[] Write-in... "No, I... I'm a friend of Miyu's. I need you to come with me please."
Assassin stared right back and shook her head. She lowered her head with a polite expression, "No, I... I'm a friend of Miyu's. I need you to come with me please."
"Miyu?" The woman blinked in surprise before placing a hand before her lips, "Oh my, then are you allied with Miss Minerva? Has she finally recovered Miyu?"
Chiyome hesitated before speaking up, "We don't have time. We only seek to provide Miyu her wish. Right now, she wants to meet you."
"'We', you say? Then... Perhaps are you an enemy Servant then?" The woman said as she slowly stood up.
"It's not like that. But Miyu has requested seeing you again," Assassin replied with a determined look, "I am here to extract you as soon as possible, so please come with me."
"I see. But I'm not so foolish to just accept that at face value, you know?" The woman said with a huff and a pout, "You could be trying use me as bait for all I know."
Assassin was taken aback by this before shaking her head, "I mean you're right to be suspicious but we don't really have the time-"
The door opened behind Assassin and a girl with orange hair stepped in. Assassin vanished a split second before the door opened, confusing Miyu's mother as the newcomer stepped in.
The girl wore the appearance of Minerva, the woman set on killing Assassin's Master. However she had shorter hair and a blank look on her face. She stepped in with sword in her hip as she turned to the other woman.
"Lady Hiyoko, is everything all right here?" The girl asked with urgency.
Hiyoko blinked and Assassin pressed her back against the corner she hid in, her hand resting on her blade.
"Yes, everything is fine. Nothing at all wrong here," Hiyoko replied with a wink and a thumbs up. She then placed a hand on her hip, "Is something wrong though?"
"We're being attacked by an enemy Servant. If you see anything suspicious, please alert us. Remain here, you will be kept safe," The orange haired girl explained.
"An enemy Servant. I wonder what it wants," Hiyoko hummed with a knowing smile, "Well, you should go now. Can't leave the halls unguarded now, right?"
"Yes. Thank you," the orange haired girl said as she bowed and left.
Hiyoko watched her leave before glancing to the side, "If you are here for Miyu's sake, you shouldn't have picked a fight here. If that's the case then she should be nearby, right? Don't you realize you're putting her in danger by doing this?"
Assassin dismissed her concealment and faced the woman, "That's true. But knowing the dangers and the risks, Miyu chose to come here. For the first time since she came here, she chose this. She took this step forward. She's braver than even myself for doing so... So please, don't deny her at this crucial moment."
Hiyoko stared at Assassin before sighing, "Well... If you insist. Minerva can't blame me if I go with a Servant that can easily overpower me."
She turned around and walked to a wardrobe standing by the wall. She opened it and tossed out some clothes and kimono before kneeling down to push a section of the wood and the wall.
There was a resounding thud as Hiyoko glanced at Assassin, "We can escape through the secret room. You'll need to be alert though, they might come and get us."
Hiyoko crawled in the hole as Assassin looked behind her. The door wasn't opening soon. She moved in to the hole and jumped in, rolling to find herself in a separate room from where Hiyoko was being held. The woman moved to the side and pulled a hatch leading downwards.
"Are they aware of this place's existence?" Assassin asked the woman, "Have you used it before?"
"They might know. I use it to go buy junk food from the convenience store from time to time," Hiyoko replied as she climbed down the ladder.
"Without tripping alarms?" Asked Assassin as she went down afterwards. She shut the hatch and jumped down.
Hiyoko took an oil lamp and lit it, "Yep. You can say I qualify for Assassin class."
She looked quite proud about that but Assassin didn't burst her bubble. The two of them began to move out of the passageway. It was an old dirt tunnel though, probably a hundred years old from the looks of it. It was a wonder how it hasn't been uncovered.
Assassin went on ahead as she had her eye more accustomed to the darkness. She could sense the outside in several dozen more meters. A minute later, they managed to escape and Assassin felt the mansion's bounded field behind her.
She immediately connected with her Master and spoke, "Master, I got her. Start the signal!"
At her request, a bright blue light erupted in the sky.
Berserker should be retreating now if he followed the plan. For now though, Assassin needed to retreat with Hiyoko on tow. The Servant moved to the woman and carried her in her arms, causing Hiyoko to yelp on surprise.
"Wha-?!"
"Hold on! This is the difficult part!" Assassin said as she ran forward.
As soon as she moved, the mansion reacted. Evil spirits were unleashed into the air. They went into pursuit of Assassin as she made a break for it towards the town.
Spirits weaved through the trees as Assassin dashed and jumped to a nearby rock and took the air. She maneuvered with Hiyoko in hand as she turned and avoided a lunge by an evil spirit. The Servant hit the ground and continued running as the spirits took the form of silver wolves baring their teeth.
They were right behind her and she couldn't lose them with someone in hand.
Assassin continued to run before she looked ahead to see a man.
.....
....
...
Assassin passed by you as you watched her come by. Her eye widened upon seeing you there as you looked at her pursuers head on.
"Nice job, Assassin. Now to have my own fun," you said as you tapped your cane against a stone beneath you.
Light shimmered before you and created a barrier which the Evil Spirits slammed against. The wolves were electrocuted by a five layer bounded field with exorcism properties. You felt your magic circuits burn as you smiled upon seeing them dissipate and reform as one.
A giant skeletal spirit loomed over you and screeched as you endured its presence. Behind you Assassin slid to a halt and set down Hiyoko Sakatsuki. She then drew her sword as you created a rune beneath her feet, letting it shine as you held up your cane.
"Fly!" You ordered as Assassin shot towards the evil spirit and sliced through it.
It let out a defeated groan as it broke apart, leaving Assassin to land on the ground. She turned and met your gaze before bowing.
"You didn't have to come," Assassin said as she faced you.
"I want to see the fireworks up close," You told her with a nod, "Berserker has retreated. We better leave."
"And Miyu?" Assassin asked.
"Safe," you replied as you walked up to a Hiyoko Sakatsuki. She looked like a grown up version of the girl you've been protecting, the family resemblance certainly was there.
"Hello, Miss Sakatsuki," you greeted her with a kind tone as you approached her, "I know things are confusing now, but we must be off. Miyu is waiting for you."
The woman stared at you before her face turned red. Holding her hands to her cheeks she turned away.
"D-Dandy man..." Hiyoko sharply breathed as she tried to hide her blush.
You blinked in confusion at that.
Turning to Assassin she simply gave you a disapproving look, "I see. So it's not just me."
"What's that supposed to mean?" You asked her with a confused look.
Assassin said nothing and simply clicked her tongue. Before the two of you, Hiyoko managed to gather her composure and calm herself.
"I understand, sir. Please take me away," Hiyoko said with a bright smile.
