Ahh, to be young and have time to play video games again. :lol2:
That's not even right. I kept thinking this way, but when I actually replay those childhood games and do the same stuff I did back then, it always turns out to be a really quick affair. Like Crisis Core, that game's way too short for how much I remember playing it, even considering the side content.

It's more to do with the ability to enjoy doing the same thing over and over again, I think. Or else childhood memories are just more vivid in general.

Lemmie know if you readers out there have a preference for future pages. "Better artwork" is not one I am sure I can make happen, LOL, however, how to color in the lineart I have some control over.

1) Markers are fastest and easiest for me, but they look a little janky sometimes, especially when they start to run out of ink.

2) I think doing black and white screentones in photoshop is a lot of fun, but they kill my computer if I layer too many in.

3) Digital coloring is a little easier on my potato processors, but it's less fun for me because I'm doing it all with a mouse and the path tool. (My Huion stylus stopped working properly ever since Microsoft switched to Windows Ink. Thanks, Microsoft. Thanks so much.)

4) go back to watercolors already Enkida! (or try gouache, sameish thing)

If no1curr, I'll just keep experimenting until I find a groove I guess!
If only I knew what all these words in bold meant visually... Right now you're doing digital coloring, right?

Yeah, page 423 was all digital coloring, and page 424 was a combination of digital coloring and digital screentones. Page 425 is also definitely going to be a digital colored page (because I didn't draw it well enough to convey the idea I was presenting without the use of color), but after that, we'll see. It's certainly faster when I work in 100% traditional media (finish the page, scan it in, put in the bubble text in on the computer, and it's done), but I also think my marker coloring technique is pretty sloppy. This might help:

this next page is gouache, as requested. My first time using it! Lemmie know what you think. It wasn't as fast as I expected, but still faster than coloring in photoshop (for me).

Naw, it's just hard for me to control the color because everything is a custom mix and I don't draw a bunch if pages for painting beforehand.

just sharing a workflow of the next page because a friend wanted to see what I was up to so I was taking screenshots as I did it in Discord. I haven't decided how I'm going to color this one yet, though in all likelihood, half with markers and half on the computer. We'll see!

sleep on it, correct again in photoshop XD
