Damn, she's not only homicidal, she horny homicidal!

To the people who were sus of Minerva earlier in the thread, you were right.

Ophelia narrowed her eye and sighed, "They're the same."

Sakura blinked and glanced her way, "What do you mean?"

"Assassin and Hans. They're too similar. That's why they could fight so well alongside one another," Ophelia said as she held her right eye, "After ten years, perhaps he's found the Heroic Spirit that would match him perfectly..."

Huh. It's starting to click - both of them are giant dumbasses with survivor's guilt and self-destructive tendencies! No wonder they so stupid for each other!

"Overseer. I have a request."

Caren turned to her and raised an eyebrow, "Yes?"

"I can't go on in the next few battles... But that Outsider is still at large. Do you think I can lend a piece of myself for that man to use?" Ophelia asked with a low chuckle.

"I see. So you have a death wish as well," Caren noted as she crossed her arms.

Not you too Ophelia! Man, she's really going all out for Hans. Like he's her nakama or something.

[] "You talk too much. Do what you have to do and you better hope I don't get out of here."

You grit your teeth as you glared her way, "You talk too much. Do what you have to do and you better hope I don't get out of here."

"Well... On the off-chance that you do, I'm looking forward to it," Minerva said as she walked away from you, "I expected to hit a nerve there. Seems like the last ten years have steeled you a bit."

You grit your teeth as you could only watch her leave. You leaned back on your seat and cursed under your breath. You can't break free or move, the slightest flow of magical energy through your body would cause your tongue to explode.

Sticking it out, you could see a mark upon it. A curse. It seemed like it was some sort of juvenile hex but it seemed amplified depending on the power channeled through it. You grimaced and found yourself in a worst off situation than before.

Your body wasn't in good condition either and you felt that things were only get worse if you let things continue like this. Not even a break, huh? The world was really trying its hardest to fuck you over. Once Manaka was dealt, Minerva slid in to take the spotlight. It's just one after the other with them but if you were Minerva you would have done the same.

Striking at the moment people least expected was the oldest trick in the book. You all got so caught up surviving the Blackened that you forgot about her. Spending your energy left you unguarded at that one crucial moment, a decision that you had to pay as were now. This would leave the others shaken with you taken out of the picture in one move.

Knowing Chiyome she would be looking for you and the others wouldn't risk putting Miyu in danger any further. That would split their forces out and while you knew that Artoria was strong, you're uncertain if she could fight a defensive battle with so many people behind her back. It was happening again.

This exact situation haunted your dreams in the past. You cursed under your breath while closing your eyes. This... Was a pretty bad situation, huh?

Artoria drove the black sedan Caren had called in. With a simple hypnotic suggestion, Luvia was able to commandeer the car from the driver, allowing Artoria to take the wheel and drive them back into the city. Caren suggested going back to the Church but Sakura shot the idea down, pointing out that Minerva would have expected them to do so.

Which was why Luvia suggested that they drove towards an Edelfelt safehouse East of the City and regroup there. Miyu was quiet during the entire trip, no doubt thinking about the loss of Derrinsmith and Assassin's lone hunt. Artoria felt that she should have gone but she had other duties to accomplish, namely towards hunting down the Outsider whom was calling in these Blackened Servants.

Not only that but when she rescued Ophelia within the Pyramid, she caught a glimpse of the enemy that laid within. She only knew her as Kirishima Ayumi but the girl there was clearly not the sleeping maiden she had crossed upon back at the Church. Artoria grimaced as she felt a memory that wasn't here tug at her mind.

"Eyes on the road," Caren intoned, causing Artoria to avoid wrong turn.

"We should be close now," Luvia said as she looked out ahead.

Artoria glanced at the rearview mirror and found Sakura looking at her, only for the latter to look away. She sighed and said, "You did well tonight, Sakura. I'm sure you'll have a story to tell your niece at the end of this."

"I-Is that so?" Sakura blinked before smiling lightly. She then raised her head and said, "Still, it's far from over. Not with the enemies we still have left."

