Huh, didn't realize till now but D is from Ace Combat, which is the last place I expected a space ship to come from. Then again I never did play Electrosphere and there's kind of precedence with the Arkbird.

I like B because it looks like an advanced combat ship and I like D because it looks really sleek, kinda reminds me of the Excelion from Gunbuster

C is good too but it's too bricky imo for "superhigh tech ship". It looks like the biggest one though so there's that

A is okay but it looks like Apple got to paint a Covenant ship

In this case, 'Jack of All Trades' seems to be sufficient from the description of how each group handles the pod. The first two options are out of luck if something goes wrong outside their expertise (either with being unable to fix the pod or being unable to shoot the Best Woof Friend if she escapes the pod). With the Engineers, they can fix the pod if it gets busted up and they can save themselves if Best Woof Friend escapes and turns into a murderous murder alien.

Because Sophons are great and shiny and have the coolest toys.
(And Vodyani are annoying, I don't know if C's from anything but Google suggested Event Horizon and we're having enough trouble not Hugging Hellscape Happy Entities, and D's alright but not something that grabs me that much.)

Elegant swordship is a pretty good aesthetic.
