[M1W1] Awakened
...should thank me, witch. Now there's no chance...

...

You slowly claw your way back to consciousness. It's a slow, unpleasant process. The mess of aches and pains that is your back and neck remind you that stone platforms make for awful beds. You slither off the altar, landing in a heap on the floor. You just lie there for a bit, unable to motivate your limbs to prop you into a sitting position.

A low growl sets you on edge. The dungeon should still be sealed. It sounds like it's coming from-oh right.

You are really, really hungry.

Finally, you manage to push yourself off the ground, stumbling towards the bag that contains all your worldly posessions.

Inside, you find the following:

Your Official Witch's Wand ("But it's just a stick!" "Of course it is! You spent the last five years learning magic unaided. What would need an aid for?")
Two mostly depleted mana crystals
Three gold crowns, eight silver coins of various denominations and a single dubloon that'll probably only be accepted at weight locally.
A pre-packed sandwich Nevermind
A spare set of clothes

Your lack of supplies is distressing. And also depressing. The sandwich will likely keep you going till lunch (whenever that might be), so you probably need to find some kind of food source.

Now, how are you going to go about that?

You remember that most well established dungeons have their own food supplies. While some use farms or keep livestock, the most common story you've heard is of some mystical device that can convert aether into any kind of food imaginable. You have no clue how to go about making one of these devices, so that's basically out of the question.

Beyond that, it's well known that amateur dungeon masters often send raiding parties to hit local towns.

...

Three golems (at most) and a scrawny girl with minimal battle experience does not a raiding party make.

So, how are you going to do this?

CHOOSE ONE

[] You're basically out in the wilderness, so there's probably some kind of game out there. You've never hunted before, but it can't be that hard.
[] There's a couple of farms in the vicinity. Farms have food on them, right? You can spend a couple of coins there and it'll probably tide you over for a week.
[] There's a town an hour's walk away. You might look a bit weird, but if you pass yourself off as an adventurer, they probably won't question it.
[] You can't really afford to buy food...Without a five fingered discount.

Hunting is hard. Best use coin and make gruel that'll last some time.

Or ask for some seed and see what happen if you add mana to it in the dungeon

I think it'd be funny if our Dungeon was both that and a grocery store/farm.

Kill the adventurers, take their loot, sell it on the fence.

Dungeon masters pretending to not be dungeon masters is always a fun time. We're going to get quite comfortable with this town.

Can we knock there with Golems?

Stealing would be a start to our evil spree of evil, but honestly. Stealing for bread's a poor start.
Besides, putting money into the farms now wouldn't hurt; we can always have minions (we'll get minions eventually, right? Yeah! We're an evil boss!) go and raid the farms later.
Like the saying goes: Kill a man and take his fish, you have fish for a day. Beat and threaten a man to fish and you can take his fish every day for the rest of his life.

[M1W1] Meeting the Neighbours
Your knowledge of the local area is vague at best. You're pretty sure the farms are south-ish, so you open an entrance to the dungeon as far in that direction as you feel comfortable. You gently slope the tunnel upwards, collapsing the wall behind you. As you travel further and further out, your mental picture of the dungeon begins to blur, but you can still feel it's weight upon your spatial awareness. Which is a good thing, since you're pretty sure it's the only reason you're keeping yourself on track.

You're thankful that digging requires next to no effort on your part; your mana reserves still aren't entirely recovered from the endeavours of the past week.

Mana Reserve
2/8 MP

Normally, you would recover 6 MP per day, but your sleeping conditions were not conducive to a good night's sleep.

You surface in what appears to be light woodland. Covering the turned earth with a completely inconspicuous boulder ("But where did it come fr-" "COMPLETELY INCONSPICUOUS."), you begin your journey south.

The journey is...

CHOOSE ONE

[] Peaceful. (+2 MP Recovered)
[] Auspicious (Creature Encounter)
[] Irritating. (Hostile Encounter)
[] Eventful. (EVENT)
