(Fate Accelerated) Centerpiece Fantasy: Divine Heroes

..Oh God, everybodys making magic slingers ;-;

Is Duine gonna be on a team full of filthy magicians?!

Acheria is an illusionist, sure, but for a weapon she'll have a crossbow. It's amazing the rate of fire when you have two extra hands.

Fixed.

I'm open for any changes you want, this was all hammered out pretty fast so it's not quite my best work.
It's all good. Some things seem unlikely, but since "unlikely" is the word that perfectly describes all player characters so far, I have absolutely no troubles with the concept. However, after pulling that sword out of the ground and leaving her home island behind, how long was she traveling?

Can aspects share with one another, or do they each have to be completely unique? For High Aspect and a regular Aspect. Say, could somebody have their high aspect be like Eternal Cloud Pirate, while one aspect is Unaging?

On the subject of stunts, could something be both a stunt and an aspect? Or do they have to be seperate?

They probably can, but why would you do that? Having "Eternal Cloud Pirate" already means you are "Unaging," so having both makes the latter unnecessary. This would be a waste of an Aspect slot.
Aspects and Stunts must be separate, yes.

@Tada Taro, do all Primal Gods count as Divine? Would the Concept of Rejection of the Divine, Supernatural, and Magical be too much? It actually sounds confusing now that I say it.. Rejection of Divine would mean Rejection of itself :V Perhaps Negation?

I was just wondering, and if so, what about the Rejection of just Supernatural and Magical?

Like, a Primal God that embodies the concept of "Rejection of the Divine" would be a walking paradox since a Primal God is by its nature a Divine creature, while a Primal God whose concept is "Negation of the Divine" would be paradoxical as well because its ability to enforce such a concept is essentially what makes it Divine in the first place. It would either be one of the weakest creatures in existence or eradicate the reality itself through its sheer presence.

You must understand: Primal Gods are the top-dogs. They are called Gods for a reason. Primal Gods exist above the common sense or magic. They simply are.

Got it.

...

..Maybe I should think a little more before putting one inside Good!Duine's head? ..Nah, what's the worst that could go wrong? I'll do Rejection of Magic and/or the Supernatural as it's concept then, if that's alright. Still working the kinks out of the backstory. For example, how would a collection/gathering of smaller supernatural or magic non human tribes and nations interest Mundus? What about a Kingdom of them? What role would an island of fairly powerful human wizards play? And what would they do about a war or rebellion with the two parties near or in their territory?

The Mundus Empire is very human-centric. They are willing to accept other races into their ranks as long as they accept the roles of vassals. Typically, a region that submits itself to the Empire finds itself under new, human-led management. And what the Empire can't absorb, it exterminates completely. An independent nation of non-humans would be considered either a target for the next conquest or an enemy formidable enough to completely extinguish while it is still possible. However, they would consider an island of wizards - as long as the majority of them are humans - a very desirable asset. If the two of those were to stage a rebellion, the Empire would try to persuade the wizards to join their side, and if that fails, declare war on both.

Since at its prime, the Empire had an entire order of Artifact-wielders, most of the conflicts at the time were fairly one-sided.

@Tada Taro Is there going to be a waitlist at all for this game?

I ask because I had an idea, but XenForo eated it, and I've lost a bit of motivation to immediately work on my character. If I show up with an app post December 1st, is there any chance of me potentially getting in as a replacement?

Yes, there will be a waitlist, so I can replace any inactive members during the game.

Oh, and to answer your question Goliaths are typically around 7 ft in height. Looks kinda like this

I have no idea whether seven feet is tall or not. Let me check... So it's somewhere around two meters. Sure, you can go with that, but describe this race in your character sheet, too.

@Tada Taro so would beguiling people's minds with Cleverly wrought illusions be alright, or would it be a different aspect?

EDIT: Also please check my Stunts. I've made some, but I'm new to the system, so they probably need checking.

Name: Ferron Stonebearer Veomigano

Race: Goliath: while Goliaths may have once had a homeland whether it was destroyed or utterly lost to them, they have long since become nomadic. Sticking to tribes and family groups that may reach up to hundreds or by as small as ten they roam the lands trading and fighting for those who with coin and need. There size and strength makes them able fighters and heavy laborers but, their stubborn streak leads to a large number of them being either arrested or executed by the empire.

Appearance-wise Goliaths are between seven and nine feet tall.(2.133600 and 2.438400 Meters) and with skin that ranges from an off-white to something closer a blueish gray. The men are entirely hairless while the women only have hair upon their head, it is often compared to rope as it is relatively coarse and is usually styled into thick dreadlocks or braids. tattoos and piercings are extremely common.

Bio:
Ferron was born to a pair of Goliath mercenaries in the employ of a human nobleman who used them as a kind of peacekeeping force against his subjects which he would randomly abuse and raise the taxes. Ferron didn't care about that and learned the way of the Goliath from her parents, her uncles, aunts, and cousins. As she trained with her family, they came to find that she seemed to have an unnatural ability to commit violence and a strange deftness to her movement but, before she could ply her talents in service to the lord that held her families contact the local populace rose up in open revolt. Ferron eagerly followed her family to suppress the rebellion she found that the thought of squashing these people filled her with an odd sense of dread. After they crushed the revolt and the bodies of the rebels hung from the walls of the fortress, she became overcome with a wracking sense of guilt over what she had done and the lives she had personally taken.

None of her family understood her guilt, and after a week of drowning herself in her guilt and grief, Ferron came to a decision, She was going to kill the bastard noble that held her family's contract allowing her to feel absolved of her guilt and freeing her family from his control. She managed to kill the noble but, she found that her family was...less than pleased. Captured by her family, beaten, and left to die it was by pure luck that she managed to drag herself to safety and eventually her wounds healed enough to allow her to flee the only home she had ever known.

Aspects:
High Concept: Goliath Barbarian
Trouble Concept: Noble Killer.
Secondary Concepts: Merc trained, Tracker, Enjoys Drinking.
Approaches:
Careful:+2
Clever:+1
Flashy:+0
Forceful:+3
Quick:+2
Sneaky:+1

Stunts:
Because I am a Warrior: Gain +2 when Forcefully Fighting something.

It's alright since your high Aspect involves Illusions, you can use it and invoke one of your Stunts to amplify the effect. That can cost you two Fate points though

Edit: your Stunts are fine

@See my smile

You sheet looks fine, but I need you to clarify a few things. One:

The men are entirely hairless while the women only have hair upon their head, it is often compared to rope as it is relatively coarse and is more than, tattoos and piercings are common.

It is often compared to rope and is more than. Than what? I think you've missed a word there.

Because I am a Warrior: Gain +2 when Forcefully trying something.
Because of my Tribe: +2 when attempting something Sneaky.

Those Stunts are too general. Please, add conditions that are more specific. For example:

Because I am a Warrior, I gain +2 when I Forcefully fight someone else.

Otherwise, there are too many things it can apply to.

Roger. I'll make the changes.

How would a being unaffected by magic be handled? Aspect or stunt?

It's always present, so illusions, magic fire directed at it's body, etc. those aren't supposed to narratively work. What do I do?

If it's always active, make it an Aspect. If you can use it only in specific situations, make it a Stunt. That's all.

I hereby formally announce that there are twelve hours left until I make the final decision. That is all.
