Syndicate Takedown: The Ryuei Branch of the Syndicate has been dismantled by the Hero League. However, not every member of the Ryuei Branch has been captured. The few remaining members have gone into hiding in Ryuei City and are expected to join one of several villain groups in Ryuei City. Former Syndicate members range from mere minions to dangerous super-powered enforcers. Be on the lookout for such criminals.
Dangerous Duo Crushes Heroes: During the raid on the Syndicate, a number of heroes from both B and A Class were soundly defeated by a mysterious duo of supervillains – a hooded mask man who demonstrated the use of extremely powerful psychokinesis and a blonde woman capable of causing explosions without any visible means. It is unknown at this time whether these two villains are members of the Syndicate or from anther group. Heroes are to be on the alert for these two villains.
Giant Monsters Increased Assault: During the last week, the number of giant monsters attacking coastal cities has increased significantly. Fortunately, heroes such as Planetare X, Grand Blow, and the Chroma Squad have been successful in repelling these destructive threats. However, this rise in giant monster numbers have scientists concerned and many are wondering if this is just the beginning of a giant monster army assault.
Murderman Overkill Loose: Infamous Herokiller, Murderman Overkill has escaped from Superprison. Despite the notorious Superwarden's claim that his prison is inescapable, Murderman Overkill has dealt an irrevocably lethal blow to Superprison's reputation. Heroes and the EDF are on high alert as many still remember the horrific massacre that Murderman Overkill was responsible in Geo City five years ago, during the aftermath of the Cronian Invasion.
Covenant Reveals Truth: In a press conference, a representative from the Covenant of Helivon revealed that Covenant Agents have been sent out in order to rescue an important member of the Covenant who is believed to have been kidnapped by villainous forces. While the Covenant has made rescuing this member of the Covenant, whose identity has yet to be released to the public, their top priority, the Covenant promises to return to their normal duties after a reshuffling of Covenant agents.
...
You stare at the news as the newscaster finishes the story on the Covenant.
"Shit." The Covenant was on the move.
Then without warning, your clothes are suddenly shredded apart and you feel something invisible and soft hugging your naked body from behind. At right at that moment, The Boss comes into the room.
"Oh hey, Lackey D. Anything interesting on the....news?......My apologies, Lackey D. I'll leave you alone." The Boss turned around and left the room, leaving you blushing red all over.
The city is on high alert. Criminal scum are causing havoc. Giant Monsters are terrorising the coast. Heroes are smashing up criminal syndicates. And Miss General is back from another failed attempt to seduce Braveman.
Must be Monday.
With the group growing slightly bigger and Miss Scientist's promise of proper combat capable monsters on the way, things are looking a bit up for RX Group. Despite the problems that plagued you last week, your pro-active attitude has netted you a promotion. Well sort of. You're still a lackey but now you're Miss Secretary's Lackey and that what counts because now you don't have to follow Miss General's orders. You can just say that you've got important work to do for Miss Secretary and you doubt that even Miss General would try and go against the explosive lady.
Your allowance hasn't changed though and Miss Scientist used up her spare cash to make X-kun so no bonus cash this week. But that's okay since you've got access to the cash you got from cashing in that statue from Boriel. Seriously though, that thing should have been worth more. Lousy angels giving everyone statues of himself. 250+50 Mission Fund gained.
Oh, and the Boss has gotten his first paycheck from his part-time job. Part of it has gone into the Base Funds while he's already used the rest to buy some Villain figurines. 35 Mission Fund Gained.
With things still a bit crazy from everything that happened last week, the city is ripe with opportunity for a villain group like RX Group.
Probably.
Maybe.
Something is gonna go hilariously wrong, you just know it.

At least the video's views are in the single digits. Cost: 10. Chance of Success: 100%. Reward: New Recruits of varying quality.
