I keep getting the shittiest fucking unworkable powers. I'm basically just rolling out of irritation right now.

I hate this website so much, it could use a lot of pruning holy shit.

tell us these shitty powers you've gotten. Maybe it's possible to work them into something usable?
A whole lot of OP bs that can't function as a hero power. Embodiment of X which is just plain stupid and out of line with anything we see in the show, Soul which wouldn't actually have any outward uses, Time Travel, turning people into milk cartons, magic which is out because quirks are explicitly not magical, OPENING PATHWAYS TO HELL, being a dimensional key complete with a keyblade picture, inducing spring time, having an extra heart which isn't even a fucking power; generally I've rolled things that are unusable in anything that would have 'good writing' attached to it.

Oh, but I did get the literal power of the Noumu. The only citation was Noumu.

This site is giving me the middle finger. It wants me to be the fucking final boss or a villian because the next power I rolled WAS BEING A FUCKING NECROMORPH!

... You're doing it wrong. Embodiment's work fine as long as you tone them down, Soul stuff might or might not work if you get creative with it, what the fuck is wrong with time travel, turning people into milk cartons is weird but usable, types of magic can be changed into weird quirks, dimensional key could be interesting for travel, spring time inducement could be reconfigured into heat powers and growing plants, having an extra heart could be reworked to include other redundant organs for enhanced physical abilities and necromorph powers could be a good person with bad powers situation.

Randomized powers are the devil,I give up.

I mean, I got a Heart power, so....~ I'm using it, but it's not a super spectacular hero Quirk. But also, I'm altering the base page into something that will be interesting to play around with. So it could be you can just use something as a basis, you know?

Basically yeah. There's a lot you can do just by using the random page as the base. If it's a godmode you reroll for free.

I decided to do a second click

Got bodily gas manipulation

As in the ability to fart

At that point, like fuck it man

I'll just do the less dumb thing I rolled the first time
That sounds super quirky tho. :V

*falls over laughing*

Hey Boss @LostDeviljho what exactly constitutes a costume upgrade?
Note: Costume Upgrades can be stuff like heavy armor, a specialized tool for your quirk, various gadgets, and so on. Something like power armor, however, is the domain of Pro Heroes who can use their money and contacts to fund development. Your Costume augments your Quirk and Skills - it does not replace them.
If you're looking for a specific example, think like Bakugou's blast gauntlets, or how Todoroki's costume comes with a built-in heater to help counteract the backlash of his powers.

I have the strange weird urge to talk about Jojo and it bizarre and creative use of power.

The whole 'randomized power roll' thing seems completely arbitrary when a site resource like that should be something a player uses when they're low on ideas, rather than to create the core of their character's skillset from the get-go. Having to work around a pre-determined ability limits what you can explore in terms of your character's personality and narrative development, not to mention the fact that it's filled with a ton of junk items not really usable for the RP and how a player can just keep rolling until they get something they like without notifying the GM until they've landed on it by 'coincidence.' It's an entirely pointless process since power limitations and extents will be vetted by the GM during the application process anyways, and for those people who actually follow it, it'll just shaft them out of being able to find an interesting ability to base their character concept around and likely rob them of their chance to get accepted into the game proper.

tl;dr it's like if your employer took a random number of papers out of a stack of applications without looking at them and immediately threw them out under the pretense of "I don't want unlucky people working here."

This seems pretty ill-thought out on the GM's side of things.

I'm sorry if I have high standards about what does and does not fit into a decidedly not magical setting, as well as being very critical regarding self policing possible powers in order to be most conductive to the RP.

I mean I could have Virtue Inducement.I could have a power that would theoretically allow me to make everyone around me act with supreme goodness. But that sort of shit would limit everyone else's character and wouldn't actually let my character be useful in combat or heroics. The only thing it would work for is forcing others to be virtue obeying, and that is quite frankly unfun. The power would make for an interesting npc or villain but is otherwise an agency killer.
