Costume: On her front upper body, Ran wears dark blue light armour that protects her from damage, while the suit on her back is made out of a gel-like material. The limbs her quirk creates can pass through the material easily.

Metal Tentacle
Metal Tentacle is a quirk that can let Ran manifest a maximum of four limbs made of metal from her back. She can make her limbs one of three types: Tentacles, in which case they have a round end, arms, which have metal hands, and pointed ends. They're quick and nimble, and can extend up to 20 metres at a high speed, which she can use to pierce through walls and pierce into rock with her pointed limbs. They can curl up on themselves, too, and are harder than most naturally occurring and artificial metals.

Bio: Ran, ever since she was a kindergartener, wanted to be a superhero. She looked up at the top heroes of Japan, including the greatest of them all, All Might! But her quirk hadn't awakened yet, even well into her years of Junior High... The doctors said that it would come eventually, and that she just had a rare condition that made her quirk appear late, but she never believed them. She was laughed at and pushed away from society, and called 'quirkless' by her peers. She was still an excitable girl at heart, but she retreated into her shell over time, losing all hope of becoming a superhero, and all drive.
Then, one day, she woke up and discovered that she had her quirk! Ecstatic, she went to school that day overflowing with excitement, hoping that now that she had her quirk, no-one would bully her any more, and she could fit in - her being a superhero didn't even fit into it. But it didn't matter to her schoolmates, who still treated her as pathetically as they did before, and her hopes were shattered. But that day, as her most common assailants - a pair of girls with strong powers - laughed at her, another person stood up for her - a boy with no quirk at all, a quirkless.
The bullies were surprised, but quickly went back to laughing at Ran - and the quirkless now, too - but after the boy had defended her, their words didn't affect Ran very much at all. They left soon after, chuckling among themselves. Ran looked at the quirkless, awe on her face, and asked why he defended her, when he had no quirk. What he said was that she was proof that even though he was quirkless, she gave him hope that he could one day get a quirk of all his own and become a hero.
What the boy said reawakened her dream to become a superhero. With her new quirk, she took a class in acrobatics, to help her with agility and ways to utilize her limbs, and she started to study harder. She aimed for the top - for UA High. And there was nothing that could stop her now.
Even so, the bullying had left its mark. She is shy and awkward, and it takes a lot for her to trust people fully, although her inner energy comes out on occasion when she is truly happy or excited.