Roll: 32
The video hadn't taken long to make. With a bit of creative editing of the footage of your fight with Braveman, the video was much, much better than Miss Black General's video. The hundreds of views proved it. Everyone, including Miss General, liked it though you think Miss General only approved of it because it painted her in a good light as well as how you framed it so it looked like she was dominating Braveman.
Since it was a recruitment video, potential recruits were able to contact the group through email. Miss Secretary and the Boss were in charge of screening any applications to the group and deciding who would be useful to the group so you didn't have to worry about that. It was several days before the recruitment video paid off.
The Boss had gathered everyone outside where someone had set up a makeshift stage, with curtains acting as a backdrop. Up on the stage, the boss informed everyone that new members would be joining RX Group.
"Everyone, thank you all for coming to this meeting. As you should all know, we've been receiving a number of applications to our secret organisation and after much deliberation and background checks, we will be welcoming three new members to our organisation. Please welcome to our private little club…Lackey E."
"Yo, sup." A guy stepped out from behind the curtains, wearing the typical Lackey uniform. The only real difference that you could see between him and the others was that he was wearing headphones around his neck. He gave of this laid-back atmosphere. "How's everything, people?" He received some polite applauses from the audience, particularly from the other Lackeys who were happy to have another member on their team.
"Next, let us welcome…Lackey F!" The Boss continued. You were starting to wonder why he referred to the Lackeys by Alphabet rather than a proper codename but you suppose that he's just too lazy to do so and it's easier for Miss Secretary to keep track of everyone's account with letters.
"Salutations, my fellow members!" Yet another guy in Lackey uniform appeared, this one wearing a monocle over his right eye. He also had a nice moustache that poked through the mask. He greeted everyone with a cheery wave before bowing when he was at the front of the stage. "It is just grand to meet you, everyone." A more awkward applause rang out across the junkyard as the other members of RX Group didn't quite know how to take this new guy.
"And finally, let me introduce to you all...Lackey G!" The final recruit to join the group was another lackey. This one was wearing a bandana.
"....." The Lackey didn't say or do anything except lower his head slightly in greeting. The applauses this time was very lackluster.
"Everyone, do your best to make these guys feel at home! They'll be joining the sorties tomorrow so take a chance today to get to know them better."
With that, RX Group gained several new members.
Reward: Lackey E, Lackey F, and Lackey G have joined RX Group. Miss General is ecstatic.
Stewardship: Assisting Miss Secretary behind the scenes really illuminates you to how much she's actually able to squeeze out of RX Group's budget. With the small windfall of money you got from selling that gold statue, a number of projects that Miss Secretary had put on hold are now available to be undertaken. Time to expand. (Choose 1)
[X] Boss Overwatch: The Boss got a better paying job but that just means more money for him to waste. You might have cash now but it'll be gone one way or another. Miss Secretary has ordered you to put everything you have at stake here and find a way to keep him from needlessly wasting money on his hobbies! Cost: 50. Chance of Success: 80%. Reward: 50 Income.
Roll: 63
The Boss entered his office, looking around to check if the coast was clear. Seeing that nobody was around, he let out a sigh of relief. Lately, Miss Secretary was getting on his ass for buying stuff using the group's funds without permission. Miss Secretary might be his most loyal member and best friend but she simply didn't understand what it was to be a figurine collector.
To the Boss, it was a fun and engaging hobby. Plus, when they were lined up in the glass cases in the office, they made for an impressive decorative piece. Not only that, figurines can't be pirated. Every figurine the Boss had was hand-crafted by a professional figurine maker. Plus because they were handmade, there were few of them and therefore were valuable. The rarity of his limited edition Magmadon figurine was worth the amount of cash he'd shelled out to buy it on V-Bay.
Indeed, just the sight of these figurines of famous villains filled the Boss with pride. One day, he'll get a figurine of his own. Right then, while nobody was looking, there was a rare figurine that he'd been planning to get. With Miss Secretary still angry about that time when he accidentally ate her pudding she'd been saving for later, the Boss had to be very careful.
Powering on his computer, the Boss eagerly went to log onto his V-bay account.
