Jeweled Eye
[] She will TEACH Ophelia Phamrsolone

Manaka held out her hand and pointed at the enemy, "Don't hold back. Teach them despair."

Hyde howled and rushed towards Ophelia but Rider intercepted the madman as they clashed. The Valkyrie Brynhildr dived from above and forced them apart, using her spear to keep Rider at bay before Hyde slipped in with an uppercut.

Rider huffed before slashing twice with a spin while Hyde dodged and Brynhildr parried the strike. This left Rider open for Hyde to swipe at but the Hero used his leg to catch the swipe, kicking it as he parried the Valkyrie.

Hyde powered through his stagger and lunged but Rider simply flipped to smash his heel against the Wolfman's chin before redirecting the Valkyrie's blow. He and Brynhildr clashed and exchanged blows, ending with him being pushed back as Hyde deliver a roundhouse kick from the side.

Rider caught the kick and used his strength to throw the werewolf towards the Valkyrie, causing her to smash him aside with a backhand.

"No mercy even to your allies? How cold," Rider said as he shot forward.

This time he was on the offensive as he clashed and broke Brynhildr's guard. Bending his back, he avoided Hyde's bite before using his sandals to launch himself and deliver a vicious kick upon the Blackened Berserker's chin.

He then raised his guard as the Valkyrie sent him flying through the air. She chased him but he used his sandals to kick off the air, slashing down at her where they came into contact.

Beneath them, Ophelia fought her own battle. Weaving spells, she invoked the spirits which guarded her as she had the Phamrsolone magic crest throb on her body.

"Wail! Condemned Souls!" She cried out as evil spirits rushed towards Manaka.

"Mm, that's not what I want," Manaka said as she brushed her hand and deleted the evil spirits from reaching her, "How about this?"

Jagged icicles formed in the air before raining down on the woman. Ophelia took out a vial from her pocket and splashed it into the air. The icicles got caught and they immediately melted, fading away as Ophelia caught her breath and held out her hand..

"Burn!" Her circuits flared as a pillar of fire rushed to swallow Manaka whole.

"Not this one either," Manaka said as she swept her hand once more and raised a barrier. The flames slammed into the barrier and were forced to dissipate

Ophelia's eye widened as she found that Manaka had vanished. She noticed a presence behind her as she drew a vial from her sleeve. She threw it as Manaka appeared behind her, only for the girl to hold up a hand and tear through space itself.

"Displacement?!" Ophelia breathed as she leaned back to avoid her own vial as it exploded nearby.

She was forced to defend with her arms as she was tossed through the air. Hitting the ground and rolling, Ophelia grit her teeth as Manaka called upon crystals to fill the air.

"I'll show you the gap between us," Manaka giggled as she formed the crystals into a lance.

Her power even when muted in this world, was still on par with that of a Magus from the Age of the Gods. She smiled in glee as she swiftly lowered her hand.

"I will teach you a lesson, Ophelia," Manaka said just as her enemy moved.

Ophelia tore off her eyepatch and looked at Manaka. That was when the blonde girl recognized it too late. She didn't see this outcome... Because the outcome she currently was in had been culled.

"I do not recognize your brilliance," Ophelia declared as her Mystic Eye flashed.

Manaka's magecraft had been stopped and for the first time, she was surprised. Her thoughts raced as she recalled a certain man's words to her.

As she thought that, something rushed towards her in form of malevolent spirits howling for her blood. Manaka leaned back and dispelled them, but not before their claws managed to cut her cheek.

Pain.

Her thoughts returned to that time, when her beloved plunged his sword into her. It was painful but the passion she felt at that time wasn't there. Manaka Saiyjou failed to see this possiblity and felt pain from it.

All she felt was the prickling pain from her wound as she held her cheek.

"Potnia-" Manaka breathed in a cold tone but Ophelia held out her hand.

"I won't let you!" Ophelia snapped as her eye bled from exertion. Manaka felt another possibility be culled once more.

Annoying. This was annoying.

