Who is going to be rolling that DC 25 Diplomacy check, y'all? Kori? He has no ranks in the skill. That's a hard check for Sirim to make, not that Prisca knows he is anything more than a Familiar.
[X] Straight Deal
-[X] 75/25 for us in total monetary value after we ordered and identified everything (including the Razmiran Priest's loot), Leontas and Urgor get a part of our share, so Pisca doesn't have to worry about that.
-[X] First pick in magic items goes to us
-[X] The ship with its weird engine is not counted into that until we get a chance to sell it together, on that we make 50/50 because his presence will be important for the successful sale.
@DragonParadox
Does that look like something he could accept?
No gambling, neither abstractly by hoping the captain or elf have the better loot, nor directly for the Alchemist's loot.
Just good money that he really needs, guaranteed, even if we have to sell off every item we don't need for ourselves together in the next town.

I really like this vote, Artimus
It has first pick, and I'm fine with the ship being split 50/50, since it might blow up/be worthless. There's a gamble if Pisca wants one
We (well, Pisca) can sincerely argue to the River Guard bosses who are going to want to claim the ship that it would have been blown up/worthless without us poking it with (buffed and re-rerolled) skill checks (with the Suggested helpful advice from the captain given beforehand), and thus they should pay him.
Edit: For a big negotiation like this, I am once again asking for Mina to be on-hand to give a sneaky little fortune re-roll if the person speaking hasn't used one already today .
[X] Insist with Good Arguments
-[X] Your concern for us honors you, but we are used to danger.
-[X] It is true, if we take most of the loot, we should take also most of the risk. We will interrogate the captain about the ship and make sure it is safe. We have excellent engineers among us.

For a moment you consider a gamble, but if you are to form a lasting understanding perhaps tis better to call upon his better nature rather than his words, with just a touch of trickery of course. With a frown, as though deep in thought you answer after a moment: "The game seems more trouble than it's worth to pay."
"Game?" The knight, not yet insulted, only confused.
"Working out who can take from what body sight unseen, counting blows and claiming kills. Perhaps the markets of Cassomir are not so great as those of Augustana..."
"Augustana was a lumber man's at the edge of the sea when the the walls of Cassomir had withstood pirates, sea beasts and the Ghost Fleet of Geb!" Sir Pisca's words hold less of personal offense and more of loyalty to hearth and history, easily turned with a pivot of the tongue.
"Beg pardon, I know nothing of the history of the upper lands, but what I have been told and all of that has been in Andoran, unless you count Chelish thugs screaming at us to die across a swamp."
"If those are the options..." he huffs and shakes his head. "I must reluctantly admit that better the rebels with their head full of lint than those with their hearts sworn to Hell, still better to get your history at the source and who has made more history than Imperial Taldor?"
With a humble nod you return to the matter at hand refreshed: "All the better then, we are sure to find a buyer for everything and then split the gold, three parts for us and one for you."
You can almost see him work out the calculations in his head, the knight is far from a stupid man if perhaps unwise. Less of a payout than he proposed, but only by a little and that assumes the elf's treasure was of equal worth to the others. It might be more, it might be less, it might be better to just take the money on the table.
"You drive a hard bargain Honorable Seer," he half-crumbles extending his hand for what you gather is the traditional Taldan shake, all the better to ensure neither party has any blades up their sleeves. From Gorok's look you guess he's thinking the same thing: 'That was a hard bargain? Still the real profit's in not burning goodwill. One can only tickle someone's spine with a knife once, harder to pull the memory of it out of their head.
The remains of elf and dwarf certainly tell a strange tale. The first is armed with True Silver and armored in living thorns as tale holds the Marchguard of the guarded elven realm of Kyonin are, though it's a fair way up the rivver to there and no one has ever heard of one of those turning traitor, much less pirate. Were the elves behind the piracy and the theft of the dwarvish gems? According to Sirim at least the two realms had little enough in common with the long and troubled hisotry of the Sky Citadels having taken place mostly during ages long Exile of the Elves. One might perhaps have hoped to question the dwarf among the pirate crew, though given the state of his belongings perhaps sanity was not his straong suit. It is rarely a good sign when Sirim finds something fascinating enough to fall entirely silent just as he was settling into a groove on the history of the elves and their gods, their relationship with the surrounding human realms.
"Those I think are Numerian extracts, the sorts that are not distilled but collected from the vecinity of the Silver Mountain and other ruins, they might give you wings, wisdom, the eyes of a dragon and life everlasting."
"Or...?" you ask, recognizing the tone as one building up to some darker revelation.
"Or it might melt the flesh from your bones and a great many intriguing things in between..."
"I don't think we will be able to sell that and share the proceeds," Sir Pisca interjects. "There are standards."
"Sounds like something we should be pouring overboard," Mina says, a voice of reason little heeded.
"What? No!" The knight looks at her like she had proposed dropping a sack of gold over the side. "Don't you see Desna herself gave us this chance. A test of sorcerous wit that you have passed dear lady and then one of courage."
"Most of the effects are reversible," from the feel of his mind you suspect Sirim is wholly in agreement with letting someone else try them so he can document the said arcane results.
You are almost afraid to look at Cob... yep, he's game.
Mechamics: Sirim Knowledge History (DC 25/30/35/40): 1d20+12+3 (Heroism and Guidance)+1d6 (Mythic Surge) = 40 (Full Success)
Tyloise -First Mate-
Armor of the Kyonin Marchguard Description: Wrapped in living vines seemingly designed to pierce foes who come to close with its spikes this armor has one more secret to it, each bud hides an eye of bright gold within
Abilities:: +1 SensingRosewood Armor
Amulet of Survival Description: Bearing the arched lettering of Varisian script this amulet forged into the likeness of an owl is no ancient heirloom or precious plunder. Odds are good it was simply forged by some middling enchanter up north towards the river Kingdoms Abilities:
Crazy Eyes -Alchemist/Enginner- Engineer's Leathers
Descriptions: These garments appear to be more buckle and pouches than armor all of it stained with strange fluids and oils that react unpredictably to the most mundane of conditions. They might catch fire when set to dry on a sunny deck or sprout a coating of golden scales when exposed to salt water, less a work of enchantment and more wild magic soaked all the way though
Abilities:
+1 Studded Leather Armor
1/day when exposed to dangerous environmental conditions the user will benefit from an alchemist spell of levels 0-2 that ameliorates or negates the contrition. An alchemist may give up the use of a prepared formula of level 2+, pouring the contents onto the armor to recharge the ability. Each time this is done in the span of a day there is cumulative +20% chance of a wild magic surge
Documents
Stained and... furry formula book, no one can tell why it's grown a coat of fur, but it is apparently most similar to bear's pelt.
What do you do?
[] Let the sampling go ahead, Cob and Pisca try the fluids
[] Convince Cob that it's not worth it. Pisca drinks both shots (Due to agreeing to let him experiment with the Altar of Mindfire this is an Automatic Success)
[] Claim the fluids for future study (Assessed at 1000 gp by eye and guesswork they come out of your share).
[] Write in
OOC: XP will be best update since this was starting to get rather large.
I want no part of Cob drinking that shit. Numerian Fluids are bad news, y'all. Sure, most of the effects are temporary or reversible, but not all of them, and IIRC at least a couple of possibilities are outright fatal. The good permanent results can be pretty damned good, but they're also very rare.
Yeah, just checked. 1% chance of a good permanent effect.
At 1000 gold in value per dose, I would rather let Prisca have both and count them against his share of the treasure.
[X] It's too dangerous. Convince Cob that it's not worth it. If Sir Prisca is willing to risk the side-effects, he is welcome to both doses of Numerian fluids.
-[X] We do ask, however, that he refrain from sampling the fluid until our business with him has concluded and we have gone our separate ways. We will even give him our dose free of charge as a parting gift.
Some pretty nice loot on the Dwarf and Elf. The Elf's armor is very interesting. It would technically be a downgrade for Cob, since its AC bonus is one point lower, but the Sensing ability on the Elf's armor is really great.
Cob being able to operate freely in a Deeper Darkness spell would be freaking terrifying. Unfortunately, that armor has a sell value of about 8,000 gold. If we want to hold onto it, it will probably be a significant portion of our overall loot. I guess it depends on what else we find on the ship, the value of the ship itself, and the captain's loot. Oh yeah, can't forget about possible bounties on the pirates.
The amulet is nice and would be a good fit for Gorok.
What about the captian's stuff, @DragonParadox? Left off by mistake or just rolled over to next chapter?

