Except 'bigger' meaning... Just pointing out, the GM has said one thing, namely Canada sits at T3 due to population, and you're arguing something completely different. Importance is a debatable quality as well all things considered, as power in a commodities race is GDP or GDP per capita with population not really playing a factor.

Just go with it.

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to argue here. Howizter was asking about the effect of population on Ambrosia & tiers. GM said that tiers were "A combination of population, size, and economy," and countries with more of these factors would naturally be more influential / important. A larger population provided the influence to have ambrosia production before other countries, or on a larger scale, but was obviously not the only factor, and the OP implies that it would have less importance going forwards, as everyone has the same Ambrosia-per-turn.
This doesn't appear to be a commodities race as much as it was an R&D race, with the technology only recently discovered and refined. GDP obviously plays a role in this (See the "economy" part of the GM's tier description), but it is not the only factor.

    Basically that Howizter was barking up the wrong tree, but you're applying significance that isn't there to what's ultimately a GM fiat decision. There doesn't have to be underlying logic to it, it just is.

    Following the toppling of the Mosaddegh government during CIA-led Operation Ajax, Mohammad Reza Shah on recommendation by his US military and intelligence advisers ordered the formation of a domestic intelligence service to protect Iran from foreign and (more importantly) domestic enemies. The newly founded Organisation of Intelligence and National Security (SAVAK) immediately took an interest in the research into super human abilities, quickly monopolizing research and ambrosia stockpiles within Iran and consolidating within the enigmatic Simurgh Division of SAVAK.

    Project šir-e sefid [White Lion] was Simurgh's first attempt at creating a domestic super human. Little is known about the selection process that lead to Rasheed Satrapi becoming chosen for the project, but rumours soon began to run wild in the iranian (and american) inner circles that the enigmatic Ernest Perron, close personal friend and assistant to the Shah himself played a pivotal part in it.

    Reportedly, the project leaders at SAVAK were disappointed with the results of this first test: The you Mr. Satrapi, while in peak physical condition prior to the test, didn't show any signs of superhuman abilities at first. It took a few days for him to figure out the extent of the change brought on by the ambrosia. His intellect had begun to expand. His thoughts were racing, he was learning new things at an ever increasing pace and his ability to analyse even complex data soon eclipsed even the mightiest of electronic computers. SAVAK once more took an interest into White Lion and pondered how to best use this new asset in the still evolving organisation. As the ambrosia continued to reveal the hidden potential of Rasheed Satrapi, he was given a position close to the Shah and the intelligence branch, that was still unimportant enough to keep him out of the spot light.

    White Lion has yet to see action, though he has reportedly been working with the analytic divisions of SAVAK and CIA as an advisor.

    Public persona:

    Officially, neither Simurgh nor White Lion do exist. He holds a position as adjutant to the Shah and member of Ernest Perron's personal retinue. As far as the public is concerned, Rasheed Satrapi is nearly unknown and White Lion little more than a rumour..

    Bio: Adva Abramson was born to a Jewish family that lived in Germany in the days prior to the rise of Adolf Hitler. With Hitler's rise to power, the family was quick to find their way out of the country and made their way to the US, where they lived until the establishment of the new Jewish state of Israel. Recognizing the history of her people, what had recently happened with the Nazis, and the perilous state her new country was in, Adva made every effort to become a full member of the Israel Defense Forces when she was old enough.

    Recognizing her skills and her devotion to her country, Adva was recruited as part of Israel's new covert Ambrosia Superhuman Program (ASP) to serve as potentially one of the countries first new Superhumans, and subsequently proved to be its first success, displaying both the ability to predict the future and influence the probability of such. From there, she was reassigned to a special newly founded joint Mossad-IDF unit, including a Special-Ops Covert combat team known as "Judge Team Alpha". As part of this unit, Adva - known officially as "Agent Debora" and more affectionately as 'The Prophet' - serves as kind of supernatural warning and deterrent system against threats to the country, with the aid of some of Israel's most elite - if 'merely' human - combat forces.

    Public Persona: Officially, Israel refuses to acknowledge that the Superhuman known as "Agent Debora", or "The Prophet", even exists. However, given that the existence of Israel's ASP is among the worst kept secrets in the world, while the country is busy denying The Prophet's existence with one hand, they'll be using the other to covertly feed misinformation about her. This has ultimately created a mysterious cloak and dagger persona about her and the team she works with, one that Israel has attempted to channel into a source of fear towards its enemies and a 'cool', 'badass' factor for its citizens and allies.
