Fate Grand Elysium (A Fate grand order X Disco Elysium Quest)

Prologue: Collect a Companion
You recreate the room within your minds eye, your brain working overtime to try and see what the bombs did the Least damage to, and which Coffins suffered the least.

Visual Calculus (Heroic: Success!): Here we go, the reconstruction of the room based on our one time in here. Better than expected.

You see it, the layer of blue overlaying the destroyed Room, a perfect reconstruction of it all.

Ritsuka: what are my options? And please keep them close to mash for time constraints.

Visual Calculus: least damaged coffins near Mash....

Visual Calculus: I've narrowed it down to four, no Six Options. Weirdly enough two from A Team, and the rest from coffins that just happened to be nearby. You'll have to move quick through, there's no telling what'll happen once the Rayshift occurs while their in the coffin.

Choose a companion: (A companion is well, a fellow master, someone more or less on your level that is relatively more knowledgeable than you in some aspect of the moonlit world. They unlock extra choices/scenes based on their personality and past, and each has access to a predetermined personal Servant)

[] Kadoc Zemplus (This Coffin is one of the furthest away from Team A, and consequently one of the least damaged, at least in comparison with the rest of them.)

[] Ophelia Phamrsolone (you'll be honest you have no idea how to pronounce the last name inscribed onto the coffin, but that doesn't matter. What does is the fact that you could've sworn you've seen a flash of red emanate from inside of it...and the lid of this one seems...easier to open than the rest. A strange hunch of yours.)

[] Samuel Peligor (...wait Peligor as in a family member of the owner of Peligor Corp? The guy who owns the company your tech is from? What the heck is one of them doing here? Well regardless he's good enough for C Team so clearly there's something going on with that family, and is close enough to help.)

[] Lucas Thompson (A fellow low teamer, a part of Team F, 2 levels above you and the other five Reserve Team Masters and considering Teams and their compositions are, and this what you are assuming anyways, based on general experience with magecraft you can only assume that he knows only a bit more than you, still he's close and help is help.)

[] Richard Goodfellow (That last name feels like a placeholder but you aren't questioning it, he's a part of Team D so...your assuming fairly powerful, or experienced.)

[] Howard Norwich (The Coffin seems to be...dented from the inside, and he's supposed to be in B-Team, so he has to be strong right?!)

So, Fun fact, I already have the end of the prologue written up, All I have to do is well account for the added Early companion. Not so fun fact, I am a FGO player and that's about as deep as I am in the Fate rabbit hole, so I distributed out the selection evenly, 2 OC's of my own make (Well, One of them is adopted by an already existing character i found on the Magus page of the Fate/Type Moon Wiki) 2 OC's based on pre-existing magus families that shouldn't be too broken, and finally two Magus from A team. it took awhile to think of the OC's and how to get them all to fit, but I think I can take the story in an interesting direction with any one of these characters.

Prologue End: Now Arriving, Hell.
Your attention is drawn to the Coffin that flashed Red.

Inland Empire (Easy: Success): That one, we have to do that one

Ritsuka: You sure?

Inland Empire: trust me.

You look toward mash, and then back to the coffin and nod, approaching it and looking at the name and team ranking inscribed onto it. Ophelia Phamrsolone

Encyclopedia (Formidable: failure): That doesn't like any last name we've came across, I'll mark it down as something to ask about later, how to pronounce it I mean.

Placing your hands on the lid to the coffin, you slide the door open.

Interfacing (medium: success): Though it's damaged, the emergency opening mechanism was still functional, Good for us.

As you peer inside the opened coffin, you notice that master in it is a girl with an eyepatch, and long brown hair.

Reaction Speed (medium: success): She was fiddling with her Eyepatch. Odd, maybe a nervous reaction?

Ritsuka: Can't blame her for that. does she look okay?

Perception: She seems to be fine, at least from a cursory observation.

You lend her a hand out of the coffin, and speak up.

Ritsuka: "Excuse me, but I need your help, Mash is trapped Under a pillar and is bleeding profusely and if your in good enough shape to help i would appreciate it if you did so."

She seems naturally taken aback by this, being saved only to be asked to save another before something about you said caught her off guard.

Empathy (Medium: Success): She knows and cares for Mash.

Ophelia: "Mash is what? Take me to her."

You nod and lead her towards mash, Mash seems surprised to see the two of you.

Mash: "Senpai?!"

Ritsuka: "Maybe i can't help you alone, but i brought help."

Ophelia: "I...I'll do my best."

She does something and suddenly you feel...different.

Physical Instrument (medium: Success): Ha! Whatever she just did has got our Limbs overflowing with power! I feel like I can help you lift or Punch Anything!

Endurance (Medium: failure): Unfortunately whatever she did didn't seem to work on the rest of your physical attributes, just strength.

Ritsuka: "What was that you just did?"

Ophelia: I used a Preloaded Spell from my Mystic Code on us, it should help move that pillar."

You and Ophelia work together to try and free mash from the pillar, however even with this strength boost, the two of you can't fully lift the pillar, But you can prop it up enough for you to slide the Fire Extinguisher underneath it so mash can at least get some wriggle room. She seems to appreciate that. and then something in the air...shifts.

Half Light (Medium: Failure): We don't know how bad this shift is, it could be an indication of the wall just as much as it could be something else.

The three of you look towards the Globe, as if on instinct. what you see is worse than an inactive Chaldeas, it is the color of flame...and considering it's supposed to provide the Near-Future observational Lens data..

Visual Calculus (Easy: Success): Something is about to go horribly wrong with the planet.

Mash: "Ah.."

Rayshift PA: "Warning all Observation Staff, Chaldeas state has changed. Now Rewriting Sheba's Near future predictions......"

After a poignant pause it would get back to you with results...and a small indication that it's not just a PA system. Rudimentary AI, like whatever ran the simulation perhaps?

Rayshift PA: "Unable to detect the presence of mankind 100 years into the future. Unable to confirm Human survivors, unable to guarantee mankind's future."

Mash: "Chaldeas has turned bright red....No, nevermind..That."

PA System: "Central Area Sealed, 180 seconds until Internal Containment procedure."

Mash: "They...shut off the area. Now we can't get out."

Ritsuka: "We'll figure it out, we have to."

Ophelia: "Are...Are you certain that we can?"

Ritsuka: "I don't want to think of what would happen if we can't."

Rayshift PA: "Coffin Vitals Masters. Baseline N-Not Reached"

The PA for the Rayshift glitched out a bit there, as If it couldn't actually read into the vital of the coffins it was connected to.

Ophelia: "...does that mean the others are..."

Her gazes wanders to the Coffin at the center of A Team, presumably to the leader.

Rayshift PA: Rayshift Requirement not met, Searching for qualifying masters. Found. Candidate No. 48, Ritsuka Reset as master. Candidate No. 5, Ophelia Phamrsolone Parameters acceptable. Unsummon program Start. Spiritron Conversion, Start.

Mash: "Uhm...Ritsuka Senpai...would you mind...holding my hand?"

You nod and gently take her hand in your as the process counts down. Ophelia seems to be distracted by her own thoughts towards the leader to notice.

Rayshift PA: Rayshift starting in 3....2....1. All procedures Clear. first Order Commencing Operation."

and like that you feel something, a familiar yet so, very different feeling wash over as everything goes black.

Darkness. An inky blank tapestry of nothing stands before you.