"Eh? Wrong password?" For some reason, his password wasn't working. After a couple of attempts, the Boss started getting worried. "Crap crap crap crap crap, please don't be a hacker, please don't be a hacker."
Clicking on the link to reset his password, the Boss froze when he saw that his secret question had been changed.
What is it that the leader RX Group should not be doing with RX Group funds?
The Boss stared at the words on the screen, in both awe and horror. "......Secretary seriously hacked into my account to keep me from buying figurines?" Suddenly, his feelings burst forth from the unfairness of it all. "What the hell!? I'm the Boss aren't I so shouldn't it be fine if I spend a few dollars to reward myself for all my hard work!? Hmph, impressive, Miss Secretary but you're mistaken if you think this will stop me! I can still confirm my identity with my phone!"
After going through the procedure to have them send a confirmation code to his phone, the Boss waited patiently. Soon his phone alerted him to a new message.
It was from Miss Secretary
"My assistant changed all your account details. Please see me if you want permission to buy stuff that isn't related to RX Group's needs."
"NOOOOOOOOOO!!"
The scream of despair that the Boss let out, was recorded and used in as a screaming sound effect in a video game.
Reward: Boss's spending habits have been curtailed. Income increased by 60.
Diplomacy: Last week was a disaster but there's a silver lining to the whole thing. The Boss and Miss Secretary's exploits have already gotten out in the villain world so now everyone's taking your group a little more seriously. Let's hope the Boss doesn't do anything stupid and piss someone off by accident! (Choose 1)
[X] Sheltering the Syndicate Scraps: Not every member of the Syndicate om Ryuei City got captured. Right now, there's a bunch of scattered goon desperate for a safe place to hide out until things blow over. As a fellow villainous organisation, it's only right that you offer these poor souls the safety of your group. And who knows? They might even like it here in RX Group. Cost: 40. Chance of Success. 80%. Reward: Open up Relations with the Syndicate. Gain a Syndicate favour. Chance of Syndicate members joining RX Group.
Roll: 61
"Eh? I thought we only had three new members. When did we get more?" Miss Black General asked as she looked at the gathered Lackeys. Indeed, there was twice the number of lackeys than there should be, excluding yourself. "Could it be...That my time has come? Ohohohoho! Prepare yourself Braveman! Soon you should face the ever charismatic me and no doubt fall for my charms that are able to attract minions with ease!"
The Former Syndicate Goons and the three new recruits stared at their boss with heavy concern while the three original trios simply sighed in exasperation. One of the goons tapped Lackey A on the shoulder. "Hey...A, right? Is this normal?"
"Yeah, don't worry about it. This always happen." Lackey A replied in a tired tone. It seems no-one had told Miss General that a number of low ranking Syndicate Members had been transferred over to RX Group as a reward for helping some higher ranked members escape from the Hero League Syndicate hunt. Sort of.
The Syndicate had been gracious enough to make a deal with RX Group. In exchange for allowing Syndicate goons to work as RX Lackeys, the Syndicate would pay RX Group a significant cash sum in order to pay the wages of the Syndicate Goons. Along with a favour that RX Group could request in the future, it seems that working with the Syndicate would be good for RX Group.
"Alright, men! Let us go and meet Braveman! With you at my side, he will surely see my stunning charisma and fall me!"
"Ahahaha...Please tell me she's kidding. Please senpai."
"Sorry but she's serious. Relax. We just have to make sure she doesn't do anything...stupendously stupid and extract her when she messes up."
"...What counts as stupendously stupid?"
"....Good questions."
Reward: Six Syndicate Goons have joined RX Group. RX Group has a deal with the Syndicate. +100 Trade Income. Increased Relations with the Syndicate. 1 Syndicate Favour gained.
