Oh no. Oh dear, no. Let's put it this way:

Lytek may hate Telion more than he hates Shepard.

Hate is a strong word.

Dislike, no?

Telion behaving in an improper way for a Zenith as well would gather strong dislike from Lytek?

...

Or is there an actual divine reason Lytek truly hates him?

Lytek's motivation is to restore Solars to the glorious monarchs of Creation.

Telion is more interested in building a system that doesn't require Solars to run it, as he believes the Realm- both the Eternal First Age Realm and the present are, 'Nations by, of, and for the Exalted.'

Additionally, once Telion found out about Lytek, Telion would on regular basis send prayers to him where he would ask about Solars going mad and if there was a reason for it. Which, well, if the Great Curse goes public, Lytek's a fucking dead man.

Isn't he already? :p

The God of Death is too busy partying to log it in his journal. :p
Why is he partying? I thought the casualty list from Autobot's visit to Creation is not so long as to warrant a party..yet. :p

Well, I wonder what kind of difficulty it is to figure out those tools... I remember reading that each tool was an N/A artifact in of itself, which means you can't just auto-understand it with Holistic Miracle Understanding. But it looks like he had to burn a bunch of motes on an excellency to figure it out, which means he had to make a roll.
2nd Excellency means never saying "I fail."

Well, nearly never. You still need to have enough dice to actually physically meet the required successes. 10 successes with Int 2 Craft 1 just isn't gonna happen, even with Excellencies.

Of course, as an experienced Solar craftsman, Path probably has his dice pools maxed out, so yeah. :p

Well, there's also the bit that even with an amazing roll I'm pretty sure it takes longer then that to have a good reverse-engineering understanding of an artifact... But I'm not looking up those rules.
It was probably a Combo using the Second Excellency and a lot of Craft Charms together. An experianced Solar is at the Peak of the 'Oh that is Bullshit' scale.(1)

(1) As invented by Dr. Liara T'soni.

Yeah, Solar Craftsmen have speed-boosting Charms to take care of that stuff.
Not to mention that Path most likely has a custom craft charm, a sort of Reverse Engineering Blueprint Making version of Craftsman Needs No Tools, which will let him do Essence x 3 speed boosts to, say, reverse engineer everything that Auto even has on him and then add it to his custom Royal Warstrider.

...

I am starting to wonder if it wouldn't be better for Auto to get "degraded" once more and into a mortal form..

..and then do some great heroism and get Exalted as a Twilight. He would become much mnore useful to the party.

Not gonna happen. Gods can't turn into mortals, much less humans.

Oh fie. All you have to do is tear out the emotion-y bits, glue them into a po, smash the thinky bits into a hun, staple it together and you've got a humanoid soul that can exalt!

/mad twilight caste.
There are "sane" twilight caste? :p

Autochthon would be insulted by the idea that becoming a human, who can use faith, dogma, and tools to create wondrous things and receive transcendent, transforming power by dint of their own ability to perform epic feats, was a downgrade.

o_O

I meant that I was unhappy it is not possible for him to become an Exalt-able Mortal.

The girl- who is less a girl and more a rather attractive woman with dark red hair- stands on a perch overlooking the workshop. Arms folded over the embroidered green tunic, she stands on one bare foot, her other curled behind her leg. Cocking an eyebrow, she centers blue eyes on the assistant to the Maker-

The demon, that is. The one whom her essence sight confirms is, yes, a Sidereal. Somehow. Quirking lips, she lists to the side and drops off the perch. Her hand shoots out with serpent-like speed, and she rotates around the perch before flying through the air.

Tucking her legs in, one full rotation, and she lands with supernal grace, standing, next to Kal'Reegar. "Don't worry if your big friend starts swearing. Path's been doing this for close to a century and twenty years."

Kal blinks. He works his jaw, staring at the woman. The apple shaped face, the partially unbuttoned tunic, the predatory smile. "Hi," he says, "Kal'Reegar. Migrant Fleet Marines. Chosen of Journeys."

She grins, her smile best described as 'cat like,' and 'I believe I may need an adult.' "Norrak. Twilight Caste." For effect, a half golden circle flares on her forehead. "Hey, Path! Gonna give the Vizier the tour!"

Path waves, bent over one of the Apparatae, taking it apart while Autochthon watches with flexing hands and high pitched squeaks. "Fine! Keep away from the southern border, though! That's the current war front!"

The girl stomps her foot down. The sectioned tile folds inwards, and Kal gives off a brief yelp before they drop down into the depths of the workshop.

By this rate Tali will need to Exalt too if she wants to keep Kal.

...

Tali, a Quarian, is in Creation/Malfeas..

..The Neverborn.

Oh dear.

This is gonna be good!
I think she wants now less "fight-y" and more "pants down-y".
