Fall Writes

wait. how does that even?
Young, anti-social computer programmer Elliot works as a cybersecurity engineer during the day, but at night he is a vigilante hacker. He is recruited by the mysterious leader of an underground group of hackers to join their organization. Elliot's task? Help bring down corporate America, including the company he is paid to protect, which presents him with a moral dilemma. Although he works for a corporation, his personal beliefs make it hard to resist the urge to take down the heads of multinational companies that he believes are running -- and ruining -- the world.

so, over the past week and change, I've been writing lots of a particular Final Fantasy X/X-2 fic. it's got a strange format: the chapters are all written in multiples of 200 words (usually just 200, sometimes 400), based on unconnected prompts. somehow it has a plot. somehow the characterization works. it's got lots of self-indulgent worldbuilding, and features a super slow burn pairing. if that sounds like your cup of tea, head on over here (link leads to my Ao3 profile) and take a look. (heed the tags, please. Yuna punches herself in the face with her own grief. a lot.)

also friendly reminder that my Naruto multi-world rp could use some more people in it. :)

So fall, did you end up seeing Mr. Robot?

Whether you have or not, let me shill the latest thing I've fallen in love with, a youtube show called Thrilling Intent, by these guys.

Great series, don't want to spoil anything. If you do watch it, word of warning, the first 4-10 episodes or so aren't of the highest quality. Really, I would say it's just the first 4 that are the worst, but hey. Better to create a buffer for your expectations.

you know, I've heard this before. as I remember, @LostDeviljho watches this as well. I may have to rabb.it at some point.

Also, have you seen Westworld yet?

nope!

Where is the list anyways?

I don't think it's been written down just yet. I know we've got: FMA Brotherhood (on E5 I think), JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (currently through two seasons), most of the Naruto movies (excepting Blood Prison and Last; I've seen Road to Ninja but it deserves rewatching), and there's some things LDJ is gonna try talking me into watching. Pacific Rim, for example.

good series to watch if you're being a show detective.
Edit: What I mean is that it's full of detail and mystery, and you have to really think if you want to figure stuff out (except for the last couple of episodes which lay things out for viewers). The reddit is pretty good, but chock full of spoilers at this point.
It's on a sticky note on my computer.

I'd transcribe it but I'm on my mobile rn.
In that case, we should totally make a list here. (to be updated when LD gets on his computer)

Stuff for Fall to See:
Thrilling Intent
FMA Brotherhood
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Given what I know of you, you would enjoy part 4. But after you've gotten the basics of stands, you only really need a summary for JoJo)
Naruto Movies
Pacific Rim
Fate
TTGL
Rolling Girls > PMMM > Symphogear

Dammit, I was doing family stuff offline.

Well, at least I only missed Yuri not TI. I want to see how quickly Fall falls into shipping the cast with each other.

Yuri On Ice was quite literally the gayest thing I have ever encountered.
And I know Fall. :V