Intrigue: One of the biggest advantages of RX Group was their relatively unknown presence. Now that things have been stirred up a bit, it might be a good time to invest in better security, better information gathering and over all a way to ensure that no-one gets captured in the event of an attack. (Choose 1)
[X] Better Security Measures: You remember how easy it was to just walk through the front door, steal a uniform and hang around the base until Miss Secretary found you and formally recruited you into the group. You can't let something like that repeat itself. Setup security doors, keycards, burglar alarms, secret password phrases, that kind of stuff. Cost: 50. Chance of Success: 60%. Reward: Base Security upgraded. Less likelihood of being caught unaware. Less chance of someone sneaking in without being caught.
Roll: 40
With the sudden increase of RX Lackeys, there had to be a few changes made. Unfortunately, with the exception of Miss Secretary, nobody had any real experience with security systems and the likes. It took much more effort and money, as well as help from Miss Secretary, to set up a decent security system for RX Group.
The front door had been replaced with properly hidden security doors that needed both a keycard and a ten digit password in order to be opened. There were a couple of security cameras that were connected to a small workstation that was manned by the Lackeys who took turns in shifts.
The secret password phrases didn't work out since everyone kept getting it wrong, including the Boss, which resulted in some entertaining mishaps where everyone dogpiled the Boss thinking he was an enemy spy.
Honestly, the security system was alright but against a proper professional infiltrator, it might as well have been a cardboard sign with the words "Beware of Dog". RX Group needs to get a proper spymaster at some point in the future.
Reward: Basic Security Measures have been integrated into the main Base. Chances of someone breaking in without being caught lowered. Chances of a surprise attack on Base lowered.
Learning: Miss Scientist has been perfecting the Monster Creation process along with some other side projects. Miss General's already out trying to test a hypnosis potion on Braveman. With your help, Miss Scientist might be able to finish one of her bigger projects this week. It is time for some mad science! (Choose 1)
[X] Power Armour Up: Miss Scientist has been working on a battlesuit that she claims will allow even a lackey to fight the likes of Braveman on even, perhaps greater grounds. Hell, even if it isn't as strong as Braveman, making a lackey more dangerous is always a plus in your evil books! With you helping, Miss Scientist will be able to get this battlesuit done in no time at all! Cost: 40. Chance of Success: 60% Reward: RX Battlesuit ready for combat! Significantly Increase Lackey Trio's Martial.
Roll: 88
Just like she had done with the unveiling of every major project that she had completed, Miss Scientist had everyone gathered in her laboratory was the presentation of the new RX Battlesuit.
"Introducing the RX Battle Suit Mark 2!" Miss Scientist practically shouted out as she pulled off the white sheet covering her newest creation.
The RX Battlesuit was completed in no time flat. While you did have a hand in its creation, Miss Scientist did most of the important stuff. Powered by a specially made power source, the battlesuit was capable of greatly increasing the combat capabilities of its wearer, enough to make it a threat even to Braveman if Miss Scientist's calculations were correct.
Strength enhancement that would be able to give Braveman pause. Armour capable of tanking more than a dozen direct punches from Braveman himself. Hidden jets that would boost arm and leg movements increasing the power behind a strike. High powered thrusters that would allow limited flight and rapid movement. An inbuilt beam cannon was hidden behind the chest plate and it was capable of blowing up a car with ease.
"Ooooh! Impressive! You've outdone yourself Miss Scientist! This will surely show Braveman just who's in charge around here!" The Boss seemed suitably impressed by the battlesuit as did the other lackeys.
Huh, you hadn't noticed but half the minions are missing and so was Miss Black General. "Where are the others?"
"Oh? That's strange, I thought I asked the boss to have everyone come and see the new battlesuit." Miss Scientist wondered aloud.
"Ah. I knew I was forgetting to tell someone." The Boss admitted sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. "Teehee, sorry!"
Miss Secretary gave the Boss a bland look before clapping her hands around the Boss' head and detonated the air around it - just strong enough to hurt but not do any proper damage. Boom.