No wait. Your eyes are closed. Still, that doesn't subtract from the feeling of familiarity from this. Being put to sleep and ending up in strange dreams that grab you and suck you in. is that what a Rayshift is, or is it just a similar concept?

Perception (Easy Success): There's a familiar smell, the smell of something burning, as well as the faint sounds of flame. Did we even leave?

Perception (Medium: Success): At the very least you can confirm that what your lying on isn't the ruins of the command room you were just in, so you know that much.

???: "Kyuu, kyuu, Fou. Fou...Fou.."

Ritsuka: Did...Did Fou just lick my cheek?

Perception: It certainly feels like it. So we aren't as alone as we feared.

???: "Senpai. Please Wake up, Senpai."

Volition (Challenging: failure): You don't want to open your eyes. You don't want to see where you re right now. and I can't blame you. None of us were prepared for today.

Mash: "Won't wake up. Maybe I should use the official title....Master. Master, Please wake up. If you don't wake up, I'll kill you."

Half Light (Medium: Success): In a very rare moment of survival instinct You decide that it would be unpleasant to be killed by the first friend you've made here. a move which I personally applaud, and open your eyes.

Perception (trivial: success): Only to end up wishing we had kept them closed, our surroundings have morphed from a sabotaged Chaldea and into an apocalyptic City state of being.

Encyclopedia (medium: Success): Is...is this Fuyuki? what happened here?

Logic (Easy: Success): Nothing good. Clearly.

Mash seems to notice your shift in behavior.

Mash: "Thank goodness your awake now Senpai! I'm so glad your safe."

Ritsuka: "You're awfully glad I'm alright for someone who said they'd kill me."

Mash: "That came out wrong. What I meant to say is 'you're going to be killed.' Um, I was confused because everything happened so quickly."

Drama (Easy: Success): She's not lying Sire. in fact she seems remarkably bad at it.

Mash: "As much as I want to gather our thoughts please look around you."

Upon a Second inspection you notice that Ophelia is fighting alongside...what seems to be a living shadow against a....you rub your eyes and look again

Perception (medium: Success): No I am not deceiving you, that is a Skeleton.

The skeleton then sees you and sensing that you are weaker than the girl, let's out a shriek and charges at you.

Half Light (medium: failure): Instead of Flight, you freeze up at the sight, frozen in fear, or perhaps incredulity as the Skeleton charges at you. Not the best move.

Luckily Mash steps in front of you. ready to protect you with her...Big ass shield. When did she get that?! On another note, why is she in a metallic Minidress?

Electro chemistry: well it's not a...bad look for her.

Volition: Not the time!

Mash: "Communication Impossible. Identifying life Form as Hostile. Master your orders, please. I want you and I to overcome this together!"

Choose your battle strategy: (This isn't a big deciding factor on how you'll act as a Master, but this will raise skill Caps of the mentioned skills by 2 so you can invest more into them later)
[] Play cautiously, paying attention to your surroundings and reacting when appropriate (Raises perception and Half Light)
[] Play aggressively, Throwing whatever you can at the skeleton and make sure what you can throw does damage (Raises Hand Eye Coordination and Physical Instrument)
[] Play Smart, Observing the enemy for weakness and then informing Mash about it, and later Ophelia when she catches up (raises Logic and Authority)
[] Play Strange, tuning in, not to the battle, but the battlefield, trying to intuit what could happen next. (Raises Inland Empire and Vibes)
[] Play Cooperatively, hold out until Ophelia arrives and work with her and her shadow guy to take down the skeleton. (Raises Endurance and Fellowship)
[] Another type of way. (Insert two skills to have their level caps raised by two. They can't both be from the same stat line.)

Singularity F: Summoning up some Numbers
Vibes (Medium: Failure): You try to tune into the battlefield, but it is too alien, too chaotic for us to get any read on. But the vibrations of the ground and air are trying to say Something. It's just not possible to discern what it is yet.

Inland Empire: (Medium: Success): However intuiting where the Skeleton is going to strike is much easier for us. It doesn't seem very smart, and it's...shrieks? menacing rattles are actually tells of what it'll do next, or at least how hard it'll strike.

In short you and mash make good work against it, with her being fast enough to reposition incase it does the same, it goes down in short order after Ophelia arrives.

Mash: "Phew. I had my worries but we made it. Are you hurt Ritsuka senpai? Does your stomach hurt or feel heavy."

Ritsuka: "I'm fine, but shouldn't you be asking that to Ophelia, she was the one holding off the skeleton while I was out."

She blinks for a second and then blushes.

Mash: "Of course, Ophelia Senpai, are you alright as well?"

Empathy (easy: Success): Don't worry while she may have a slight bias towards you, she's still embarrassed and a little bit ashamed that she didn't check in on Ophelia first.

Fellowship: Good, I don't want things getting awkward between us and our fellow Master because of this.

Ophelia: "Oh no, I'm fine mash, it didn't touch me thanks to my familiar."

The shadowy being nods it's head, and now that you get a closer look at it, it seems to be clad in some sort of armor, and it has a sword holstered.

Encyclopedia (Challenging: Success): That armor is not like anything we've seen before.

Conceptualization: (Hard: Success): Upon a closer inspection it seems to be a generic knight armor, as if something or someone took a bunch of knight armors, merged them together and then added a blade.

Empathy (Medium: Success): The Knight seems to be pleased by the acknowledgment.

Ritsuka: "Okay...Mash, could you tell me what that was all about? What happened to you?"

Ophelia: "I will admit, I am more than a little curious about that as well."

Mash: "The reason behind that is-"

She would be interrupted by a hologram appearing nearby her and Ophelia. it's Doctor Archaman.

Roman: "Testing! Testing! can you hear me? This is Chaldea Central Command, Do you hear me?"

Mash: "This is Mash Kyrielight a member of Team A. Me and Two others have completed the Rayshift into Singularity F. My companions of Ophelia Phamrsolone of Team A and Ritsuka Fujimaru of Team H, His Master and Rayshift compatibility exceeds expectations, please register Senpai as an official Researcher"

Roman: "Another member of Team A Survived?! I thought-Wait Ritsuka is also there?"

Ophelia: "Yes, he helped me out of my coffin when he noticed that it was less damaged by the attack."

He would then sigh, before looking at you

Roman: "...Well I suppose I can't be too mad about you not running for safety if you managed to save someone. Well onto my next Concern. mash what are you wearing?! It's so....Shameless. I certainly didn't raise you to dress like that!"

Reaction Speed (medium: Success): Wait 'raise you' is he Mash's father or something?

Empathy: Well, he could be like, Recently divorced or something.

Conceptualization: Yeah I can see it. The question is was it an Amicable one or not.

Drama: Well I hope-

Volition (Easy: Success): Alright, let's stop trying to re-create the lives of people we don't have information about. Honestly I thought we got over it by middle school.

Logic: Old habits die hard.

You force yourself to refocus back on the current time and place. luckily nobody noticed your bout of internal distraction.

Mash: "I transformed into this, I couldn't protect Ritsuka senpai in the Chaldea uniform."

Ritsuka: "Wait, is that why all your wounds from the sabotage are healed?"

Logic (Medium: Success): That...is actually a good point, whatever she did, transformation or power up, had to have restored her to Human, no, judging from the size of that shield Above Human abilities.

Physical Instrument: To be fair, it's not that hard to be stronger and tougher than we are. Arguably it'd be harder to be weaker as your muscles would not only have to be untrained like ours are, but also weakened.

Mash: "Yes. That is also how I found the strength to fight off that skeleton while only taking Minor damage."

