[] Maybe... Maybe she's serious. You were just joking but maybe this could work out. Maybe she had an actual change of heart. This is a miracle.
This is bullshit.
This is bullshit and you knew it. But maybe... Maybe she's serious. You were just joking and simply played the bit up this afternoon but it seemed like she was actually serious about this... Or was at least pretending to be.
Maybe she had an actual change of heart or maybe her programming was just bugged. You stared at her long and hard wondering if she'll break character and stab you with a knife. You were prepared for that much at least but she didn't budge.
.....
This is such bullshit but if this was how she going to play it, maybe you can go along with it. As long as you didn't overextend, you can kill her later. This wasn't the first time someone tried this.
What did she think you were, stupid?
"Well, that's good. You made the smart play," you praised her as you managed a small smile, "Did Saber give you some advice?"
"I spoke with him yes. It's surprising just how much you can glean off his drunken rambling. Still, Brother, I thank you for showing me the new light. I look forward to working with you," Minerva said as she held up her hand, offering it to you.
You kept your smile and spoke, "I don't think we're close enough for that, are we?"
"Of course. I did try and kill you for the better part of the year. Chasing you from city to city, burning down your hideouts and cutting down your men," Minerva said as she pulled her hand back and rubbed her hair, "But that's behind us now, right?"
You tried to ignore that...
You smiled and nodded, "If it means you can direct your attention elsewhere, sure."
"Good. Then I won't keep you. I'll see you around, Brother," Minerva said as she walked past you, "Don't be so stiff, it's unlike you, Brother.
You felt something cold and sharp brush against your neck before you jerked and moved back. You were only met with the sight of Minerva moving down the side of the hall before getting out of sight.
You pressed your hand against your neck and half expected blood to be there. You didn't like this and you didn't buy her bullshit. Maybe you should have called her out while you had the chance. There's no way a Killing Machine determined to crush your neck would change in one fucking afternoon.
She wasn't going to try anything here at the church but in the field...
You moved on ahead. It was better if she was openly trying to kill you. Now you didn't know if she was pretending or not. For now, you'll assume she was pretending and be on guard.
Even if she wasn't, you'll have to kill her regardless. You needed her body after all.
You approached your room and knocked twice before entering. Chiyome was inside with a large number of weapons spread out on the ground. It seemed to consist of every single Shinobi tool she wielded.
She was quick to grab the cloth underneath her weapons and tools before yanking it up. In one motion, she was able to make all of them vanish from your sight.
"Color me impressed. It looked like a magic trick," you told her as you shut the door.
"Hans, it's good to see you. Is something wrong? You don't look so good," Chiyome asked as she walked up to you and touched your forehead, "You're pale."
"Am I? I think Hell just froze over somehow," you told her as you remembered your encounter with Minerva, "That's besides the point. You have a mission tonight."
"I'm aware. I was just fixing my tools," Chiyome said as she looked up at you, "Are you sure you're okay?"
"I am. Don't worry," you tried reassuring her, "Just focus on being safe tonight. I made arrangements for Edelfelt and Ophelia to provide you with some more tools. Don't take unnecessary risks, I still need you tomorrow."
"But of course. I won't fail you. I'm more worried about you, however," Chiyome said as she fixed your jacket and straightened it out, "While I won't try and risk things, don't do anything dumb either. You need someone to rein you in. Your own ruthlessness could be your downfall."
"A lecture? Playing the part of a partner well, aren't you?" You chuckled as you pat her shoulder.
"I did promise Luvia and Sakura," Assassin said as she smiled up at you. She then held on to your clothes and pulled you close into a hug.
You didn't resist and simply strokes her hair. She then let go and opened the door.
"See ya," Assassin said as she ran out of the room.
"Yeah... See ya," you said as you shut the door.
.....
....
...
"Think you can lend me some reagents?" You asked as you stood in front of Luvia's room.
"Your shame just up and vanished did it? Is it because we became hostile to you?" Luvia asked as she crossed her arms while leaning on her doorframe.
"Maybe. But that's beside that. I know you have some left over materials Caren gifted you to make some support Mystic Codes for Assassin. I was wondering if I could have a vial of liquid silver," you replied as you smiled.
Luvia tried shutting the door on your face but you stopped it with your foot.
"I need to talk. It's about Saber's Master," you quickly said as you wore a more serious expression.
Luvia frowned at that before asking, "What do you mean?"
