I didn't feel like microquoting the previous line. She said just before that "So what if no one thinks you'd make a good Hokage", which is usually said to be the longstanding Uchiha ambition. So if no one thinks he can get it done, it IS a problem for them.
Ouch Sakumo must have felt that wherever he is. Damn Zarinthel I enjoy your work in general but I especially admire how you manage to color your MC's perspective and dialogue with their baggage so vividly.

Minato's masterplan is probably more along the lines of 'instead of Kushina and Danzo bitterly fighting over everything while getting nothing done Fugaka and Danzo will fight bitterly over everything while Kushina and I do what we wanted to begin with'.

Yeah, Seiko having to 'take the weight' of clan head after her father let concern over reputation get to him is definitely a point she's trying to make in 6 foot tall neon lettering here. Even Fugaku might be able to pick up on it, as well as finally landing at a possible motive for her helping his clan. Oddly enough, because Fugaku seems to at least occasionally listen to his wife, he and Kushina have about the most common ground Kushina likely has anyone with someone who doesn't share her viewpoints.
Omg this council is gonna be like a house on fire.
Inoichi Yamanaka is totally looking on horror at Shikaku saying "what have you done?"
(Hey, Danzo having enough time to annoy the Nara is too much free time. He's clearly growing bored in retirement now that the wars done and needs some additional enrichment to be added to his life!)

Having read through this over the past two days, I am very impressed with its quality. It has a dwelling power and a subtlety that I rarely see in fanficiction and which reminds me of some of the better novels I've read. Thank you, and looking forward to more.

This chapter felt rather emotionally tender/vulnerable and just a bit cathartic from Seiko's POV. I def relate to the unaddressed resentment towards people important and close to you, so I really hope she gets to heal/let go of all that baggage. She deserves peace and quiet both in mind and body
That plus the thought of Kushina, Fugaku and Danzo together in the Hokage council sounds hilarious. I hope Danzo is súper ultra miserable. Maybe he can get debilitating migraines. As a treat ♡

Going by the Threadmarks, after the opening six chapters, it has taken between one and two months for each subsequent chapter to be posted, except for the occasional month that saw two chapters being released. Seems to me like the story is active as it always has been; we should probably expect the next chapter to come out sometimes next month.

She's actually an author insert, she's just weird about it. Of course, Naruto also has TV and instant ramen and headphones, so trucks might just be a thing in canon too.

I highly doubt that they could. And even if they were, they would clearly not be in sufficient quantity to become a commonly used comparison.
Such technologies were shown in Naruto almost in isolated instances.

In the Wave arc you could see trucks and other vehicles in the background of what would become the Great Naruto Bridge. And Wave was supposed to be uber-poor, so they must be fairly common and just not relevant to Ninja who can travel faster and stealthier on their own.

That's kinda how I see it, civilians use vehicles and guns while shinobi don't need to due to being able to use chakra making them faster and stronger.