Romani: "She what? You what?!"

Mash would just sigh.

Mash: "Dr. Archaman please check my physical condition. It should explain everything."

Roman: "I feel like I have to at this point to get a sense of what's going on. Woah. Woah, Woah! Everything about you just about improved beyond human capabilities, You yourself don't even qualify as human anymore, but a-"

Mash: "Yes i am a Servant, I don't remember how it happened, But it seems I have survived by fusing with a servant. To investigate and resolve Singularity F, A servant was provided in advance. The Servant Lost it's master in the explosion and was doomed to vanish, but at the last second he offered me a contract. In return for his powers and Noble phantasm he wanted me to solve the cause of the singularities."

Roman: "A heroic Spirit and Human fused...I see so Chaldea finally pulled off it's sixth Experiment."

Empathy (Challenging: Failure): to properly describe what Romani is feeling right now is beyond you, but he is feeling A LOT. some of it good, some of it bad. the most distinct emotion I can parse from that is Confliction.

Roman: "Does the heroic spirit still have his consciousness?"

Mash: "No, he gave me his combat abilities and then vanished. He didn't even reveal his true name to me. Or what kind of Noble Phantasm I am holding. At this point there's too much I don't know."

Inland Empire (Challenging: Success): I don't believe that.

Ritsuka: You're going to have to be more specific there.

Inland Empire: I don't believe that he could just give her his power AND vanish. If the Fusion healed Mash then chances are it also restored the Servant to a functional state.

Logic (Challenging: Success): Yeah that....actually makes a whole lot of Sense. Granted we know next to nothing about Servants other than 'they are people of great legend summoned by masters to help resolve Singularities' But, if the Fusion can heal Mash, it could also maybe possibly probably restore the servant.

Drama: While it would be interesting if this were true, the problem remains is that Mash is like an open Book. if she's holding anything back we'd get that feeling. Of course Sire, that's just my take on the matter.

Inland Empire: The Actor has the right of it. We would notice. Which is why it's so weird that this feeling of doubt is so strong.

Rhetoric: Perhaps, this is just a guess as I truly didn't hear her use any wordplay, but perhaps that's how she know it as. It doesn't register as a Lie if they believe in it.

Drama: True.

Inland Empire: For now let us just keep our ears perked for any instance of this Servant making himself known from within Mash.

Roman: "Well look on the bright side, not every Servant summoned is willing to cooperate, so now that you are one- or as close as a Human can get to become one, you are now our trump card against the Singularities."

Mash: "I don't know about being the trump card if all the blame will land on me."

Roman: "You'll be fine. Oh and Ritsuka?"

Ritsuka: "Yeah?"

Roman: "Would you mind sticking with Ophelia and Mash? I know it's a lot to ask of you but I think that your best shot at survival is aiding them, We can also handle activating your uh, Mana Circuit while summoning up some other servants."

Ritsuka: "Well uh....is that okay with the two of you?"

Ophelia: "I trust the Doctor's Judgement."

Mash: "I would prefer it if Senpai came with us."

Ritsuka: "Well there you have it."

Roman: "Alright then, in that case Ritsuka I want you to be Mash's Master it seems like the Safest choice, and It'll also Open up your Mana Circuit."

Ritsuka: "Alright...but why is that? Mash seems to be doing real well without a Contract."

Roman: "oh...yeah i guess you don't know. Personally I blame the Pamphlets not explaining enough, but a Master is basically an Anchor for Servants, and a provider of magical Energy. It helps keeps them stable and grounded in this world, In return for acting as their Anchor they receive three, and normally only three Command Seals, These three command seals can be spent to make Servants preform miracles...Or alternatively control your servant to do things they normally won't do."

Inland Empire: Miracles? I like the sound of that.

Authority (Medium: Success): Depending on the servant or situation it could also be worth taking in the command aspect of it. You know, in the case that Mr. Smooth Talk over here fails.

Suggestion: Don't listen to him Fujimaru, he's just jealous that your more liable to people please your way out of situations.

Ritsuka: "So is that why you want me to be her master? the command seals? Because i doubt that any Mana I can provide would be any better than her upgraded reserves."

Roman: "Well about that..The version of the summoning system Chaldea uses has a few...quirks about it. Firstly Our Command Spells are more like...Compulsion Spells, as in they can't command Servants to do anything but in return the more a Servant and Master are compatible with each other, or at least in synch with each other the more mileage you can get from them. Theoretically even surpassing if only a little, the miracles regular Command spells are capable of making. You and mash seem to get along well so I'm hoping the two of you could be the miracle makers Chaldea needs. Which is good because unlike traditional command Spells, these ones recharge every 24 hours, or they will as soon as i uh get the main generators working again. The main generators will also be the Contracted servants Mana flow, so you don't have to worry about your uh, Unique status negatively affecting the mission"

Ritsuka: "Alright. Sounds good to me. Uhm...How exactly do i do this?"

Ophelia: "Well...I can explain the basics of forging a Contract, if I may."

Roman: "Yeah sure go ahead."

Ophelia: "Alright. Well, usually the Forging of a contract between a master and a Servant goes like this, The master summons up a servant...something already taken care of in this case, and then after a short introductions a question is posed, either by the Servant who was summoned or by the Master. After that a Sign of Affirmation. It's easy."

Ritsuka: "In that case..."

You look at Mash, and decide on the best way to commit to the contract.

Dialogue:
[X] A handshake, a nice simple professional option.

-[X] Electro Chemistry: Or, we can try a less professional version of it. After all she's just had her legs crushed and her workplace sabotaged. a pleasant distraction sounds like what she needs.

Ritsuka: That depends, what do you have in mind?

Electro Chemistry: Well I'm thinking we turn the shake into a hug. Hugs are nice, especially with girls.

Volition: You do realize she's wearing armor right?

Electro Chemistry: first of all, that is the skimpiest-

Encyclopedia (Medium: Success): MMO Bikini armor.

Electro Chemistry: Okay second skimpiest set of armor we've ever laid eyes upon. I mean come on, the Navel is exposed and it's pretty much a an armored leotard beyond that. I'm sure that even if we can't feel that, we can still gain something for the imagination. even if it's only what it'd feel like to hug her in her Chaldea Uniform.

Ritsuka: A hug isn't that bad. sure.

You offer up a hand to shake to forge the contract.

Ritsuka: "Well mash looks like we'll be on the same team after all, so let me introduce myself. My name is Ritsuka Fujimaru, A reserve Master of Team H. Pleased to be working with you."

She would take it with a nod.

Mash: "Mash Kyrielight, Demi-servant of Team A, likewise."

Physical Instrument (trivial: Success): Her grip is strong, like Iron. Something enhanced by her transformation into something more than Human.

Finesse (Medium Success): moving from a handshake into a hug came quite easily to us, though not so much that it shocked her into doing something hasty.

Ritsuka: "And for what it's worth...I'm glad you took that contract. It would've been...horrible if I lost one of my first friends on day one."

As you pull away from the Hug you noticed that Mash is...Blushing?

Electro Chemistry: Cute. We should try to make her do that more.

Fellowship (Medium: Success): Romani and Ophelia share the same sentiment, Although for different reasons than we do.

As the contract is made and settled you feel two things happens, first was the strange sensation of command seals on your favored hand, the second however...

Pain threshold (Medium: Failure): Is a Lot less pleasant.

A strange burning sensation fills your body filling you with the sense that something akin to your nerves are on fire.

