Yes, but it's worth noting that Alter Size is a subcategory rather than a power in and of itself. Still, you could absolutely go with that, and then take the two size alterations next year.

But WWII is rather weird given that special forces were kind of still coming into their own so you'd have them doing the jumping out of planes, sneaking about in the dead of night, disapearing fuck knows where for days and causing mayhem whilst also doing more conventional stuff where needed. There were whole divisions of commandos fighting for the UK sometimes as specialists in small units other times as basically just a very well trained division.
Also most nations had their own elite units for each branch of the military and the recon components and HQ guards of regular regiments and above also on occasion were used for special missions.
Basically you can plausibly draw your pool of recruits from just about the entire armed forces if you're so inclined. Allows for a more varied experience.