"AAARGH! MY EARS!" As the Boss rolled around on the ground in pain, Miss Secretary turned her attention to you and the other minions. The Lackeys here were a mix of the original trio, the new guys and the syndicate transferees so that meant Lackey A, C, E and Syndicate Minion 1,5, and 6 were probably with Miss General.
"Miss General is probably in the meeting room waiting. Come on."
A few minutes later, you, Miss Secretary and the Boss along with the Lackeys and Miss Scientist arrive to find the meeting room empty save for an empty box and an open manual.
"Hmm? No-one's here." The Boss said, stating the obvious.
"Ah! Where did the Mark One go?" Miss Scientist asked as she checked the box.
"Mark one?"
"Yeah, the prototype! I put it in so that I could have enough space for presenting the Mark two."
Suddenly, X-kun appeared from under the table where he had been napping this entire time. "Oh, Miss General and the others took it with her. Something about showing Braveman the awesome power of RX Group." The cat explained before jumping into the box and curling up to continue his nap.
"Oh dear, that's not good. The helmet which contains the most important control circuits for the other parts is still in my lab. Well it's okay as long as the parts aren't detached for some reason." Miss Scientist explained, none too concerned with the current situation. Then a sneaky grin appeared on her face. "I just got a brilliant idea! Without the helmet, the mark one has no chance of defeating Braveman so how about we send the Mark Two so assist Miss Black General?"
"Hmm, yes. That does sound like a good plan. Who shall we send wearing it though?" Miss Secretary pondered. At that questions, the Boss and the other lackeys immediately gathered around both Miss Secretary and Miss Scientist, requesting to be the one to be the first test pilot.
"Ooh, ooh! Me! Pick me!"
"I humbly volunteer for this duty!"
"I wanna be Iron-man!"
"As the Boss, it should only be fitting that I try on the new battlesuit first!"
Miss Secretary sighed and pulled out some straws from somewhere. "Alright, you all know the drill. Shortest straw gets to try on the armour and retrieve Miss Black General."
Lackey F ended up as the lucky pilot for the first ever test and combat run of the mark two RX battlesuit.
...
Braveman could only stare at the devastation before him. The depths which RX Group went to dumbfound him truly was terrifying. Who else would try and attack him with the individual parts of some kind of battle suit, only for each part to backfire horribly injure its users? Only RX Group.
He'd been slightly worried the other day when that troublesome woman appeared with a bunch of new minions following her. Fortunately, the new minions hadn't done anything as he was forcibly caught up in that troublesome woman's delusions before he blasted them all off with a well-placed Brave Punch. And it looked like today was no different.
The rocket gauntlets had dislocated the first minion while the second minion had no way of controlling the rocket thrusters and ended up flying straight up into the air before falling face first back into the ground. Finally, the minion wearing the torso part that might have been able to fire a laser from the chest promptly self-destructed. He honestly felt sorry for Miss Black General's minions. The remaining three were tending to the injuries of the first three while that woman was on her knees crying at the abysmal failure of this mission.
However, Braveman had to admit that whoever designed those bodysuits must be a genius if the minions were still able to move after all the damage they took.
"..Ku. It's...our loss!" Miss Black general cried out as she bemoaned her situation.
"How can you even win or lose if we haven't fought yet?" Braveman said in an unamused tone. It was true, while her minions were getting themselves blown up, she had simply ordered the next one to go and show him the next part. It was clear that the woman lacked pattern recognition.
"...I can no longer resist you...And when a powerless female enemy is captured, there is only one thing to do!"
'Ah, here we go again' though Braveman, recognising the unfortunately familiar tone of Miss General's voice. However, before Miss General could explain what that one thing to do was, something came crashing down from between Braveman and Miss General.
Before Braveman could identify what had just landed, an armoured fist came flying straight towards his face. "GET AWAY FROM THE GENERAL, YOU SCOUNDREL!" Braveman's eyes widened in shock and it almost cost him as the fist suddenly accelerated. Barely dodging in time, the armoured fist grazed Braveman's left cheek. However, the figure that tried to punch him suddenly twisted around in mid punch and suddenly a kick came straight at Braveman. The hero, unable to dodge, blocked the blow. The kick impacted against his arm and Braveman let out a surprised grunt as he was sent back several feets.