Physical Instrument (easy: success): It's like the time your PE teacher back in middle school did the pacer gram fitness test, only instead of muscles burning it's something else.

Inland Empire (medium: success): something from the soul.

Ritsuka: "Is...is forging a contract supposed to be this bad. or is that my mana circuit."

Roman: "Ah...Right. I forgot that opening up mana circuits for the first time is...Unpleasant. Are you going to be okay?"

Pain Threshold (Medium: Failure): we'll be walking slow until the worst of it passes.

Endurance (medium: Success): But you are JUST durable enough to get back into regular shape after the Aching inside of you stops. Whenever that is.

Ritsuka: "It'll take some getting used to, but I'll be fine. Just uh, maybe keep an eye on my physical condition as I move with them?"

Roman: "About that...I won't be able to do that. The only reason our connection is even stable right now is because you all Haven't moved. The moment you start moving again, the connection will snap like a frayed wire. It should be fixed when you hit the the Leyline and start summoning. if I get the Main generators up and going again....the mana flow from here to them should uh strengthen the connection."

Mash: "You don't sound that confident."

Roman: "Well I'm more of a Medical Doctor than a mechanical one. But I'm sure it'll be fine."

Ritsuka: "Right well I suppose that's our cue to get going then?"

It wasn't but you and the others couldn't sit around talking, So you made your way towards the leyline Romani pointed you towards. And during your travel you got used to the feeling of your mana circuit activating, though the strange soreness of it all still lingers.

Pain Threshold (Medium: Success): Slowly though you got used to it. though it was hard.

More importantly though you made a realization, out of three people in this little team...You were the only one who was willing to make small talk. and actually try to get to know the others.

Empathy (medium: Success): Or at least you are the only one who is trying to make the group dynamic all inclusive. As Mash isn't much of a talker with those she considers more threatening than her human self, While Ophelia...

Fellowship (Medium: Success): Ophelia has been through a lot, and while it'll take...awhile for me to tune into her frequency as a Fellow master, rest assured, she just needs time to adjust to everything.

Maybe you should try to think of a topic that'll get them both talking...

Dialogue:
[X] Ask about the More social aspects of Chaldea, seeing as you are new and all.

Ritsuka: "So, since I'm new and all..uh...could any of you inform me about the more social aspects of the place? I don't want to step on anyone's toes once they recover the other masters least affected by the sabotage."

The two would look at you and then each other, two people who probably didn't socialize much, before Mash speaks up.

Mash: "Well...from my observations, Most the the staff just sort of grouped up naturally, like a gang or such. Masters on the other hand seemed to be much more...varied. I can't speak for how their time outside chaldea has made them all socialize differently, but the normal pattern is that outside of Teams, which seem to be organized by experience and power, Masters tend to group themselves into...Well I'm not quite sure how to call it, philosophical camps about being a Master?"

Ophelia: "Well...sort of. See, other than my Team, Team A, I mostly spent time around others like myself."

Ritsuka: "Other quiet types? I guess that explains the Shadowy Knight."

Ophelia: "Well yes, but also around others who specialized in Spiritual Evocation and those who shared the same thoughts about being a master."

Ritsuka: "Okay. And Mash, uh, did you group up with anyone? Other than Team A?"

Mash: "No other Masters, Just the Staff of Chaldea. Lev, Doctor Romani, and the others."

Ritsuka: "Okay then...So uh, what's Team A like?"

Ophelia: "Well, I can't say much about Kadoc, Daybit or Hinako, but I know that...Peperonico was what some would call the life of the party. Beryl was..."

Empathy (Medium: Success): Nothing good.

Fellowship (Medium: Success): Mash...well she doesn't cringe in acknowledgment, she does frown upon hearing the name.

Ophelia: "Beryl. and Wodime...Wodime is, different for a Magus. Special, in a good way. I admired him and.."

She trails off.

Fellowship: She is certain he's one of the dead.

Ritsuka: "Well maybe I can see why you admired him. After all i found you alive. there has to be Other survivors in those coffins."

Ophelia: "yeah, I sure hope so."

The four of you move on after that. After awhile, Mash stops and turns to face you and Ophelia.

Mash: "We are approaching the Leyline the Doctor mentioned. I wonder...will it be empowered by the strange raise of Ambient mana in the air or if whatever happened here didn't sink itself that deep into the ground."

Before you could respond a piercing shriek cuts through the air.

Perception (Medium: Success): A familiar sounding scream, a Human one.

Ritsuka: "Someone needs our help."

Mash would nod and take the lead, and eventually leading to an unexpected sight.

Ophelia: "Director?! I thought-"

The Director of Chaldea would hear Ophelia's voice, and dash toward your location, not even giving pause to throw a hateful look at you as she sees you.

Director: "Never mind what you thought, take care of the beasts and We'll talk later!"

Running After Olga would be a bunch of skeletons, three of them, meaning that whatever you fought before probably wasn't a one off thing.

Vibes (Medium: Success): The sound of the feet hitting the ground, hard fast, they have tunnel vision and don't even notice you.

It's barely a whisper but it's better than nothing.

Inland Empire (Medium: Success): Whatever Olga did must've pissed them off, perhaps a faux pass in whatever skeleton language they speak? regardless they are going to be hitting harder and defending less.

Ritsuka: "They're After the Director! Mash, try uh...making an opening for Ophelia's knight to exploit."

This battle..didn't really go over as easy as the last one, given that there are three of them and only two real fighters in your group. But you eventually see the skeletons defeated.

The Director: "Alright...Now..that that's taken care of..."

Olga Marie takes a couple deep breathes, no doubt tired from being chased by skeletons.

Endurance (Hard: Failure): Something you could relate to considering your own lack of Athleticism.

Director: "What the hell is going on. why is HE here? Why does he have command seals? where is the rest of Team A?"

She would ask Mash and Ophelia, seemingly not caring at all that Mash is a Demi-Servant.

Mash: "Well, After the explosion in the command room Senpai rushed in to help, and freed Ophelia from her coffin. the Rayshift program started and moved everyone outside of a coffin here."

Director: "Well that explains how HE got here and why I'm also here. But other than making himself surprisingly useful that doesn't explain why he is a Master. Aren't they supposed to be first class mages, and HE clearly isn't one. What did he do? did he beg you? promise you something he clearly can't deliver on?"

Empathy: Romani wasn't lying, you left a really bad impression on her. it's a little alleviated by the fact that you helped a member of Team A, but that only raised her opinion of you up by well, a little.

Mash: "No, Roman said that it would be for the best that-"

Director: "Romani's in charge?! Alright put him on then, I have some choice words for him."

Empathy (Medium: Success): and just like that all her frustration at you is gone, well no not gone, but shifted into the better target of one Dr. Romani Archaman.

Ritsuka: Well I'm glad her frustration with me is gone but still, Poor Roman.

Empathy: He is, for better or worse, used to it by now. or at least he should be.

Ophelia: "About that...we can't. Not until we tap into the nearby Leyline. "

Director: "In that case, let's go then! the sooner he explains what's going on the better."

Mash: "About that...we're already here."

Director: "Ah. W-Well in that case we set up camp and our summoning circle. Mash I'm going to need to use your shield as the catalyst."

Mash: "Is that okay with you Senpai?"

Ritsuka: "I'll trust the experts on this."