"Indeed. Until the last Blackened is killed or the final Servant is announced, the War isn't over. Ironically, Christmas has yet to pass... This night felt like it's gone on for far too long already," Caren said as she looked out the window.

Artoria grimaced and said, "Indeed. Most Wars tend to last this long, especially on nights such as this."

Miyu held on to Sakura's hand and squeezed hard. The only thing on everyone's minds was on how to end this War for good. In the end, the only people left fighting were those who were swallowed by the battles, hoping to grasp that Wish, and those struggling to escape it. Miyu recalled looking at Assassin's back and regret not stopping her.

If she could, she would turn the car back and call for her.

"Please... Someone... Anyone," Miyu prayed as she held Sakura's hand, "Protect Hans and Assassin."

Sakura and Luvia exchanged looks before the former held Miyu close to hug her.

At the same moment, Luvia's phone rang. She frowned and picked it up, earning her a look from Artoria. She then noticed that she didn't recognize the number, making her hesitate in answering it. However after a moment, she did and placed it near her ear.

"Who is this?" Luvia questioned with a grim tone.

"Is this Lady Edelfelt? This is an Employee of Mr. Derrinsmith! We were the ones tasked with protecting Mrs. Sakatsuki Hiyoko. We can't reach Mr. Derrinsmith at the moment so we deferred to a number he left with us. We need your help, we are being attacked by a Luctworth Agent and her Servant. Please be warned! Send this message to Mr. Derrinsmith as fast as possible!"

"Sakatsuki? Wait, hold on, where is this? Hans is missing at the moment-" Luvia spoke in return, causing Miyu to look her way with wide eyes.

"The coordinates are in a message automatically sent after this call! Pleas-"

Caren had heard enough and spoke, "Artoria."

"I know," Artoria replied as she placed the car's stick in reverse and turned it around.

"This is within the residential area, southward of the City. Minerva's quick on her feet. First Hans and now Miyu's mother?!" Luvia growled in frustration, "She's not leaving any moment for us to regroup!"

"Mom... Is Mom okay!? Miss Luvia!" Miyu cried out as Luvia gave her a helpless expression.

"She'll be fine... We just have to get to her," Sakura assured Miyu while holding her close, making sure the girl was in her embrace as she looked ahead, "Artoria..."

"Splitting us up like this and performing surgical strikes at key points to keep our footing shaky, Minerva and Saber are drawing upon wild moves at the tail end of this War," Artoria said as she stepped on the gas, "Hold on tight and prepare for battle!"

Assassin was left to hunt alone. She searched the city high and low before stopping on top of a building where she had a view of the city. It was such a peaceful world this modern era... If only the masses knew of the battles that were happening behind the scenes. They wouldn't be so happy, they wouldn't be so ignorant... Chiyome felt her curse bubble within her before she gasped and fell down the ground.

It was... Feeding off her anger, her rage and her guilt. It was stronger, far stronger than she could ever imagine it to be than before.

It was all because Hans taught her how to keep it from consuming herself and instead she be the one doing the consuming instead. Her self-loathing and guilt vanished upon dueling the fragment of Orochi in her blood and winning, now the curse gave her strength. She looked at her hands and noticed that they were partway becoming claws, her exposed flesh bearing black scales resembling a snake's while her eyes refused to return to its normal human one.

Slowly but surely, the Curse was turning her into something else.

An ideal form for one blessed instead of cursed by Orochi.

"But even with all this power... I still failed him," Assassin whispered as she held her shoulder with her hand.

She blinked and looked down to see that the azure gemstone given to her by Luvia was lighting up. Providing it with the necessary Magical Energy, she then heard Luvia speak.

"Asssassin, can you hear us? We found Minerva. She's trying to take Miyu's mom. They're at a safehouse in the residential region on the city! Meet us there f-"

The line cut off but Assassin knew where her prey was. However a chill went down her spine as a voice spoke beside her, causing her to tense up.

"Are you going?" a girl's voice asked.

She turned and came face to face with Manaka smiling at her. Assassin instinctively reached for her sword and stopped, "You... What do you want?"