"I'd rather take this inside. The walls could have ears," you warned her as you glanced behind you before Luvia eventually conceded and let you in. You shut the door and were immediately aimed at by several magic circles holding explosive gemstones within them.
Classy.
"Talk," Luvia said as she frowned at you.
"She's acting weird. Minerva wants to reconcile with me even after she's spent the entire year and this war trying to brutally murder me. So I want some insurance by getting your help," you told her with a sigh.
"And why would I do that?" Luvia asked as she crossed her arms.
"Because if Minerva stabs my back before I stab hers, that puts us in a precarious situation. I'd rather give you the Grail than let her have it. If anything happens in the future, you and Sakura will need to protect Miyu," you told her with a serious tone.
"We still have Lancer," Luvia pointed out.
"Lancer doesn't have much time left. Forgive my bluntness but she won't last past tomorrow. Her Spirit Origin is too damaged, Sakura knows this well. That's why I'm coming on to you," you explained as you pressed your back against the door, "Your presence once she passes will be the least of Minerva's concern, giving you more freedom. Work in the background, prepare everything you might need."
"And how are you so sure she's going to stab you? She's insane, is she not? You never know truly whether this is madness or her true feelings," Luvia said as she narrowed her gaze.
"That's the scary thing. I don't know if she's fucking with me or not. That puts me on edge. I can play her game but there's no telling what her moves will be. If she's being genuine or not will force what moves I could make," you admitted as you closed your eyes, "I know it's asking a lot after I kept so much hidden from you."
"But why us? Why not Phamrsolone?" Luvia questioned.
"Well... she has Rider with her. They're a faction I can't get a read on. You don't have to break your alliance with them but I believe that they'll be more focused on fighting than anything. As to why and Sakura... Well, anyone who knows Shirou Emiya can't possibly bad people. Plus I've observed you two for awhile now," you replied as you met her gaze, "You don't have to act for now but please consider this."
Luvia regarded your expression before sighing, "Had you been this devious against us, we wouldn't stand a chance. I can understand your position however. We see you the same way you see Minerva. Fine, we'll keep an eye out. But this is the extent of what we can do. Once Lancer passes, we'll be vulnerable."
"Thanks," you smiled.
Luvia then took something out of her drawer and tossed it your way. Catching it, you looked down at the vial.
"Take it and leave before I blow you to pieces, you slimy bastard," Luvia snapped as you opened the door and left her room. Shutting the door, you glanced to your side.
"Thanks for watching my back," you breathed as you smiled, "Artoria."
"That was a rather heated conversation. I felt her gemstones on you from the other side of the door. Will everything be all right?" the King of Knights asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes. I've plugged the holes on my ship for now. Thanks for accompanying me," you said with a nod.
"If Assassin knew you were entering women's rooms at night, what would she think?" Artoria asked as the two of you walked down the hall, "What did you get anyway?"
"Oh just something I can use for later," you said as you patted the vial in your pocket. You also felt Assassin's snake slither under your clothes, "Can't help but be prepared during the time my Servant isn't with me."

Landing on top of a electrical tower, Assassin looked up at the distant Pyramid sitting at the mountainside. Thanks to her own senses and sharpened perception, she was able to see the structure in its entirety. It was huge, larger than most castles she had infiltrated in her past life and not only that but its architecture was vastly different as well.
She looked up the sky and saw a white comet riding through the air.
Rider was going to antagonize the swarm of monsters circling the crown of the pyramid so she had the chance to enter it. There were openings on each layer of the structure but there were also multiple entrances. There were entrances on the side and the front, guarded by grounded Phantasmal Beasts Assassin did not recognize.
The swarm had taken the bait, shooting up in a mass of winged bodies and claws but they weren't fast enough to catch up to Rider.
She had two objectives for tonight, scout out the interior of the pyramid to test its defenses and finding Miyu alongside Ayumi. Maybe if she was lucky, she can find the Blackened and assassinate him when she gets the chance.
"Well then... Shall we begin?" Assassin murmured as she concealed her presence.
Infiltration
[] Accomplish Caren's orders of gathering information regarding the pyramid. Its layout, defenses and combat strength are core intel Assassin needed to gather.
[] Focus on Hans' plan of getting to and extracting Miyu and Ayumi. Once Assassin had a clear path to their location, she'll be ready next time.
[] Find the Blackened and kill him when the chance presents itself. If the opportunity shows, they might not even need to go on with the plan risking everyone's lives.