Director: "Good. Ophelia since your our resident expert on Spiritual Evocation you'll help me make the circle. Afterwards I'll be collecting a report from Romani as you walk the Reserve Master Through the processes of summoning servants. Mash, Fujimaru, you two keep an eye out for any more of the skeleton horde no doubt prowling around this location."

Authority (Medium: Success): Though her words are tainted with her temper, her orders are clear and more importantly they make a good amount of sense. She really is the Director, and is making sure she deserves to be called as such.

So you do as she says, and afterwards, well Yeah, Roman makes contact, and she pulls him...his hologram at least, away to uh, talk in private, essentially leaving you with mash and Ophelia again.

Ophelia: "So..Miss Olga has tasked me with walking you through the summoning system. For starters You're going to want this."

She hands you a pouch full of strange stones.

Ritsuka: "What are these?"

Ophelia: "Saint Quartz, basically a custom made, extremely potent mana battery Chaldea came up with. Used for activating Summoning circles, and filling both yourself and your servants with life and energy. Until you can get used to having an open mana circuit you should use these to summon. After that...Well usually this is where we'd supply a catalyst but I don't think any of us have those. So then all we have to do is Chant. Are you ready?"

Ritsuka: "Wait before we do this what is a catalyst?"

Ophelia: "It's something used to make the summoned entity be the person you want it to be. Like, uh...an iconic replica of an object the Servant you want to summon owned, or the right place. I've heard some magus use concepts unique only to them to summon."

Inland Empire (Hard: Success): Oh! Idea, why don't we offer one of us up as the Catalyst?

Conceptualization (Challenging: Success): Wait that could actually work. Provided we count as something.

Encyclopedia (Challenging: success): You do remember your dad saying he was related to someone legendary. Though that was a few years ago.

Ritsuka: "Yeah I'm ready."

Choose two of the below to act as a Catalyst for the Summoning:
[] Rely on your Bloodline (Not a check but plays into Author bias/headcanon for Ritsuka's ancestry.)
[] Rely on your Logic (Medium Check: DC 10, summons a servant with a strong relationship to logic)
[] Rely on your Empathy (medium check DC 10, Summons a servant with the abilities to read or deeply empathize with others)
[] Rely on your Hand Eye coordination (DC 10, Summons a servant who has really good Aim)
[] Rely on your Endurance (DC 10, Summon a servant notoriously hard to kill)
[] ....Try for some Fellowship? (Challenging check DC 13, Summon a Servant who knows what your going through.)
[] Write in (Choose a skill, and what Servant you want to invoke. DC will be decided by me myself)

Singularity F: Flowing Mana, Building Skills
The chant, wasn't that hard to do, but it was very wordy. So something genuinely magical. probably.

Encyclopedia (Medium: Success): I can confirm that the Chant has been successfully stored within a newly opened space in our mental library, we've got it memorized.

Ritsuka: Alright good to know we have that on lock.

You look at Ophelia and then the Circle.

Ritsuka: "Okay...So how do I actually use the Circle?"

Ophelia: "Usually you have to send a pulse of Mana through it, but for you just breaking 3 Saint quartz near the circle should supply enough mana to power it up enough for a summon."

Ritsuka: "Breaking it?"

Ophelia: "It's one of the only ways to release the mana stored inside of it, the only other ways to release it are either using it as an actual battery or uhm...Biting into it to restore your energies back to peak. Breaking one will also allow Servants to reform incase their spirit origin has been beaten down to non-combative levels and you lack the Command Seals to restore them all."

Ritsuka: "Ah. Am I Authorized to use the whole bag?"

Ophelia: "Yes. I'll be providing my own mana for my summon."

With a nod you empty the bag on the ground, with Six Saint Quartz falling out on the ground.

Electro Chemistry: It's a shame that you have to break these to use them, they REALLY appeal to the part of the brain that likes collecting shiny stuff.

Conceptualization: Don't worry, we can gaze at all the rainbow mana rocks we want as soon as we get back to Chaldea.

Volition: You two agree on the strangest things.

Encyclopedia: they were both behind our rampant dice hoarding back in high school remember?

Conceptualization (Medium: Success): Ooh! Idea, Sant Quartz Dice, used for In-universe miracles!

Electro Chemistry: I want that!

Volition (Medium: Success): Focus!

Ritsuka: "Alright, here goes nothing."

You crush the Saint quartz with your foot.

Physical Instrument (Easy: Success): The quartz gives way easily, easier than you expected.

And you begin to chant.

Ritsuka: "Heed my Words. My Will creates your body, and your Sword creates our Destiny. If you heed the Grail's call and obey my will and reason, then Answer my Summoning!"

As you began to chant, orbs of light came up from the Shield used at the base of the summoning circle, Spinning around until they create 3 rings of light. And then the Three rings collapses into the middle, creating a Pillar of Light.

Perception (Medium: Success): The first thing that reveals itself is the The two cards, golden and in coloration, each with a symbol of different person on them. For one, it's an Archer. For another it's a Knight.

Reaction Speed (medium: Success): The knight on the card looks like the Knight Ophelia has summoned. Weird.

The first card, the one with the Archer on in begins to spin, until one of it's sides transforms into an image of..An old man in front of a Spider web. It floats towards you and you hear a voice begin to speak, different from all the others nearby.

???: "Hahahaha! You must be a peculiar master to summon me! My Class is Archer, and For now that's all you'll be getting from me. But i am strong, that much I can promise you."

Perception: (Hard: Success): He sounds...exactly as old as he looks. Not to mention to very obvious British accent.

Encyclopedia (Hard: Success): I don't have any records of our dad's side of the family being British, so unless he's from a side of the family Dad doesn't know about or if he's just THAT old, it's likely that he's the one summoned by us also focusing on our math skills.

Logic (Challenging: Success): I wonder if we can piece together who he is without him directly telling us.

Ritsuka: Well I'll take that challenge.

You give a look over your archer before offering a hand to the old man.

Ritsuka: "Nice to meet you archer, my Name is Ritsuka Fujimaru. There's a uh, whole lot to explain here but I don't think I can do it justice. Regardless I and the others would appreciate your help."

He would shake it, and you feel the Contract occur. Yet there doesn't seem to be any extra Command Spells, it seems like Chaldea's variant of the contract doesn't bypass the 'Three Command Spells Per Person' rule you've been told about.

Endurance: His grip is similar to mash. He's strong, stronger than you are.

Pain Threshold (Medium: Success): The pain of the contract is wearing off, Romani must've gotten the generators working as your one mana Circuit must be...less stressed now, however that works.

After that, the Knight Card would start to glow and spin. Revealing...A Man who shares a lot of similarities with you and your father...Well Okay the only thing he has reminiscent of your father is the telltale patch of white hair sprouting up from the center of his head. Still he absolutely resembles you, at least in terms of Facial features. And just like the last time, as his appearance appears on the card, he suddenly appears from the Circle.

???: "Woah woah woah! is everything Alright here?! This feels like an Emergency Summon!"

You look around the ruined cityscape, everything on fire, or in ruins or both at the same time. You then look back at the Servant who is most likely your ancestor.

Ritsuka: "It kind of is, There is a lot going on and I'm not sure if I could explain it properly. My Name is Ritsuka Fujimaru and I summoned you and Archer. Would you be willing to lend your aid?"

As you stick out an arm to shake, he would look you in the eyes for a good long while before smiling to himself certain of his choice.

Inland Empire (Medium: Success): If eyes are the windows to the soul then he must've done some deep soul searching, and clearly liked what he found.

Empathy (Easy: Success): He is giving you his trust, don't waste it.

