Welp, looks like the quest is doomed to bad end now. Thanks SV, your loot addiction has doomed us.

Didn't we literally just go through this period where we explained and had it explained that taking the spear is a Bad IdeaTM?
they know that. It's punishment for others actually voting for it. They want them to see the bad end is for real.

No.

All of these options are bad. There is nothing good that can come from this place.

Our options here are which flavour of bad we want, which way we want the narrative to go as we struggle to deal with this.

Oberon knows Neptune can shoot giant swords that explode with the force of a tactical nuke. Either he can adapt his tactics to catch Neptune in a position where she can't use the Megablade and then skewer her... or he could acquire an equalizer that lets him counter goddess bullshit, like a Memory Artefact Weapon that shoots blasts of golden sunfire and use that to skewer Nep-Nep.

Is it a coincidence that this just happens to be a light based weapon?

And Rei knows about the spear, so we can't bet on Oberon not knowing about it.

goddamn it, I hate it when taking the evil weapon is the least bad option. Let's try and not go Conquest Ending with it though. Oh and Corn, Swordo beat you to the punch. :p

[x] take it.

You do realize that by "least bad", what they actually mean is "most interesting", right?
well at this point I have ran out of fucks to give, and Exploding the fort can turn out just as bad for us, so yes, I am choosing what is most interesting of shitty decisions. The only thing keeping me from it was thinking it was instant bad end, but Glorious GM @Swordomatic said that wouldn't happen. Yet atleast.

Most of the hints i do leak out and things that you can usually find out if you read closer, pay attention to minor details and a little bit of guess work. I try not to reveal things that too... revealing. Every little tibbit or hint I shoot out is run by swordo so that I don't tell you all too much.

I personally feel that you lot are just way salty about how easily I can flip a vote around with a few words. But it's fine really. I'll keep my hinting for when you lot do something really, really fucking stupid then.
It's more along the lines of you and your attitude of acting like you have knowledge of something then lording over it and annoy people with it that pisses me off.

I wouldn't have problems with what you said you did but the way you did it was the problem.

Or you find issue with the fact that I can easily push a vote anyway i like.

Don't like it? Tough shit.

I noticed given that I have no idea what Tuol Sleng was and no desire to google it, i just edited in cursed hellhole so it's a torture camp i guess you learn something new everyday.
While torture took place at Tuol Sleng - or officially Security Prison 21 - it was actually more of an execution center. One of 150 that the Khmer Rouge maintained across Cambodia.

[] Quickly scrounge nearby for explosives, enough to collapse the building the spear is housed in.
-[] If found...
--[] Rig the place up to bring the house down. If you can rig up some tripwires, great, but you'll also want remote detonation capabilities just in case.
---[] To that end, leave the squad as a perimeter force. If anything goes into the building, they pop it. If it's OP himself, it should at least slow him down enough to call Neptune in to nuke the place.
-[] If they can't find anything...
--[] Leave, and set the squad as a perimeter force. If OP or his goons try something, they can at least call it in.

I don't like coming up with plans, but took a stab at it anyways. Thoughts?

[X] Nuke the site from above. It's the only way to be sure. (Spend 1 Share, Fort Herakles is Annihilated, Risk of Interception) (x1.5)

Oh hey, better check Hyperdimension Risi-
*Sees everyone voting for take it.*

Guys.

Guys.

I'm not being stupid. I want to be, but I'm not.

Don't do this please. I think it's a bad idea.

Like, 99% sure.

But I do want to see what happens.

Just not enough to fuck everything.

EDIT: I've entered bizzaro land.
Ah hah! I've found it again, and it's even more appropriate!

these are all equally terrible decisions. I think that is the point. The all have major drawbacks, one will make Oberon put his A-game on overdrive, another will give him a powerup, and the other may make Neptune go Conquest ending or become Rei's Sith apprentice or whatever Swordo wants for corruption. It's one of those tough leader decisions Neptune will have to make and regret all the outcomes. It was coming sooner or later, from what Swordo has been hinting at. So, I guess this is a pick your poison scenario.

Oh, I know all the decisions have drawbacks, but even out of your ideas I don't think they're equally terrible. Pick your poison out of wasp stings and cyanide, for example. Both suck, but one rather more so.

Man, I look away for a day and it all goes to hell in a handbasket.

Remind me again why blowing this place to kingdom come is worse than having Neptune drink from the Evil Firehose? Because I'm pretty sure one of these leads to a situation we can solve with brute strength (which Nep is pretty darn good at!), and the other leads to getting the helpful goddess in her brain replaced by a literal Satan.

Do you guys really want that? Because I'm pretty sure the devil tempting people into sin is supposed to be metaphorical, not a literal thing.

these are all equally terrible decisions. I think that is the point.
Except they're not equally terrible decisions because even if you view the invisible text as equivalent taking the blade had Neptune herself saying it was a very bad idea, and everyone else freaking out over being in the same room.
Go Conquest Ending! :lol:rofl:

I'm not sorry.
Given one of the possible prologue outcomes was Luteus defeating clone Rei only to be corrupted, and forced to pass a willpower check to commit suicide before she was fully corrupted whereupon she would exterminate her own nation, I'm pretty sure it isn't something as happy as conquer the world to defeat a demon at the expense of all your friends lives to power a cursed weapon.

Like seriously why are people expecting an outcome somehow different than the corruption option we already know is plausible when Rei is involved?

Meh, let's just go down Darth Vader's route. We better get awesome prosthetics that make us fight better after being maimed and horribly burned.