-[X] We do ask, however, that he refrain from sampling the fluid until our business with him has concluded and we have gone our separate ways.
Oh. Wow. Yeah.
The chances of that being worthwhile are slim to none. 100% against.
(If he were our friend and not our in-debt travel pass, I think it'd be cool to see if we could spellcraft/arcana some sort of magic circle thingy that allows someone to do the alchemy check to see what a dose does quickly and with much better odds than 75% being accurate, and then just rolling the gacha until we hit 100.)
Can you make your request into something a bit stronger though? This guys a bit of a gambling addict imo and a request is a bit gentle for my liking.
Something like; "no, seriously. This can go very wrong and we want to be far away from the possibility of any blowback. Using this - even if you don't die - before we part ways will be grounds for a renegotiation of our agreed deals."
Theoretically, what could be done with it, is both could be given to a professional alchemist who would test it for a desirable effect every hour or so. One could just "take 100" (that is, wait until the check shows 100 on the results table), and we'd have a 75% chance of it to turn right. That's a significantly better chance of getting something useful out of it, though I imagine also quite expensive. Cob has Alchemy at 11; we might buff it all the way to pass those kinds of checks automatically.
...that is, if the number the check shows is random. A QM can rule out that a 25% chance to misadentify the effect is what shows a result of 100. That would be... less than ideal.
Hm. One can supplement the check with a divination?
Please remind me what effects +CON items in Pathfinder have on characters, besides Fortitude saves and certain skill checks.
For that record, does a +2 CHA from Kori's headband help him learn more spells through Dark Secrets?

Good point. I'm gonna a update my plan to more strongly recommend that he delay trying the fluids. I'll even incentivize him by letting him have our dose for free if he waits.
