Rei is to Lilith, he might see him instead because butterflies?
Don't worry. From what I've heard, even if you had actually watched the original anime, you would still be just as confused and lost as you are now.
It probably requires a more than passing familiarity with the source material.
Could've sworn I covered the Mass Produced Ayanamis in the abridged version, and what was used to make them. Unless 3 or 1 was specified elsewhere to represent a different value, 3+1 should still be 4. The relevant information has all been given by this point. It probably requires a more than passing familiarity with the source material.
MPA..? Uhh... Weren't those just the inactive clones?Could've sworn I covered the Mass Produced Ayanamis in the abridged version, and what was used to make them. The spares were somehow important to (NERV's) Dummy System. But the important bit was the role one would be needed for, because of what all of them were made of. (Lilith. The Reis were made with Lilith.)
Uhh. Wait so the dummy plugs were filled with mass-produced Reis? The spares were somehow important to (NERV's) Dummy System. But the important bit was the role one would be needed for, because of what all of them were made of. (Lilith. The Reis were made with Lilith.)
Rei's for NERV, Kaworu's for SEELEUhh. Wait so the dummy plugs were filled with mass-produced Reis?
Okay...
...still confused, but thanks for the clarification! Not that it's going to matter in this quest.
The Reis weren't physically in the plugs, but Ritsuko's Ayanamicide was referred to as 'destroying the dummy system', while the Reiquarium is referred to as the Dummy Plug Plant.Uhh. Wait so the dummy plugs were filled with mass-produced Reis?
Okay...
I'm glad it helped you. I'm just even more confused. At least it probably won't be important to the quest.
My boots are wet, 'cuz I'm at sea, too!I'm glad it helped you. I'm just even more confused. At least it probably won't be important to the quest.
I would provide a picture of the Plant for context, but I'm pretty sure there's a rule against images of 30+ soulless, effectively brain-dead, and naked teenage girls floating in a tank.I'm glad it helped you. I'm just even more confused. At least it probably won't be important to the quest.

Leafy flora?
For reasons unclear to me, I suddenly want to believe that it is Ganondorf. You know, I thought occurs to me. Not once has our father been described, or even mentioned by name. And since this is a crossover quest, for now I'm going to operate under the assumption that our dad is not Gendo, but someone from another series. The 'ballsy' comment makes me think even more that it's not Gendo.
