Appearance can be bought up later or made up for with MAXIMUM PRESENCE and UBER MANIPULATION and BEST SOCIAL CHARMS, none of which call attention to us when we don't want them to. Appearance is something we can't turn off, and which makes us memorable.

Being memorable is not good for being able to quietly and unobtrusively stroll into the satrapy's police HQ and make off with their yeddim-cruiser.

The yeddim-cruiser may or may not have a little flashy rotating light strapped to its head.

On the other hand, why wouldn't we have Loom-Snarling Deception and be able to change appearance at whim?

I generally agree with the leading Favored Abilities. Tempted to swap out Performance for Investigation, though. It might go better with the idea of being a Master Thief. But Performance has solid backing, and it could perhaps be spun as something completely unrelated to the "Thief" concept, like being a skilled musician. Being good at stuff that isn't directly related to the core concept is a way to get a more well-rounded and thus realistic character, after all. And Abilities don't really matter that much for Infernals anyway.

Going with Dude because Chick seems likely to turn out a lot more stereotyped.

And I think Social, Mental, Physical is the right order of Attributes for the character. He isn't hugely combat-focused, and being really good at manipulating other people is pretty key to concept. I put Mental ahead of Physical because raw Intelligence and knowledge are pretty important to being a Master Thief. Striking Appearance is also useful at times, and if being recognized is a detriment for a particular caper, that's what Loom-Snarling Deception is for.

Martial Arts are powerful, yes. But when it comes down to it, they are noticeably weaker than Infernal Charms. In addition, consider the Caste and Favored Yozi's we took. Adorjan and TED are both dodge focused guys, which means that taking healing charms and such will be a waste when we never get hit.

Seems alright if we're from Gem or thereabouts the South. I'd really want to see a vote on where the character is from and who they were (in a general sense) before the Exaltation before I commit to a vote. It's pretty important to being thoughtful.
