Question @Stewart92, will we be meeting other magic users from across the DCU at some point?
Y'know, Vincent and Constantine trading quips, Zatanna trying to flirt with Marcus, everybody trying not to piss off Swamp Thing, so on and so forth.

Many quests do cross paths with them. They may grant rewards, bonuses or at worst, decide your department is unneeded.

[X] Plan Wizards and Ghosts

Was there a point of reference on what the numbers mean? Like what does combat 9 equate to?

A 5 Combat Pyromancer was able to fill an alleyway with flames (it was only lightly scorched but it took no visible effort). As a 9 Combat Aeromamcer we could probably flip a moving, average sized, car over with a tiny bit of effort.

Plan: Play to Strengths

[X][Leadership] Vincent- The men and women of SOB are lacking a little...experience. Marcus would fix that. Time: 2 turn. Reward: All lieutenants gains +5 to their rolls for the next three turns. OIC gains +1 to leadership.

[X][Plotting] Patty- Send the OIC to wander the station. Collect information on which department is open to SOB and which is not. Time: 1 turn. Success: 60%. Reward: Information gained of the police station and SOB gains +5 to all plotting rolls to do with the GCPD.

[X][Admin] Luke- There is an odd number in the account of the department. The OIC might be able to figure out how some money isn't quite adding up. Time: 1 turn. Success: 80%. Reward: One money point added one!

[X][Learning] Nina-After the events of the Alley the OIC tries to expand the department's information on ghosts. Time: 1 Turn. Reward: +3 to ghost knowledge and the department gains + 2 to plotting when dealing with ghosts.

Optional: use 1/4 of a money point to buy the bar a round. increases chance to 80% State if you wish this or not. Spend Money

[X][Combat] Marcus-The OIC would investigate the apartment building that was suffering freak accidents. Time: 2 turns. Success: 30% Reward: +5 to ???, OIC gains + to combat and +1 to Plotting.

[X] [Personal] Find an assistant. Your time was valuable and having a person dedicated solely to managing your time and contacts would a great help. Time: 1 turn success: 70% Reward: An assistant who would offer one or two bonuses and grant 1 extra personal choice per turn.

everybody trying not to piss off Swamp Thing

Who is that?

Edit:

So basically, he could be causing hurricane-class winds if he put some effort into it?

9 is basically cut through thin metal and flip light cars.

30 would be "Cleaning the streets up with a tornado"

Using pyromancy as an example.

1: slightly move a candle flame and generate an ember
5: Fireballs and thin explosions
10: fine control and shapes
15: able to do some very cool things, like ride fire or even just move energy. Can't be hurt by fire with some effort
20: This is where magic begins to make you scary. Fire can burn metal, steam the rain just by being there, become fire itself
25: fire is just another you. The fire can be shaped, changed, purposed. Your fire burns the filth of this world
30: Your fire never fades. You can burn people with just a look. You will it and the fire will obey, none but the equal may usurp your control.

This guy

Basically he is the avatar of all the plant life on earth called the Green and gets pissed off when people start polluting the land, he has enough power to rival superman so pissing him off is not a smart idea.

Huh...

Even without knowing this guy, why would we go out of our way to pollute? And where would we even meet this guy anyway?

And from the description, he sounds like a more mature-oriented Captain Planet.

Well the Green is a force doesn't really care about humans or animals in general, that would be the red, so it's perfectly willing to kill all humans if it will protect the green, luckily Swamp Thing cares for life and doesn't want to destroy it.

So let's hope if we meet him he isn't pissed off

If we ever meet him and he Isn't in his home state? Shits probably already fucked and he's rampaging.

The dude is Perfectly happy to hide out in his swamp with his wife. The Only reason I think he ever leaves is to beat the shit out of whoever decides to become the Rot's new pawn, or if the Parliament of Owls orders him to go fuck someone up for doing something Incredibly egregious enough to offend the Green.

Or someone kidnaps his Waifu. Never touch swamp things Waifu, he will End your Laifu.

Is this the same woman who was avatar of the Rot or is it someone else, I'll admit I'm not an expert on Swamp Thing

-The mafia gangs were mostly stable. A cold war as it were. It would never last.

Why would the Dark Department care about this? Unless we're to get involved at some point.

[x][Leadership] Vincent - The department is a little drab. A chance to make a better-looking place would really improve the mood. Cost 1 Money token. Success: 80%. Reward: +2 morale and Department gains +2 Diplomacy to rolls made inside the station. Morale bonus lasts 2 turns.
[x][Plotting] Patricia - Send a member to investigate the murder scene. Someone saw something and they would not hide it for someone who wasn't going to dismiss magic. Time: 2 turns. Success: 70 Reward: 1 value, +1 to plotting for the OIC

[x][Learning] Nina - The OIC would learn about SOB's assets. What could one type of magic do that other could not? They'd best start with their own. Time: 1 turn. Success: 70%. Reward: Magic users unlock another use of their magic. Condition: Must have magic to use this.
[x][Diplomacy] Nina - The OIC would inspire all SOBs to work a little better. Time: 1 turn. Success: 80%. Reward: +3 Morale. +2 to all rolls for next two turns.
[x][Combat] Marcus - The OIC would investigate the apartment building that was suffering freak accidents. Time: 2 turns. Success: 30% Reward: +5 to ???, OIC gains + to combat and +1 to Plotting.

He has a wife? How did that happen?

Long story short, it was part of the Alan Moore's arc which made this character fun to read. There was a married guy whose wife pretty much ignored him, and she knew about the person the Swamp Thing once was. After the husband is eventually killed, she doesn't hesitate to cuck him by somehow fucking the humanoid plant, or perhaps she did even before the husband was killed. Moreover, said husband did nothing wrong, yet no-one cried for his death, seeing that he was a drunkard (perhaps because the aforementioned wife ignored him) for... Reasons.

I don't remember the specific details though.