"I know where Hans is. He's locked up in a Warehouse at the Pier. That savage Doll left him there to go cause mayhem elsewhere. You might be able to go rescue him while she's gone," Manaka said with a mischievous smile.

"How do I know you're telling the truth?" Chiyome snarled upon drawing her blade and raising it at the girl before her.

"Assassin... Oh Assassin, Assassin, Assassin... You and Hans are just perfect for one another. You're more similar than you think which is why I thought poking you would give me some nice reactions as well. I have no reason to lie and besides, my Eyes see all," Manaka said as she spread her arms, "Finding him is a trivial task. So you should go ahead and run along now."

Assassin narrowed her gaze and remained silent.

Manaka had an idea and giggled, "Or... Do you want me to rescue him myself? Because if I do, I'll just lock him up as well... And believe me it'll be much harder for you to take him from me if that happens."

[X] Go and find Hans. He was more important right now.

Catch 22. To rescue one means abandoning the other. In the face of that choice, I'm going for Hans; while Manaka is less likely to hurt Hans, I completely believe her about her capturing him herself.

[X] Go and help the others. Assassin had no reason to trust Manaka now.

Not really sure what to pick exactly. My instinct told me to vote for Miyu. My reason told me to vote for Hans.

I went with my instinct.

[X] Go and find Hans. He was more important right now.

Assassins are best kept staying away from straight fights. Especially when the other side has someone with a conceptual advantage against them.

Artoria and co can handle Saber and/or Minerva's minions. Hans doesn't have any help besides Chiyome and Manaka. And I know I'd prefer the former over the latter.

Wait she summoned Arash and Hoenheim 2 of the best servants in the class fuck

[X] Go and help the others. Assassin had no reason to trust Manaka now.

Manaka won't fuck Hans as hard as Minerva plus Artoeria will be more likely to help out against the blackened if we help with Saber.

[X] Go and help the others. Assassin had no reason to trust Manaka now.

I mean everyone is going to deal with manaka anyway so hans being in her 'care' is just killing two birds with one stone right?

Assassin grimaced before walking to the direction of the pier. Manaka smiled as she held her hands behind her back, "Of course you would look for him. It's only natural since birds of the same feather flock together. However you must know that there's consequences for these sorts of decisions."

"Shut up," Assassin hissed as she glared at Manaka.

"It's funny... I had the same eyes too. Girls like us would fight for our beloved no matter the cost. It's nice to see a kindred spirit," Manaka said as the wind blew harshly over them. Assassin vanished and moved to pursue Hans, wherever he may be, leaving Manaka alone as she held her hands behind her back.

Two Blackened Servants appeared by her side as she giggled.

Artoria and the others stepped out to see a ravaged residential district. Burning houses and overturned cars were there to meet them as people ran to the opposite way they came from. A bounded field had been set up beyond where she stood before she grit her teeth. That Minerva was truly going all out causing this much trouble, wasn't she?

"Let's go!" Sakura said as she slung her quiver behind her and held her bow. Ophelia followed as she released several familiars into the air.

Luvia moved alongside her while Caren pulled Miyu along. Artoria stepped forward nd her dark suit changed to that of her blue armor as she moved past the wreckages and burning houses. She passed through the bounded field to see the ground shifting and the signs of battle being more brutal. Artoria saw a large figure stumble out of a home, wrought from steel concrete and dirt.

It was fueled by what looked like an implanted Magical Core consisting of three layered miniature bounded fields within its frame. It would be apt to refer to it as a Junk Golem given the materials which built up its entire body. It took notice of the group before roaring loudly and slamming its arm into the ground, gathering materials from the concrete and pulling it up.

It then dragged the gathered materials in its hand along the ground before throwing it at Artoria's group. Fortunately she was faster than the projectiles and cut them down before they could fall. For a Heroic Spirit, such attacks were no better than wet paper to her. More Golems seemed to rising and showing themselves, numbering along the dozens as Artoria grimaced to see them emerge.

"I'll handle these ones," Artoria sighed as she glanced at Luvia and Sakura.

