Headway Information:
1. You cannot take more than two of the same option in a single day unless explicitly stated that you may. Headway does not allow training of the same option twice in a day.
2. "Powers" are supernatural abilities that can only be learned by you.
3. "Magic" is a catch-all term for supernatural abilities that can be taught to others. They are not necessarily magic.
4. You have a 50% chance of gaining a power from an enemy you defeat with a cooperative effort with other people (not beings created by your power).
5. You have a 70% chance of gaining a power from a defeated enemy.
6. You have a 100% chance of gaining a power from a killed enemy, cooperative or not.
7. You are playing a good person and a nascent hero. Remember that.

Voting Rules:
Please vote in Plan form. Name your plan like [X] Plan Name-goes-here, then list all the actions. This helps with the vote count.

Rankings:
A very general idea of how the ranking system works, mostly based around physical general skills, but you should be able to guess how they relate for most things. 0 is nonexistent skill, 1 below average, 2 is average, 3 is above average , 4 is professional level, 5 is low level Olympian, 6 is peak human, 7 is Batman level superhuman, 8 is Captain America level superhuman, 9 is demigod level, and 10 is god level. It probably won't go above that except in special cases. Keep in mind that that isn't always the case, and those scales usually only work for general skills. Generally, 1-6 is fairly easy, but it gets much more difficult after that. 9 and 10 are largely just better than Cap-level superhuman, don't take them to literally mean a specific example of divine stature. They're just very, very impressive.

Here comes Jaune Arc, Part 1
You are Jaune Arc, and you want to be a hero! Well, first you need to become a huntsman before that, after all a huntsman protects the kingdoms and humanity in general from the grimm right? There's no great honor than to become a protector of the weak.

It doesn't help that all of them are so cool too.

That being said during all those years you were a disappointment to your family. Oh sure they never outright state it, but you could see in their eyes whenever you failed at something the light of your parents would dim a little.

When you failed entering a preparatory combat school your father smile didn't reach his eyes even if he patted you on the head and said he were proud of you regardless of what you did. Even if they were alright with your failures, for some strange, arcane reason, you certainly weren't.

You grew up hearing stories of your ancestors, on how they were all acclaimed heroes themselves and you certainly wanted to measure up to that legacy. It wasn't until that you acquired those fake transcripts that you decided to make or break for your chance.

Either live or die, you would try your hardest to become a huntsman.

Preferably living because it's kind of hard to be a huntsman while being dead.

~~O~~

[ ]You acquired the fake transcripts and it's one week before the Beacon initiation, when suddenly something inside of you... shifted. (Easy Mode)
[ ]Pyrrha unlocked your aura, and with great clarity came. With this clarity came power and purpose. (Hard Mode)

Okay so What i got is We gain power from the things we kill mimicking their abilitys like Blue magic?

so... if we kill a bunch of grimm we gain hate empowerment and feed off of negative emotions? and can grow "Bone" armor and enhanced strength?

and if we kill or defeat someone with a semblance we can do that as well?

Headway Through Remnant [RWBY]
Oh, very nice combo there.

That is just one power. the system is basically "The Gamer lite".
*You still get most of your skills from training like in The Gamer. And there are a ton of them, like washing dishes, running, jumping, exercise, etc
-No UI
-No party system (the gamer is too often The Trainer. effectively giving a copy of his powers to so many people that the QM then has to track the XP gains for)
-No excel spreadsheet where the QM has to try to keep track of the massive details of XP gain for skills
+When you kill (or defeat and make the dice roll) something you have a chance to steal a random power from it, that includes the power to "be species X", which give you the ability to shapeshift. Note that defeating only works if you consider them a true enemy and haven't engineered things in order to farm their skills
+repeated killings give you more attempts to gain power, and can also level up a power as an alternative to training it.
*Instead of skills going from 1 to 100 and then prestiging, skills go from 1-10 (usually, there are exceptions).

note: plus and minus indicate additions and removals, not positive and negative

Pretty much, yes.

Nice another Headway quest hope this one goes far, and another Jaune quest, now we have enought Jaunes to make a full team.

Eh. I want to build up enough power to not die instantly.

Granted, canon Jaune managed to survive, but it believe that's a function of the universe looking after madmen and fools.

With a power like this, going hard mode is much more interesting especially with the types of enemies we'll face. And it's boring to retread Beacon Initiation from the beginning.

@ryuan everytime I see a post from you that's not for Legacy of a Hero I die a little bit inside

Eh. I want to build up enough power to not die instantly.
It is a risk that we can derail canon enough to die during the test. but it's not too likely, and we will quickly catch up for those missing 2 weeks. And the canon dynamic of the test is just too fun, it wouldn't be cool to have us be too effective there
And it's boring to retread Beacon Initiation from the beginning.
that too, i would like to just timeskip to the time mid test where jaunes aura is awoken