He shakes your hand, once again establishing another contract.

???: "Alright. You seem like a cool guy, and I'm not just saying that because we share a face. My True name is Charlemange, of the Saber class! There are a few more names for me out there but I appreciate you using this one. Those legends...no, I'll show you the truest Extent of my Heroism!"

Encyclopedia (medium: Success): Charlemagne? That's the leader of the Twelve paladins you discovered while looking up Paladin names for your Curse Of Strahd Campaign.

Ritsuka: Do we know anything about him other than that?

Encyclopedia: No. We were just looking up names, Conceptualization didn't want you take more than that from them.

Conceptualization: Well I didn't realize that we'd actually meet the guy!

Encyclopedia: That was not an accusation, but a statement.

Reaction Speed (Medium: Success): You notice the cards of the summoned servants gravitating towards your Command Seals.

As they touch your hand, it dissolves into golden dust. and you feel....Weird.

Conceptualization (Heroic: Success): I think this is beyond the purview of any of us. Inland. Can we get a second Alone?

Inland Empire: I see, it's time to pull out some of the prototypes.

Volition: Are you sure that's a good idea? More of us while we're already in Emergency mode?

Conceptualization: Don't worry, we have accounted for that.

You feel...something change.

Due to the strain of the contract lessening thanks to Romani's efforts with Chaldea's main generator you have Unlocked The ability to use your 1 Mana Circuit, and officially unlocked the Magecraft section of the Statline. As well as Access to the Mystic Code effects and spells.

Magecraft encompasses 6 skills, 4 "Basic" skills Ritsuka would need to have in order to be a Master of Chaldea each one attuned to a specific stat. And 2 "Learned" skills Ritsuka has the opportunity to learn later.

The four Basic skills are:

Army of Shadows: This Skill is your equivalent of Spiritual Evocation all about summoning Shadow Servants via Chaldea's own summoning methods and simply handling Summons in general.

Internal Circuitry: A score of how well you can use your Mana Circuit, either as a Conduit between your Servants and Chaldea's generator or as a way to utilize your own small pool of mana.

Astral Self: This is the Skill of adjusting and adapting to outside forces dragging your mind off for one reason or another, or just out of body experiences in general.

Artifice: This is the Skill covering the use and comprehension of Mystic Codes.

Now, as Ritsuka is new to Magecraft it will have to be Shaped by one of his skills, affecting his view and philosophy about it. On a mechanical level this will also affect the Magecraft Skillcap, as it'll be half of the chosen Skill's current level. Rounded down if it's a decimal.
Choose a Skill to Shape your Magecraft:
[] Interfacing (Magecraft is a tool, a fascinating and strange one, but a tool Nonetheless.)
[] Inland Empire (Magecraft is a new way of forcing your will onto the world, like your imagination but more Potent than anything your mind could think of.)
[] Conceptualization (Magecraft is a new way to express yourself, a new Art to feed into your imagination and Imagination to feed into your art.)
[] Write in (Write down what you think the Shaping Skill is, and how it will change how Ritsuka views Magecraft.)

Singularity F: A Fully Fledged Fighting Force. For now.
You hear, no Feel it. A humming coming from inside of you.

Inland Empire: I believe that would be our mana something that has long lain dormant inside of us, waiting.

Ritsuka: Waiting for what?

Inland Empire: Waiting for this moment. Or I suppose a moment much like this one, to be activated by our first steps into the mystical world I knew existed around us. And now that we're here, all we need to do is cultivate it.

Ritsuka: Our mana?

Inland Empire (Challenging: Failure): Yes that as well once we find out how. But i was talking about the skills needed to use it. So let me introduce you to your newest Stat. Magecraft.

Ritsuka: ....I know this is weird to think, but why does it feel...colorless?

Inland Empire: That was the state of us all when we were first forged by your mind. It was only through experience where we were given our colors. the Purple of centering, the Active and passionate Reds, the Bright and Shiny Yellows, and the Cool and Collected Blues. These were all assigned to us as you've gotten a handle on your own Psyche and just like us Magecraft Based skills must have a color assigned to them. But not now. when you've come to know them more.

Ritsuka: Okay, so what can I do with Magecraft?

Inland Empire: I've given you 4 Skills that will be needed on your Journey, a mixture of instinctual, Technical, Intellectual and well, Magical. Let's go over them in order. First and Foremost is Internal Circuitry.

Internal Circuitry: Morning boss, I'm the guy in charge of making sure our one Mana Circuit functions normally. Because One is all we have, and All we'll get unless we figure out a way to implant more. This is...problematic, BUT don't worry. Despite it all I believe that we can figure out a way to keep everything ticking soundly.

Ritsuka: Glad to hear it, I was a little worried that activating it like this would be detrimental.

Internal Circuitry: You were right to be worried, if it weren't for us switching into conduit mode, we wouldn't be able to handle the strain.

Inland Empire: This one, as he mentioned will work with you on matters of your mana circuit and all things that apply to your mana supply. Next up, is Army of Shadows

Army of Shadows: We will be working with you on matters of Heroic Spirits and Spiritual Evocation, cluing you into Servants and allowing you to handle the magecraft needed to work with them. For Example, we will allow you to see, use, and interact with the cards of knowledge that gravitated into your command seal.

Ritsuka: Alright. But uh, why do you use the royal we?

Army of Shadows: We are the representation of the connection between you and your servants, the stronger we become the better we can connect you and said servants.

Inland Empire: That being said Servants alone won't be enough. We have one more Skill at our back and call world. Meet Artifice

Artifice: Hello. I am Artifice, I will be responsible for your usage and understanding of the many mystic codes we can get our hands on. Hopefully we might be able to go beyond merely understanding and using, and ultimately into fine tuning and creation of them.

Ritsuka: Alright, I'll see what I can do. Maybe now I can actually use the Uniform given to me.

Artifice: Exactly! its such a fascinating piece of equipment, it would be a shame to not use it.

Inland Empire: There is One More Magecraft Skill to be introduced to, the Astral Self. He will be the one to guide, stabilize, and ground us during freak narcolepsy attacks, Rayshifitng, and other out of body experiences. He cannot talk to us while we are in the waking world.

Ritsuka: Alright, Good to know that I'll be getting some help with that, the dreams from those experiences can get weird. not like a psychological way but more like 'I can't believe I'm dreaming this' type of way. You know?

Inland Empire: Indeed. He will make sure you can keep your bearings better whenever this happens.

As you get used to the changes, suddenly you feel something grab you by the shoulder and shake you!

Director: "Wake Up!"

You whirl around, aided by the pull of the director, only to see her glaring at you, looking pissed.

Empathy (Hard: Success): You think you also see a Hint of well hidden worry in her eyes.

Half Light (Medium: Failure): You can't tell if the worry is strong enough to save you from another slap.

Reaction Time (Medium: Success): judging from the way her other hand is drawing back she is! Do something to avoid it Ritsuka!

Thinking quick with your hands you end up throwing them in the air and exclaim

Ritsuka: "I'm awake! I'm awake! please don't slap me!"

She freezes a little as you do this, sighs, and relents. letting go of your shoulder, and pushing it away from her, a bit roughly.

Pain Threshold(Medium: Failure): Rougher than she had to. given how sensitive we are to pain.

Director: "Alright this is the second time something like this has happened. Is this going to be a problem?"

Ritsuka: "Ah well..."