"S-Strong! Wait, this is - !"
Braveman was shocked to see that his assailant was someone in a villainous looking battlesuit, one that looked far more streamlined and more advanced than the parts the minions from before had been using.
"Eh?" Miss Black General was confused. Who was this dark tall stranger that had gotten between her and Braveman? "WHO DARES INTERRUPT MY FLAG WITH BRAVEMAN!?"
"Miss General. It is I, Lackey F of the Lackey Squad. I have come equipped with the Mark Two RX Battlesuit to assist you in defeating Braveman and retrieve the Mark One Battle Suit. However, it appears that I was late." The armoured figure explained. "It seems Braveman has already destroyed the Mark One. Forgive me for being late, Miss General! I shall redeem myself by defeating Braveman here and now! Now come at me, hero! I, Lackey F, shall defeat you!"
"What?! RX Group actually made a proper battlesuit! No, I see now! So this was all just an attempt to weaken me before I had to face you. Hmph, well you plan failed miserably. Ready yourself villain! I, Braveman, the hero of this city shall not let evil triumph!"
With that, Lackey F in the Mark 2 RX Battlesuit began to do battle with Braveman. Moving at high speeds, the two danced a dance of warriors, heroic willpower against evil genius, steel against flesh, and good versus evil. Fists clashed with each other as the two fought for their own reasons. Braveman, to fully relish the fact that he was fighting a proper villain for once instead of dealing with that woman and her delusions of attraction. Lackey F, to redeem himself as a gentleman for failing to arrive in time to help his fellow members in RX Group whose current state of injury was no doubt because of Braveman.
Miss Black General who watched the fight could only say one thing.
"WHAT ABOUT MY TORTURE PLAY WITH BRAVEMAN!?"
In the end, the fight ended in Braveman's victory as the Mark Two RX Battlesuit began to run out of power and was forced to retreat with the others in tow.
All in all, the effectiveness of the Mark Two RX battlesuit could not be denied. As the members of RX became more skilled at piloting the suit, it would no doubt become an all important asset to the group as a whole. Miss General managed to keep the minions that came with her quiet on how she had them use the parts of the Mark One armour separately and blame its destruction on Braveman.
Reward: RX Battlesuit Mark Two now available for Missions/Sorties. (Grants +15 Martial to minion type character. Grants Hero-unit status to wearer).
Ideology: You're rising up the ranks of evil yet you're still kinda unsure about what being evil is really all about. However, you've got some prime example of evil around you and you oughta take notes from them. Of course, some evils might be better left ignored. At the very least, it'll be a good bonding exercise to talk about evil. (Choose 1)
[X] The Boss: He is the enigmatic leader of RX Group. His true face is hidden behind a white mask. His strength of his power is undeniable. He plans to take over the world to expose its problems to society but what is he really after? What is his exact relationship with Miss Secretary? He is your boss so you should build up your relationship with him. It would surely do you good in the future. Cost: 20. Chance of Success: 70%. Increased relationship with the Boss. Chance of Increased Ideology, Martial and Diplomacy.
Roll: 43
You spent some time with the Boss, mostly consoling him after his loss of access to his computer and his V-bay account, despite the fact that you were the one responsible for doing so. Figuring out the Boss' password was easy since he kept them on post-it notes around his computer's monitor. You informed him of this and since then, he's taken the time to fully memories his passwords in order to prevent someone from accessing his stuff online.
He didn't blame you for taking about his online shopping privileges. He knew that Miss Secretary had been nagging him to stop buying figurines but as a true collector, he just couldn't do it. He did greatly appreciate the gift you gave him, a bunch of old superhero and supervillain figurines that you got from a garage sale.
He was even happier when he found that one of the action figurines was, in fact, a ultra-rare super limited edition figurine of a former villain before they had gone straight and became a hero.