"I have visual of Hans' safehouse. Minerva is there. We should hurry," Ophelia murmured as she leaned against a nearby car.

Caren steadied her and said, "Perhaps it would be better for you to stay here with Artoria."

"Right," Ophelia breathed as she held her eye, "Hurry."

Sakura glanced at Artoria, the later nodding as she readied her blade as the golems stepped in. Luvia pulled Miyu along as Sakura took the lead to circumventing the Golems while Artoria approached the incoming band of monsters. It was just one after the other tonight. She looked at the numerous foes that laid before her and got ready.

"Come!" Artoria roared as the Golems howled and charged at her all at once.

Landing near the pier, Assassin looked ahead. It was close... She should hurry. Dashing forward, she hopped over a fence leading into a compound filled with numerous warehouses. She should be able to track down Hans once she got close to him. However right now, she was noticing an odd sensation in the air.

The closer she got to the warehouses, the more she took notice of it. It was... Dread. Assassin raised her gaze to see someone step out to meet her. A tall man dressed in dark blue kimono. His muscled chest was exposed as he kept his right arm bare, holding on to his sword as he kept his his head low beneath his wide brimmed hat.

Assassin caught a sight of his eye and saw it crackle.

"About time you got here, little Shinobi. I was wondering if you'd ever show up," Saber spoke as he took off his hat and tossed it aside, "Well, what matters was that you did."

"Saber," Chiyome whispered as she watched him hold on to his blade by his side.

"Your man is just behind me. Though to get to him, you'll have to go through me," Saber said as he smiled and spread his arms, "It's just you and me this time. No Masters, no gimmicks, no Command Seals... Just a good old fashioned fight to the death. Do you understand, Shinobi?"

"Let me pass, Saber," Assassin replied as she grit her teeth, "Or else I will kill you."

Saber's lips twitched in his smile, "Ah, that won't do at all. Nope. Not at all. If you can't fight in a clear head then you're no better than a Snake... Snakes after all are incomplete Dragons."

Chiyome held her sword behind her as her body tensed up.

"Fine. If you want this to be a rematch of last time then I'll show you exactly how I beat Orochi. Come, Shinobi!" Saber roared as his body surged with Magical Energy.

The wind began to pick up and grow violent. The waters by the bay churned and rolled as lightning danced in the heavens. Assassin drew her own blade as Saber drew his. Wind howled and screamed as the two of them glared at one another, Chiyome's bloodlust peaking as she dashed first and ended up clashing with Saber.

There was a loud clang followed by Thunder screaming in the sky.

"Do not hesitate!" Saber snapped as he shoved Assassin back. His movements became inhumanly fast. This was the same speed he used against Beowulf on the first night.

Assassin was forced to predict his attack and parry it. Sparks flew and she survived one blow from Saber before she struck back, their exchange culminating into a flurry of blows. Chiyome felt her posture break as Saber kicked her knee down and smash her face with the pommel of his sword, sending her tumbling to the side.

She gasped and evaded being cleaved in two before performing a blindingly fast strike to the side but Saber simply blocked it. Sparks flew as Assassin managed to smash her foot into his stomach before kicking away. She slid on the ground as she struggled to catch her breath.

The winds howled as Saber held his sword and channeled his magical energy. Opening his eyes, they were filled with lightning as he cut through the air. The compound vanished and Assassin was swallowed by a vicious gray cloud. She grit her teeth and stood her ground until all manner of sounds ceased.

When she opened her eyes, she was no longer at the pier.

" Land of Origin (Ne-no-kuni)," Saber declared as he stood among flowers of bright white and of unknown origin. They were otherworldly and mesmerizing to behold as Susanoo stood among them, "This land was one I conquered a long time ago. Father banished Mother far away and I sought to be close to her. I remained here and ruled so that I may watch over her and prevent her from leaving her prison."

A bounded field? No... It was more a Reality Marble.

Susanoo turned his gaze towards Chiyome, "This place will be your grave, Assassin. There's no coming back from here. I'll bury you here."
