The dead tree copy is being released around the end of this year, and the PDF version is already available to backers. Working off of that, I'd eyeball a public PDF release as being within about three months of the dead tree release. Then again, the Kickstarter updates say that the final PDF copy is in proofreading at the moment, so it may very easily be sooner.

Staff Notice: Calling another user a 'fucking hack' is not how we want discussion to proceed.
I see my initial restraint and inclination towards politeness may not have conveyed my point.

Attribute the goddamn quote you fucking hack. You think I don't recognize my own work?

As for the more fun question, I... don't know wen DBs for everyone, but I imagine it would be around the time that the raw text for one of the other DB books is released to backers.

Granted, I haven't been following things closely.

I'm so sorry to hurt your feelings, you thin skinned little girl. Would you like a rattle, to make yourself feel better?

Nevertheless, I never claimed it was my work. Neither did I imply it.

This, Accelerator. This is the problem with you. Someone objects to you deliberately obscuring credit on their work. And you respond with personal attacks, like you're the victim. You do nothing but pester these threads endlessly for responses and help, and then you insult and attack the same community you endlessly nag for assistance while not doing the most basic of research.

Stop being like this. Stop pestering, stop nagging. When you get called out, don't instantly escalate to wild ad hominems. Give people credit. Read stuff on your own. Don't attack people and then ask them for help. And don't attack the same people giving you help like it makes you cool. It doesn't.

And don't use sexist insults.

Quoting yourself and then not attributing the next quote to the real author makes it look like you're quoting yourself, thief

you had to DELIBERATELY delete the attribution when you quoted it.

stop @Accelerator, failing to attribute another user's work and then condescendingly insulting them when called out on it is not, at all, how you conduct yourself civilly in a discussion.

Take 25 points and a three-day threadban. You need to stop doing things like this.

@samdamandias, while I appreciate the circumstances, calling another user a 'fucking hack' is also not how you conduct yourself civilly in a discussion.

Given your lack of prior history, this time I am giving you a Staff Notice and a one-day threadban to cool off.

So, out of complete curiosity, has @EarthScorpion ever released some sort of map or visual aid for his expansion to the South West? I was rereading it recently and was having trouble keeping track of all the locations in terms of where they were relative to each other.

Seriously. I teach English and History to 12-16 year olds - this is exactly the kind of thing that ends in me sending homework back to be redone because a student doesn't know the difference between research and plagiarism.

@Accelerator's account has been indefinitely suspended pending administrative review.

Are any of the premade adventures any good? I'm trying to get some friends to play and since none of us have before I figured a premade adventure would be easier

Has anyone seen the post about making mass effect races into first circle demons?

I want to stat them up. But the search function is fucking with me
I've worked on making them Primordial races driven from Creation like most of the nonhumans after the Divine Revolution.

They're firmly OK. The Ex3 one has a great primer in it that shorthands the rules more. They won't be as good as an experienced GM doing their own story, but it'll be fun if everyone likes each other and just wants to play Exalted.

I've played through the 2E Tomb of Five Corners.

It's not bad, as long as you use the pregenerated characters that come with it. It's very firmly designed with that specific set of characters in mind; there are challenges at various points that are easily overcome by one of the pregens using their listed capabilities, and which none of the other characters have a good solution to, there are rewards for each character that happen to line up neatly with what would be useful for them to have, and the plot, insofar as it exists, is based around them being a circle that reincarnated and met up.

If you throw a random collection of starting characters into it, you could easily end up in a situation where one guy can solve every challenge by himself without needing the others, or where there's a challenge that nobody has the tools to solve, or where they get to the end of a tomb and find a decent daiklaive and everybody shrugs, because they all bought better artifact weapons in chargen, or what have you.

What the hell is going on here? Accelerator is using links to specific posts and quoting but not inserting the name and people are freaking out? I've not gotten the impression he is plagerizing work, especially when he has a link to the post. Why are people getting upset. Sometimes you copy and paste and press the quote tab rather then go to each individual post and press quote and then copy and paste.

But if you are posting links to the actual post how can you be accused of plagiarizing... if people click the link they see who wrote it. The quoting is just shorthand hand so you don't always have to click the link to read the content. Seriously requoting and linking is bringing more attention to your work. What is with all this over inflated drama? Why call someone a hack? Is it a surprise when someone's insulted they respond back?

As a relatively new poster here why is there so much drama here, especially to new and infrequent posters? This is not how you grow a community come on...

Going into attack mode when you get called out on bad behavior again is also not how you grow a community.

Accelerator is not a new or infrequent poster, and this is far from the first time they've behaved poorly and feigned apparent confusion on why everyone is "so mean" to them.

People don't like Accelerator; that colours their reactions to everything he does or fails to do.

As for why people don't like Accelerator, Kaiya explained it pretty well.

As for why there's so much drama here...well, it's Exalted.

If this was his first time doing something, no one would have cared. But it's about the 50th time he's done something people find upsetting, and reacted by lashing out as hard as he can, so people are done with it.

The fact that you're new here means that you're not getting the whole picture. Accelerator is... not to snipe, but he has something of a reputation. The fact that there's an independent Exalted Questions thread is partially due to him, and he had a habit of not taking criticism well. Especially when that criticism boils down to 'Try thinking about these inane prompts for once instead of filling the thread with them and expecting us to do all the hard work of turning them into a usable idea', which was often basically what he was doing. That, combined with the fact that he's been dinged a couple of times for linking pirated material, and his occasional dustups over in N&P, means that he's been on thin ice for a while. This is not so much a severe reaction as it was the straw that broke the camel's back.

How long has Accelerator been here? I assumed he migrated from he Onyxpath forums when he started indexing the Demons a few months ago.

And I mean I see other drama, like when Holden showed up with his hands up saying no drama please.

Years, last I checked. I got into Exalted here around 2016, I think, and he was already a well-known presence.

I can see posting pirates links as an issue. But the other stuff I don't know...

I mean the Onyxpath is way more Draconian then here and they haven't banned him as far as I know.

Haha okay I misguessed here.

I'll say this the last few pages though the only thing I saw that was an issue was calling someone a thin skinned girl, which is hostile but it was in response to being called an Effin Hack...

All the other stuff seemed normal conversation.

OnyxPath really isn't draconian, it just has hard lines you can't cross, and then a bunch of other stuff it gives no shits about. SV is more lenient on the things that are against the rules, but has more actual rules to fall afoul of.

Accelerator joined september 1st, 2016. Accelerator's most prolific "sin" is popping up and asking people to read information from the books for them because they had a random idea, and then making a sad face when people tell them to read the books themselves. People are tired of it.