Reward: Improved relationship with The Boss.
Personal: You've got some free time to spare after you've done your chores and assigned duties. (Choose 1)
[X] Physical Conditioning: You're weak. You know that without your powers, you're actually weaker than the other minions. You need to get stronger, faster and build up your stamina. A strong body is essential to surviving as a villain, in your opinion at least. Cost: 10. Chance of Success: 90%. Reward: Better Stamina. Progress towards Trait. ???

You had Miss Scientist make some protein shakes to help you build some muscles while you were training. What you never expected was Miss Scientist to not only do as you had asked her to but she also added her own secret formula into the mix as well.
You hadn't noticed anything until one of the other lackeys pointed out that you were getting taller and growing more muscles.
Whatever Miss Scientist did to the protein shakes was making you buff like hell. By the end of the week, you had grown so much that not only were you pretty much unrecognisable from when you first arrived, your suit no longer fit you.
Fortunately, it seemed Miss Scientist had predicted that this would happen and made you a brand new suit.
However, it turns out that whatever Miss Scientist gave you was one of her old experiments. She'd never found someone to test it and it had been a long time that she'd forgotten the formula, meaning the benefits of the potion she gave you was lost for the time being - at least until she somehow recreated it.
When you came in the next day, to say that everyone was stunned to see the new you was a bit of an understatement.
"Holy Crap! Who the heck are you!?" The Boss exclaimed when he saw you doing some "Did the Syndicate send you? I didn't think they'll send an ultra strong-looking guy like you to our group. Wait, does that mean we don't get to use that favour?"
"....D?" Even the usually unflappable Miss Secretary was surprised.
"Dude! You're like...totally not a Lackey anymore!" One of your fellow Lackeys exclaimed. Indeed, you practically towered over all of them.
"Oh, hey Lackey D. Did you get a new outfit from Miss Scientist?" Miss Black General, however, didn't seem to notice the changes in you besides the new suit.
"Kukuku, aren't you impressed? This is the results of my genius!" Miss Scientist was having fun with the entire thing as well as being happy that her potion worked as she had hoped.
You were very happy with the results.
Reward: Superhuman Augmentation (Body) Trait Gained. New Bodysuit. No longer look like a Lackey.
Today, you've managed to get a number of lackeys and minions together for some group training, mostly to try out squad formations and test their response speeds. For one reason or another, the Boss had opted to join in on the fun. Then while everyone was doing laps, Lackey A noticed a large old bus that was half-hidden in the corner of the junkyard. Curiosity got the better of everyone and with the Boss' powers, the armoured bus was revealed in all its glory.
"Hey Boss, I think this is one of those military vehicle type vehicles!" Lackey A informed the Boss.
"What, really?" The Boss took a closer look at the vehicle in question. It was about the size of a large van. Easily large enough to fit at least a dozen people, excluding the driver. It was definitely armoured and there were burn marks all over it that suggested that it had seen some action somewhere. Letting out a low whistle, the Boss turned back to Lackey A, "So do you think you can get it running again?"
"Do I look like a mechanic?"
"Huh, well does anyone here know how to fix up a military vehicle?" The Boss asked the lackeys and minions.
"Nope."
"I know how to fix a motorcycle...but not a bus tank thing."
"Sorry, no clue."
"HERE YOU GUYS ARE! I've been looking all over for you guys!" Damn it, you thought the Boss left a message saying that he was making sure the Lackeys and Minions were doing their training properly. "Don't you guys know that we've got to sortie right now! Braveman Patrol route has him showing up at the park in fifteen minutes!"
"...Ah! I knew I was forgetting something!" The Boss exclaims. There's no need to ask what he had forgotten. Judging by the way he's rubbing the back of his neck, he's trying to figure out a good excuse for the current situation. "Er...We found the perfect battle vehicle for RX Group! Do you know anyone that can repair it?"
And the Boss decided to change the subject instead.