Dialogue: Figure out how to best explain to Olga about the nature of your condition.
[X] Explain to her in detail (Default Action, just tell her that You have, as far as you know, a very strange type of narcolepsy and are prone to bouts of uncontrolled sleep.)
-[X] Conceptulaization: Attempt to make the subject more understandable for her

You think it over, how on earth could you explain this in a way that would be simple enough for her to Understand? Especially since you don't quite understand it yourself.

Conceptualization: Well...We don't have much leeway of spinning it into something we understand, so maybe try the opposite route?

Ritsuka: What make her think I have no understanding of it at all?

Conceptualization: Think about it. If you phrase it so that you and she have the same amount of information, which is functionally true with how much we still don't understand about it, we can spin it as a terrifying unknown that could strike at any moment.

Ritsuka: ...Drama, would that work?

Drama: It's not much of a lie sire. But it would hide just how many questions you still don't have answered about it ourselves.

Ritsuka: That works for me.

You would come to a conclusion on how to tell it and speak up.

Ritsuka: "Ah well, I have this weird type of narcolepsy, gives me the ability to sleep anywhere but it also makes me liable to pass out at any time. I don't know what causes it, or how long it'll last, but it's something that's been with me my entire life. and Honestly worrisome."

After your explanation the Director just rubbed her temples.

Director: "Fine, just TRY to keep your head in the game. I'm counting on you to act as a Competent Master, while you're working under me, and i shouldn't have to tell you just how much you're failing to reach that standard."

Ritsuka: "Of Course. I understand."

She would huff as she looked at Ophelia.

Director: "Alright, Ophelia go summon your own servant, and I'll begin the briefing on what we have to do next."

With that you would rejoin the rest of the group.

Charlemagne: "Is She always like that Master?"

Ritsuka: "I can't say, I've only met her this morning. But from what I've heard she is uh...very easily irritated. and I don't think the situation is helping her temper."

Archer: "Well that could certainly be trouble."

Ritsuka: "Well all we need to do is just, make it through this singularity, maybe when things settle down"

You all are then distracted by the weird light of the summoning circle, noticing it blooming with a bout of orange before revealing the summoned servant.

Electro Chemistry (Easy: Success): She's hot.

appearing in a black skintight bodysuit gown, there stands a woman with violet hair and red eyes, with red spears in her hands. The new servant stands there, tall and proud.

???: "Well this is a surprise."

She would say looking around her masking covering up her mouth, seemingly taking in everything, as Ophelia eventually speaks up.

Ophelia: "U-uhm, Excuse me. But I am Ophelia, the Master who called for you."

Hearing her name, the Servant would look at her again, with a hint of...something in her eyes.

???: "I name is Scathatch, I hail from the land of shadows. I accept you as my master. Although I am curious about the summoning that brought me here."

Encyclopedia (Medium: Success): Okay We know a lot more about her. Albeit only her roles and the weapon she and her most well known servant uses.

Ritsuka: Hey I'll take what I can get.

Encyclopedia: Scathatch is not just someone who hails from the land of shadows, she is the Queen of it, she has a profound mastery over Spears and Runic Magic and kicking ass in general. She is the teacher/coach of Cu Chulainn. She has a rival who might be her sister called Aife. Her spears are legendary by name alone as Gae Bulg-

Electro Chemistry (trivial): whew. just imagine the humor we can do with a name like that.

Encyclopedia: Which can cause open wounds and when thrusted into it, explodes out into many, many barbs I think 30, meaning that in order to remove it from a person once it's lodged in, you would have to either tear out the chunks of your body it is attached to, or surgically cut it out of the body.

Ritsuka: So in short, stay out of the way of her spears.

Physical Instrument: I would suggest asking- no wait- begging her to train us. Dignity be damned we just obtained someone capable of turning our worthless mass of muscles into something we can be proud of!

Volition: We are more than JUST our muscle mass!

Physical Instrument: Not from where I'm looking.

As the Director sees that the Servant she's all summoned she gathers you, Ophelia and the other Servants plus Mash together, and a thoroughly berated looking Romani Archaman pops up.

Roman: "I think this should be enough Servants to explore the Singularity. Permission to tell them about my report Miss Olga Marie?"

Director: "Granted, and make it quick alright? no need to think about it more than needed."

Romani takes a deep breath and then begins to talk.

Roman: "Okay, so the short of it is this. Due to the Sabotage of Chaldea, Chaldea itself has lost 80 Percent of it's functionality, our Staff Members have been reduced to 20, including myself and...out of the 48 Masters we have here...46 of them have all been taken out of commission, currently being Preserved Cryogenically until we can gather enough medical supplies to save those we can. Until that day comes, Ophelia, Ritsuka, You two will have to be our only Active Masters. I'm sorry."

The news comes to you like a shock, but...

Fellowship (Medium: Success): Ophelia is taking it worse.

Ophelia: "W-wait. Does that mean that Wodime's..."

Roman: "Team A was hit that hardest by the Sabotage, especially Wodime's...before I put him into Cryostasis his vitals were the worst of the lot. We can do what we can to help him but...It's not looking too good."

Ophelia begins to shake at that, as she tries to calm down, her worst fears all but confirmed,

Ritsuka: "Ophelia I'm-"

Ophelia: "Don't be...it wasn't you who did this...I..I just need some time to process this."

Empathy (Medium: Success): Although the two of you know that she won't be getting over this so easily.

Pain Threshold (Medium: Failure): The pain she's going through right now is incomparable to anything you could ever feel or imagine feeling.

Roman: "For now, I'll be putting manpower into repairing Chaldea's Rayshifting capabilities and the maintenance of Chaldeas and Sheba respectively."

Director: "A Plan so sensible I'm frankly surprised you even thought of it. Regardless remember to call in for outside help once communications are reestablished. I DO NOT want you putting off calling for help as soon as possible. Remember you're still in charge until I get back. Don't make me regret that."

Roman: "Yes ma'am. Although I'm surprised you haven't made getting yourself back to chaldea into a priority."

Director: "Don't be stupid, while that would, admittedly, be nice. This was just a big slap in the face from someone! infiltrating Chaldea, planting those explosives, somehow making it so that the only people who could Rayshift are those OUTSIDE of the coffins, all in a ploy to either kill me or majorly discredit me in the eyes of the association! By surviving and leading the resolving of this Singularity I will be thwarting both options I just mentioned!"

Empathy (Medium: Success): In short, she wants to spite all of the people she considers responsible for this. That is stronger than her very real fear of what could happen to her here.

Roman: "Right...I'll get back to it, I'll check back in with you all once I make enough progress."

With that the hologram of Romani would be cut off and Olga would huff.

Director: "Alright, now Ophelia, Fujimaru, you two are expected to do two things. First and Foremost, keep me safe while we explore this Singularity. I would summon a servant myself, but after testing it was found out that I was better suited for making contracts in Chaldea. N-Not that I need them outside of Chaldea, I assure you that my prowess as a Magus is not to be underestimated."

Authority (Medium: Success): She clearly doesn't want you to feel like she can do less because of...whatever is keeping her from summoning here. it's a sore spot

Drama (Hard: Success): Of course that's assuming she's ashamed of the summoning part. Which personally I doubt, I mean..Summoning seems way too simple to be restrict a person to one time.

Director: "Job number 2 is simple, we explore this Singularity until we find out what's causing it and get rid of it. Any questions?"

You raise up your hands, as it occurs to you that...you passed out during orientation. you do not miss the glare Olga Marie shoots your way.

