Oh Aincrad didn't have a theif system? I though it had Ninja's and stuff and everything.

SAO Progressive 1 mentioned her fighting style. High AGI + evasion build. There are ninja guilds in SAO with the same build, and one of them tried to force Argo to sell them where to find the Martial Arts skill quest to accompany their build.

Barring glitches, no stealing was possible as it's blocked by Crime Prevention Code.

Also, I'm looking for a volunteer to go through and collect all the story posts. My laptop ate it, and the files on my desktop are all early drafts (shouldn't effect the current progress though). It would be appreciated if someone has the time.

Its been discussed, extensively and several times over. We've agreed that, while they are a good number of technologically inclined people, they are simply to far back. See, in order to make modern conviences anything more than a rarity, they would need the tools to make the tools to make the tools to make the tools to make them. In otherwords, sixty years from now, they'll /maybe/ have their first automobile. Thirty years from now? Yeah...electricity is still a far off dream.
 
@Xavier Rall is writing Aincrad Realized, which was inspired by this fic. So came to check it out, and found that I'd already liked every chapter! I don't remember reading any of this! And I'm loving every bit of it! But really, is something wrong with my head? Why can't I remember this fic, despite obviously having read it before? Also you should check out Aincrad Realized, it's really good.
