After considering it, you decide to let your Host decide. While you are fairly certain that it'd be more advantageous to join, you were not given any powers pertaining to planning or modeling the future, so you choose to defer to your Hosts experiences with such.
As such you let your Host speak, their gaze lowering to the ground for a few moments. Their mouth curled into a frown before looking back to Armsmaster. "I'd like that… but I just don't think it's the place for me. I'm just not that much of a team person, I prefer to be by my lonesome. I-I appreciate it." Your Host paused before continuing. "But no thank you."
The other host nodded "Understandable, though I hope you change your mind. If you do not wish to join the Wards, then I suggest you register with the PRT. In exchange for following a few basic rules, you'll be supplied with a small monthly stipend and some supplies to assist with the job, such as a burner phone preloaded with the numbers of the PRT, Protectorate, and other emergency services."
Your Host nodded and asked, "What are the rules?"
"Various restrictions on what is and isn't acceptable in what situation, which mostly boil down to 'don't break the law' and 'don't use excessive force.'" They replied easily.
Your Host nodded with a small smile. "I can do that." They paused before asking , "Don't I need my Dad to sign paperwork or things?"
"That contract will be signed with your Parahuman Persona, not your civilian one. Parahuman Personas are often treated as a special entity in legal matters, so that capes can still conduct business without having to reveal their identity to anyone. If you joined the Wards, your Father would be required to consent, but it is not required for Registration." They explained.
Your Host nodded after a second. "Okay. I'll uh, register then."
They smiled. "That's good. You can also use the Protectorate number to set up joint-patrols with the Wards, if you'd like. Would let you get a taste of what it's like working with them, as well as help you get experience with patrolling. A cape's first few outings tend to be their most dangerous, being completely new at it." Your Host simply nodded in reply. Seeing that they understood, Armsmaster nodded as well. "Now that we are through with that, do you have any questions? If not, I'll be on my way."
"Um. How do I register?" Your Host asked after a few seconds. "You didn't say how."
"You head down to the local PRT Office, and ask the receptionist. They'll assist you from there. Do you require the address?" Your Host shook their head. "Then if that's all…" They paused, seeming to wait to see if your Host had anything to interject, and when they didn't, Armsmsater continued "Then I'll be on my way. I hope you have a speedy recovery." They said as they made their way out the door.
Your Host gave a simple wave to them as they left the door. The rest of the day proceeded much the same as the other days your Host was here. The Father stopped by, talked and ate with them. More needles and fluids. The change of this day being your Host asking their Father when they'd leave to which it responded with, "Tomorrow." It seemed your final day in this building was today.
