They are indeed earned

Getting wrecked one-sidedly by Satsuki does not qualify you for them, unfortunately

Come to think of it dis Rin even have the authority to sell that mountain? Because as far as I know being the Second Owner only give her the authority to administrate the supernatural happenings within the city.
All will be revealed

Theory Time! We did not sell the Mountain Enzo. We actually did one of the following: We sold our position as Second Owner of Fuyuki or we sold the leylines that powered the Holy Grail.

Edit: Did we actually own Mount Enzo?

[X] Inform Kirei. You just sold Mt. Enzou, as your Guardian and ostensible manager of your estates, this is the kind of thing that you should tell him.

Shelving her confusion for the moment, the young Tohsaka Heir deposited the envelope into a place where it would hopefully remain secure. The lining of her skirt.

Truly, Rin was ever an shining example of thinking ahead.

Taking a moment to inhale several deep breaths of the smell of wealth, the girl paced around her newfound riches energetically, determining her next course of action. The idea of visiting the Matou residence was considered, but instantly discarded. Zouken was a disgusting creature of the highest order, and it was not as if there were any other individuals at the house worth noting.

So, too, was discarded the idea of visiting Ryuudou Temple and informing it's inhabitants of their change of circumstances. This, while seemingly petty, was entirely understandable. As individuals who had shunned The Lord and his guidance, whatever misfortune they had invited upon themselves in turning away from his love was entirely their own fault. Indeed, Rin truly was blameless for whatever misfortune may befall them.

With a final act of will, the young magus quelled even her colossal avarice, and decided to inform her beloved guardian of the new mess of official documentation he would soon have to go to the effort of filling out. To be forewarned was to be forearmed, and Kotomine Kirei was a man of God who had stood with the young girl in her darkest moments.

Such loyalty should only be repaid in kind, after all.

Realizing that informing her ever thoughtful mentor of this latest turn of events would lead to him taking the initiative and asking…necessary questions, Rin simply locked up her home and marched towards the Kotomine Church. While it would be an incredibly long walk for an individual of lesser standing, the Tohsaka Heir was more than capable of making the two hour long trip without any effort, surely.

As she neared the house of the lord, it's lights blazing brightly even in the night, Rin grit her teeth and approached it's entrance. After staring at the well-maintained wooden entrance to the building, she swung open it's doors and walked into it's spacious chapel.

"Kotomine! I knew you're in there!" The precocious child called out, and so as was the necessary duty as the shephard of this flock, one Kotomine Kirei slowly walked out from the church's rear to greet his student and ward. He stood tall, as Rin had known of him. His arms held comfortably behind his back. His priest's outfit neat and clean, as if having been preparing for a sermon that was soon to start. Ironic, that.

[KOTOMINE KIREI]

[MAGNIFICENT BASTARD]

[PUNCH-PRIEST]

"Rin." The man said, his voice filled with all the affection he felt towards her, "It is rare for you to come by on your own, and unannounced at that." He quirked a large eyebrow in curiosity, "Have you come to take initiative in your training? If so, then I regret that I am currently in the middle of preparing supper." Turning slightly, the man used one hand to gesture invitingly to the back, "Unless you would care to join me?"

Rin shuddered at the mention of dinner, perhaps as a result of having walked in the night air. Truly, she should wear more suitable clothing for the weather. It would reflect poorly on a man a man of God were his charge to catch a chill as a result of visiting him. Such a turn of events would truly be regrettable.

"No, I don't want any of your disgusting spicey foods," How very rude, "I'm here because I just got a visit from someone named Kiryuin Satsuki."

"Hmm," The priest nodded, "I had indeed received word of her arrival through my connections with the local government. They said she had come looking for the largest property owner in the city before departing with her entourage."

Rin's eyebrow twitched, a worrying sign, "And you didn't think to tell me this?!"

Kirei shrugged, "I had not considered that the girl would think to go to your home so soon after inquiring after you. One would think an appointment of some kind would have been made first."

"Yeah, well, she was a bit more impatient than you thought." Rin retorted, tossing her hair over her shoulder in annoyance, "Practically dragged her personal army with her in front of the house and forced her way in.

"How uncouth," The priest replied, "And what was her purpose?"

"Property purchasing," Rin answered absently.

"Oh ho, perhaps the Kiryuin's had heard of the Holy Grail War? Young Miss Satsuki is about the right age to be able to participate in the next one, provided the Grail chooses her as a Master." Kirei mused thoughtfully.

"Yeah, it'd explain why she bought Mt. Enzo, really." Rin replied, having not considered that particular possibility.

"What."

Rin blinked, "Yeah, she wanted Mt. Enzo."

Kirei paused, looking Rin directly in the eye, "And you…sold the mountain to her?"

Rin paused at this sudden change in attitude, "Yeah…why? Only ones affected are those monk guys, right?"

Her ever-faithful guardian paused, "Rin, you are aware of the Mountain's significance in the Grail Wars, correct?"

Rin simply flipped her hair in response, "Of course, Kirei. Ryuudou Temple has that natural anti-spiritual defense that makes it a great spot to occupy for a Master and Servant, right?"

"No," Kirei responded seriously, "Mt. Enzo is where the Greater Grail system is located. Buried deeply within it's caverns."

Rin's eyes bulged with an audible crack, "Oh."

"We must move quickly," Kirei replied, his voice coming in hurried rush, "Rin, we must contact the Kiryuin's quickly and reverse this-!" Whatever the priest was going to say next was cut off as a loud rumbling sound echoed through the air, and the earth shook as if from an earthquake. Kirei stumbled, catching himself and regaining his balance.

"Rin, quickly. Get a hold of the local authorities so that I can…!!!"

Kirei glanced up and took in his surroundings, as befitted a man of experience in combat. However…what the former Executor saw outside the window caused even his world-wizened eyes to widen in shock, words failing him as his mouth fell agape.

I'm getting the feeling that Satsuki just blew up the top of the mountain to make room for her school.

[X] Look outside

Let me guess: Little Satsuki has already build her castle, hasn't she?

Either way, she has made Kirei speechless. That's a bonus point in my books.

[X] Decide to keep the money
-[X] You just know that Satsuki had something to do with that explosion. Between that and your ... personal encounter with her, there is no way you are getting your mountain back. Not as you are now anyway.

[X] Look outside
-[X] Also, keep
the money. After all you earned it fair and square through dubious means by selling property that maybe or may not have actually been yours, and it's not your fault if that Satsuki girl decided to hand over billions of yen before verifying whether you actually had the authority to do so.
--[X] Begin considering whether or not Satsuki would be interested in buying the Fuyuki City Bridge, it should go nicely with whatever she has planned for that mountain.

[X] Tell Kirei to get his contacts to deal with it.
Because I don't like Satsuki. At all really. So I wanna sic Gilgamesh on her.

Oh god, now I want to see a Satsuki-Gilgamesh Team Up.

Even though she's more of a Iskander-style King, think of all the sparkly goodness that would come from it!
