I'm having some trouble deciding. I don't know how much time and focus either project will take, but I think that while the dimensional anchor may be more important, it's probably also less immediately useful.
 
If we bring an egg home, we better be 100% sure that our wards will keep Mama out if she tracks us back. The Idol can take her in a fight easy, Annie who the Idol is starting to make plans for would have trouble with the Mantis playing around. The Mantis wanting the killer/kidnapper of her children dead? Yeah we do have a fragile asset that we'd like to keep.

Keep in mind we won't get this right now, these are both by definition projects we won't get see the fruits of for a while.

Besides, we're about to give her a shotgun. That means she'll already be fairly well protected.

I am totally for making Annie more useful, and you can never have too many reagents.

We should give our devoted servant something worth having. Banishment seems like something incredibly difficult to perform on us. Like a season finale tier spectacle. And that would probably only come from someone as or greater than Buffy. And we have yet to do anything to her or equivalent knowledge that we're, well not a good being.

In true anime standard, we must arm our waifu with mystical relics that let her fight beside us! Buffy is anime at the best of times, so my logic is flawless!
