Goblin Queen [Worm/Exalted] [Crosspost]

GER's posting induces a 2nd trigger in Grue.

The 2nd trigger survives the reality collapse.

Grue has no idea why his powers just got more awesome, but sometimes at night he dreams of bad fanfiction until he wakes up screaming.

Oh God, she's gone meta. SHE'S GONE META.

Tell GER to get her ass back in the right story and handle that damn Endbringer.

/me auuuuus helplessly from inside the tanuki cage.

That's more something that might happen to Lisa.

Get back to writing and I'll let you out of the cage. We've been over this.

Teaser~

"Dad... I'll be fine," I sighed into my phone. Certainly, I could understand his concern... but there was something that made me want to do this. Need even.

After all, what kind of cape would I be if I didn't show up? Even villains would show up to help protect this city. For me not to show up as the Rose Knight, that would be the ultimate renouncement of what I stood for.

"Oh Taylor," I could hear him sigh in response and in admission that he couldn't talk me out of this. "Just do what you can to stay safe?"

"I promise you,
by my ring, and my cup,
by my sword, and my staff,

I'll do what I can to stay safe.
I will return home after this,
even if I'm the last person left."

I breathed in after my promise to dad. There was a moment of silence from my phone now as he felt my oath bind itself into reality.

Our redoubtable Rose Knight during her upcoming battle.

She is going to return as undead, doesn't she... It could only be worse if she had a month left till retirement.

Brian: So, did I show you a photo of my sister who is waiting for me to return home from this battle? You know, I've become a cape to get custody for her, and it looks like the issue will be decided in my favor in a month. So you may say I'm doing my last big job here.
Taylor: Also, you are black.
Brian: Huh? Why is that suddenly relevant?
Taylor: No reason. *coughdethflagscough*

I wonder whether he is wearing a red shirt there...
Edit: Coming to think of it, Rose Knight IS a rookiest member of the Undersiders, AND she has red in her costume ( more of green, but who cares about technicalities? ) she isn't a perfect fit to the narrative, but she DID utter the Oath, which should count for a lot.
Anyways, she has something far worse then Levi to worry about: she has the worst EB of them all against her - Murphy.

First thing I thought after reading this: Just what Worm needs, some Dark Souls added in.

Yeah, Mortifer has that handled pretty well.

"And so it begins. The beginning of the end, the end of the beginning."

*Insert further plot/narrative/siddie jokes here*

I'm not worried for Taylor about the death flags. She'll be the last one left: The last Hebert. This teaser is a false death flag operation.

So I read everything(at last) and I must say it is just glorious all hails to the Tanuki(well the Tanuki shaped Raksha). This Taylor is just brillant and I love the Doctor who references(Rose Taylor, her doing a"basically run"speech...)and all the other things, now some questions(which might have been answered but I just read the story posts and not the whole threads)
- What mutations does Taylor always have on ? It is said that she uses the Perfect Healing factor(I would too) sowhat else does she have ? If some of her munchkin nature is still there somewhere I would think she would go with those along the perfect healing factor:

* GOD-BLOODED PRODIGY(Scroll of Heroes page 134)
This mutation supernaturally expands the boundaries of the God-Blood's mind and muscle memory. As a result, the character can select an additional Favored Ability. This is treated as identical to any other Favored Ability or Abilities he possesses. This mutation may be taken up to four times.

* IMMORTALITY(Scroll of Heroes page 134)
While not wholly supernatural, the God-Blood gains a complete immunity to the ravages of time. At some point, usually early adulthood, the character simply stops aging. The God-Blood can still be killed or succumb to disease or the elements, but he will never die of old age. Characters possessing this mutation are also immune to any spells or other supernatural effects that cause aging. This mutation is most common among children of gods and other beings who themselves do not age.

- Also Panacea seems to have gotten the knack to transmit the perfect healing factor, granted Rose seems to have talked her out of giving it to everyone however I think she might transmit it to her sister: When She learned about the pefect healing factor She just saw her get shot and badly hurt during the museum attack so given her attachment to Victoria it stands to reason that she would do anything to keep her safe and giving her a powerful healing ability seems like the thing to do.

- On Emma, Girl has become a Dragon Blooded(which feats her in a way, also damn that was one great Cauldron vial)and seems disturbingly focused on swords, so will Emma train and learn new tricks ? Will she stagnate content with her current power ? Will she learn the even blade style ?

Your omake were wonderful, I loved Sword!Taylor and Way!Taylor was beautiful, but the other was great and disturbing as is the cup, I would ove to see the PRT and other gangs point of view on Bloody Addiction who probably made the Merchants more than they are in canon or most fics. Also are there plans on a Staff!Taylor snippet ?

Thanks Nigel Isaacs. :3

Mutations, she tends to have perfect healing, hereditary position, elemental puissance, and essence abundance almost always on in some combination.

As for favored abilities and other stuff... I'll let Taylor handle this.

Taylor "Well, the truth is, I do have five favored abilities like anyone sane. However, rather than depend on mutations for this, I went with the Extra Favored Ability merit on page 53 of the scroll of heroes. This does mean I can't casually switch things about... but on the other hand, no golden bullshit is going to punch or spank my favored abilities from me by destroying mutations that I have active. No sirree."

Taylor "As for the immortality mutation. I would like to take it... but... the truth is, I feel that nature might increase the size of my... erm... talent. Yes... talent! That sounds legit and more tasteful than 'essence pools'."

Taylor "I do feel I impressed on Panacea the need to vet who she gives that mutation to. After all, if everyone can just do the healing thing, it won't be a special thing.... and that would be sad. Because it's not inheritable."

Taylor "It's sad, but Emma did become a dragonblooded. Which is good for her... it's helped her grow beyond a background character. I was getting a bit worried there. And yes, she does seem a tad fixated on swords and melee instead of martial arts. And who knows, she might eventually find the time to do some meditation... maybe."

Taylor "Oh, the other versions of me? Well... personally, I find Bloody Addiction worrying with her ability to make everyone need her. Also the Sword Grace version, I think her name is Echidna... and yes, she's worryingly scary. Also, Way Grace version of me... she's amusing. Captain Nemo will definitely go places. As for the Staff Grace version of me.... well, she's very much a company girl... and yes, there are plans."

If she's so concerned about the size of her 'talent' then couldn't she just ask Panacea for a favor? (with certain definitions of 'ask' and 'favor' because I don't remember their particular intimacies toward each other here)

Besides, it'd be much easier to simply be content with the knowledge that they're an attractive size.

Scroll of Heroes.

I may have just lost some respect for you there, Taylor.