Black corruption bubbled behind Manaka as she held her bleeding face. This feeling in her chest, it was like that time. Yes, Manaka recalled it... When her precious sister spoke to her King.

How fascinating, this feeling.

From the corruption Brynhildr arose and lunged at Ophelia. Transported from where the Valkyrie had been fighting, Brynhildr made an appearance from the corruption.

Manaka smiled but then what she saw was different from what she expected. A Hero descended cloaked in darkness, his mask gazing at her from afar.

"Don't underestimate how fast I am!" Rider laughed as he pinned Brynhildr's spear into the ground.

The Valkyrie overwhelmed him with her sheer strength and cut his mask apart, revealing a youthful face as he glared at Manaka.

"Ophelia!" Rider snapped as Ophelia raised her right hand.

"By my Command Seal, I order you Rider, eliminate the enemy Master!" Ophelia roared as Rider manifested a white steed unfurling its wings.

Manaka watched just as the Valkyrie sought to hinder the Master and Servant with runes but Ophelia prevented that too. That eye. It was beautiful yet annoying.

Rider rode on his steed and shot forward as Ophelia turned her gaze towards Manaka. It was dazzling.

"Bridle of Chivalry(Bellerophon)," Rider roared as the Pegasus flapped its wings once and reached impossible speeds.

It was coming.

"Hyde," Manaka called as darkness bubbled behind her and the Blackened Berserker lunged to meet the Pegasus.

He roared as he slammed straight into the Noble Phantasm, his body breaking apart but he laughed regardless. Instead of letting it hit Manaka, Hyde redirected the Pegasus at the cost of his entire left side being broken apart.

But...

"Where did..?" Manaka blinked before looking up. Rider was imbued with the power of the Command Seal as he slashed downwards.

Rider tensed once he found that a magical seal kept his blade from reaching Manaka. His eyes widened as he turned to see Ophelia gasp as her eye bled.

"Three minutes... For three minutes you could surprise me," Manaka breathed before a smile curled upon her lips, "How interesting, to think there were people like you."

Brynhildr moved to swing at Ophelia but Rider abandoned his scythe to get to his Master. He was able to slam his foot into the Valkyrie and send her off while Ophelia's Mystic Eye reached its limit.

Manaka still felt the pain from her injury as she looked down at Ophelia. She raised her hand to give death upon the girl-

Ophelia smiled as she activated her Mystic Eye once more, surprising Manaka.

"Checkmate!" Ophelia snarled as Manaka blinked.

The girl turned too late to see Pegasus diving down towards her.

BOOM

An explosion rang. It pulverized an entire portion of the building into dust leaving nothing in its wake. This was the power of Rider's Noble Phantasm once he let it loose.

Ophelia got up and breathed hard as she held her bleeding eye. She leaned against her servant and spoke, "We need to go. Rider..."

Passing out, she fell into her Servant's arms. Rider wasted no time getting away. He kicked off the ground and jumped off the building, descending with his sandals and shooting into the horizon.

.....
....
...

It was morning when you woke up. You ate your meal while receiving the reports from the events that occurred the night before.

Sayjou Manaka and Ophelia Phamrsolone fought one another. The battleground was the highest point of a Finance Building which ended with a Noble Phantasm decimating a portion of it.

The Servant Rider was last seen fleeing but there had been no sign of Manaka. It pretty much coincided with Berserker going missing during the night.

"Impressive," you breathed as you narrowed your gaze. You sighed as you set down your phone and took a sip of your coffee.

Well, you could praise Ophelia for what she did but this does put you in a bad spot. Especially tonight...

Your breakfast came by as Assassin placed it in front of you. It looked and smell delicious, just noticing it made you incredibly hungry. You glanced at her as she took her seat before you.

"Is there something on your mind, Master?" Assassin asked you.

"I'm... Your cooking's way better now," you told her with a nod.

Assassin smiled and said, "You could say I've become motivated."

You took a bite and chewed. Delicious. It was night and day compared to her first meal made for you. But even then, you thoughts returned to Manaka. This can turn real ugly for you tonight.