Director: "Well color me shocked that one who Slept Through orientation has no idea what's going on!"

Empathy (Trivial: Success): You also don't miss the words dripping with sarcasm.

Fellowship (medium: Success): Ophelia and Mash doesn't think that's fair...well no, Ophelia has no idea what do think, but Mash does think it's unfair.

Army of shadows (Medium: Failure): We cannot get a read on our servants reactions to this. Sorry.

Ritsuka: "Look I'm sorry about sleeping through your orientation, and trust me I'm currently regretting it. But right now I feel kind of lost. Could you walk me through the cliffnotes version at least?"

Director: "You better be sorry. Also Cliffnotes?"

Ritsuka: "Yeah, uh, summaries of texts or information?"

Olga Marie has a glimpse of recognition in her eyes and nods.

Director: "I suppose it must be some weird modern day slang I'm not familiar with. Very Well. Singularities are weird pockets in time that, if left to fester and grow, can and will endanger the timeline of Humanity. We, well YOU use the Rayshifting system, to summon yourselves into said pockets so you and other Masters can track down whatever is causing it and well stop it from growing. Don't worry about things like collateral damage or something, nothing we do here will have any affect on the timeline at large. Unless You fail to resolve the singularity. So don't."

Encyclopedia(Hard: Success): Alright, noted down for future reference. Let's rock.

Ritsuka: "Thank you. I at least know the basics of what I'm doing here now."

Director: "Good. next thing I know you'll be asking me about Servants."

Electro Chemistry: Hey You know what'd be somewhat funny?

Joke Based Dialogue:
[X] Actually I wouldn't mind getting a more detailed explanation of them if you wouldn't mind explaining. (Genuinely ask for more knowledge)

Ritsuka:"Actually uh, the Pamphlet went into very little about Servants, mostly what qualifies them as Servants. Could you give me a more detailed rundown about them? like how they work mechanically?"

Director: "And why do you want to know that?"

Ritsuka: "I think it would be helpful when setting up expectations of who i can or can't summon."

Director: "Ophelia, are you well enough to explain to Fujimaru the basics of Servants? A brief explanation at that."

Ophelia: "I-I think so."

Director: "Good, then please to explain to Fujimaru on what he should attempt to summon so he doesn't waste Quartz on something that ends up being a liability."

Ritsuka: "I'm all ears."

Encyclopedia: Ready to commit it all to memory.

Ophelia: "So with our summoning system there are two types of Spirits Chaldea can call upon, Heroic Spirits and Phantom Spirits. We don't have a lot of time so let's just stick with these two concepts."

Empathy(Medium: Success): Olga is pleased by her request on making the explanation brief being followed.

Authority: As she should.

Ritsuka: "Alright. So what's the difference between those two?"

Ophelia: "Well...Heroic Spirits are what we want to summon, people with enough Mystery associated with their legendary actions to manifest themselves. They are usually historical figures or people from legends, Take Charlemagne or my Servant Scathatch. They can access and use their skills and abilities from when they were alive."

Encyclopedia(Challenging: Failure) Say, when DID Scathatch die? I don't remember that part in her legend.

Ritsuka: "And I take it that Phantom Spirits can't do that?"

Ophelia: "Oh no, they can, but the lack of mystery, or fame, or a legend to back them up prevents them from being fully fledged heroic Spirits, becoming mere Phantom Spirits weaker versions of themselves, they can't hold enough mana to give them a proper Spirit Origin and because of that they would be the weakest type of Shadow Servant and would more than likely lack a Proper Physical Form unless special accommodations are being made for them."

Ritsuka: "Okay i think I get it. Phantom Spirits would be things like characters in fiction or tall tales. Makes Sense."

Ophelia: "Yeah. Unless of course there is someone out there who possess a history similar enough to a Phantom Spirit in which case it would be a Heroic Spirit."

Ritsuka: "Huh. Good to know."

Conceptualization (Medium: Success): I wonder if this means that we can summon Walter White From Breaking Bad. I mean there has to be at least 1 Chemistry teacher who sold drugs on the side out in the world.

Ritsuka: Really? Walter White?

Endurance: I mean the man is a case of never knowing when to give up. with our new job, we could use some of that determination.

Volition: Okay, I'm vetoing the Walter White idea. He is definitely a bad choice, besides, we're in enough danger as it is right now without inviting the hubris of him.

Ritsuka: Yeah. Although Maybe we can think of someone else who exists in media but can also reasonably exist in real life.

With a Sigh Olga Marie is just glad that it's over with.

Director: "Alright enough talking, the longer we stand here the more likely it'll be for more monsters to come find us."

With that she would begin walking, and you and the others followed her. Only for her to be proven correct as what looks like a small group of skeletons were heading your direction. Olga would of course scramble behind you

Scathatch: "Hmm.. They look a little weak, but should be sufficient training dummies. Keep your eyes on me Master, I'll show you what I can do."

Archer: "I believe that should be my line, Master, I may look old but rest assured I am as combat capable as any servant."

Archer would say stepping out in front of you manifesting a....is that a Coffin gun?

Perception(Medium: Success): I believe so.

Interfacing (Hard: Success): It seems to decked out with all types of guns and offensive long ranged weaponry. a bit clunky for my tastes.

Artifice: But it fits me just fine. you should inquire more about that when you get the chance.

Charlemagne: "Well it looks like everyone's eager. Well I suppose I can't blame them, I'm eager to show off what i can do myself."

Mash: "Right, Senpai, Director, Ophelia, stay behind me."

With that, Charlemagne would step in line with the other three servants while mashed stayed a few steps behind to act as a defense for masters.

Now all that's left to do is well be a Master, help your servants fight.

Choose your battle strategy: This will be your first real Test as a master, choose two ways to aid your Servants (well your Servants and Scathatch) in battle.
[] Use your Mystic Code (Medium Artifice check DC 10, unlocks basic use of Mystic code and it's spells)
[] Try to Intuit what the Skeletons will do next (Hard Inland Empire Check DC 12)
[] Create a plan to group up and take out as many skeletons as possible (Hard Visual Calculus check DC 12)
[] Write in (Suggest a plan of action that involves one of your skills, newly acquired or not, I will decide the Dice Check. Yes this can be chosen twice, but you need to use a different skill for each write in, and make it make sense. )

  • [X] Create a plan to group up and take out as many skeletons as possible (Hard Visual Calculus check DC 12)
[X] Explain to her in detail (Default Action, just tell her that You have, as far as you know, a very strange type of narcolepsy and are prone to bouts of uncontrolled sleep.)
-[X] Conceptualization : Attempt to relate the subject in a manner she might understand more clearly. You've run into communication issues before do to differences in your perspectives.
[X] Actually I wouldn't mind getting a more detailed explanation of them if you wouldn't mind explaining. (Genuinely ask for more knowledge)
[X] Engage in a little trolling (Play up your ignorance of Servants to see what reaction she'll have)
[X] Explain to her in detail (Default Action, just tell her that You have, as far as you know, a very strange type of narcolepsy and are prone to bouts of uncontrolled sleep.)
-[X] Encyclopedia: Go in deeply in detail about it, she is the Director after all, so the more prepared for this she is the better. Even if you don't know that much about it yourself. (Optional Add On. it let's the Director and by extension Mash, Ophelia and Romani prepare for your strange bouts of sleeping/out of body experiences)
[X] Yeah, people of great legend summoned by masters, pretty self explanatory (Don't inquire more into Heroic Spirts, you feel like you know enough)