"Things have begun to change... I need to do a lot of things," you said as you leaned back on your seat.

"Is it about the disturbance last night?" Chiyome asked you with a curious look.

"Manaka may be in trouble... But we have to do something about Mrs. Sakatsuki She might end up getting caught in the crossfire... Or maybe I should acquire new allies in the light of these events," you sighed as you rubbed your chin.

Assassin stared at you and said, "Whatever you do, I will be supporting you, My Lord."

[] Return to the City and search for Manaka at once. Leave the other things you had in mind to your employees. Manaka was your priority.
[] Take Mrs. Sakatsuki and put her under the Church's protection. While you're doing that, maybe you can ask Caren for what happened last night in greater detail.
[] You can use this time to gather new allies. You'll be left open with Manaka gone so you need to fill the hole somehow. You're in deep shit if you don't do anything fast.
[] Search for Ophelia. She couldn't have gotten out of that fight unscathed. Find her and when you do, you can probably finish her off... Not unless she allied on your terms with you.

Too many good options, so I'm just going to voice my thoughts on each for now.

-Return to the City and search for Manaka at once. Leave the other things you had in mind to your employees. Manaka was your priority.
This would probably be one of the best times to interact with Manaka. She just got interested and outplayed, so she's ripe for a change.
- Take Mrs. Sakatsuki and put her under the Church's protection. While you're doing that, maybe you can ask Caren for what happened last night in greater detail.
Keeping Miyu's mom safe helps ensure that we don't have to worry about her being used against us or Miyu. Getting some more info on the deaths would also be useful for figuring out what group is responsible.
-You can use this time to gather new allies. You'll be left open with Manaka gone so you need to fill the hole somehow. You're in deep shit if you don't do anything fast.
Not so sure about this one, just because I can't really think of any allies were could try. Saber and their master are our archenemies, we already tried team Lancer, Rider and Ophelia are another option entirely, Caster hates us, Archer seems to be with Caster, and Berserker's out for obvious reasons. Also, it's probable that one of the other masters is responsible for the murders, making allying with any of the unknown ones even riskier.
-Search for Ophelia. She couldn't have gotten out of that fight unscathed. Find her and when you do, you can probably finish her off... Not unless she allied on your terms with you.
She's at her weakest right now. We know from FGO that overusing her eye will kill her, so she'll be down a command seal and her trump card if we fight. Plus, she's been shown to be mostly reasonable and likely to be someone we could work with for a time. The downside is that, given Manaka's narration, Ophelia might have pissed her off.

isn't caster dead? also since archer's master is dead, it's likely archer either found a new master or is currently without a master and surviving on independent action currently. could be an opportunity we could cash in on.

A lot of good options, but the need to keep a freakin' eye on Manaka to make sure she's not doing evil stuff tips the scale for me.

Manaka won't die so easily, but she's probably hurt bad right now. For now, she's going to lay low and heal up for the moment, so we got time to bring Mrs Sakatsuki to safety and do more research with the Church, effectively doing two goals at once.

I'm interested in Rider's identity. Last I knew, Bellerophon was Rider!Medusa's noble phantasm. I can't recall which hero was originally associated with the Pegasus.

Archer might be surviving off of soul munching to start around just like Medusa had to.

gotta remember the win conditions

Archer does have immortality. It wouldn't surprise me if she has a high rank in Independent Action, barring the use of her Noble Phantasm.

Manaka losing is some real bullshit.

Asking Caren about stuff may give us a lead on searching for Manaka. Two birds with one stone.

Hmm, is it possible that Manaka was vaporized in the attack? Would be a pretty anticlimactic end to her, ngl.

I don't think that Manaka is gone. It's possible, and Berserker vanishing does indicate that he's been put out of commission in some way, but we haven't seen a body.
And in Fate, even if you see a body, there's no gurantee that someone's dead.

I mean, Servants dematerialize when they die technically, so... :V

Edit: Ah, didn't read your second line. Then sure, agreed.