"Oh? Let me see!" Miss General eagerly makes her way to the armoured vehicle that the other Lackeys and Minions were currently trying to find their way in. The moment Miss General saw it, her eyes lit up with the same look of joy she usually reserved for Braveman. "Oh my god! This is a Herkimer Battle Jitney! One of the finest non-lethal military vehicles ever made!"
Wait, Miss General knew what it was?!
"Oh? Is that - wait, non-lethal? How does that work?" The Boss asked, perplexed by the apparent nature of the Battle Jitney.
"Well, if I recall correctly, it has this powerful electromagnet that can be used to disarm enemies by taking their weapons and metal stuff! Plus it's practically nigh-invulnerable to damage. Even the RX Battlesuit wouldn't be able to put a dent in it! Braveman, being the incredible hero that he is, could definitely damage it!" Miss General explained. You think she's exaggerating but having an armoured tank, even if it didn't have weapons, could be very useful.
"Hmm...You wouldn't happen to know how to fix it, would you Miss General?" The Boss suddenly asked, looking uncharacteristically thoughtful.
"Of course I can! I did a degree in engineering and I was raised by a family of mechanics! Something like an old military armoured vehicle is a cinch to fix up for the great Me!" Miss General proudly claimed. Every Lackey and Minion, including yourself, couldn't help but wonder where she gets all this goddamn confidence.
The Boss seemed pleased however and gestures to the Battle Jitney. With his powers, he lifted the vehicle out from the junkheap that it had been stuck in and placed it right in front of Miss General. "Very good, Miss General! You are to repair and restore this vehicle to back to full working capacity so that it can become something truly worthy of RX Group!"
Miss General stood up straight and saluted her leader. "U-Understood, Boss! I will get right on it immediately!" With that done, Miss General gets started on her orders. "Lackeys to me! Bring me these parts and tools now! You should find them around Miss Scientist's Lab! We'll get this Battle Jitney back into working order for the glory of RX Group or my name is Miss General!"
Unlike all the other times that Miss General ordered you around, this time, she actually sounded not just competent but actually charismatic. The various Lackeys and Minions immediately sprung into action, seemingly far more motivated than normal.
You found yourself alongside the Boss, watching as Miss General seemed competent for once. The Boss noticing your disbelief decides to enlighten you.
"Right, you wouldn't you this by looking at her normally but Miss General is both a huge military buff and has a way with automobiles and the likes that seem almost supernatural at times. It's part of why she's Miss General and not a Lackey." The Boss explained, his voice tinged with a slight bit of nostalgia. It occurs to you again that Miss General has been a part of RX Group as long as The Boss and Miss Secretary. You know little about their relationship with each other - are they old friends, comrades in arms, or are just strangers with a common goal?
It's stuff like this that makes RX Group seem more than what it is.
The restoration of the Battle Jitney takes about the rest of the day with Miss General supervising every part of the operation, even taking on some of the more complex work herself. The Lackeys and Minions all follow her directions and though they mess up at times, Miss General immediately fixes things.
You wonder what Braveman would say if he saw Miss General like this.
Eventually, you and the Boss got bored of watching and headed back to Base to kill some time while Miss General worked on fixing up what would be RX Group's new ride.
Finally, around sunset, the restoration is finished. You had been playing video games with the Boss when Miss General came rushing into the room, tired but still raring to go.
"Miss General! I hereby declare that the restoration of the Battle Jitney has been completed!"
In less than a day, Miss General had somehow repaired a military grade vehicle with nothing more than parts salvaged from the junkyard, and a handful of workers who had never worked on a car in their lives. You were starting to see why Miss General is where she is despite her eccentricities.
Eager to see the results, the Boss headed outside to see the new RX-mobile as he decided to call it. Miss Secretary followed closely behind, curious to see whether Miss General had actually done proper work this time. What you and your bosses see blows your expectations out of the water.
It looked like it was brand new. Its metal armour gleamed with a wonderful polish. The colour scheme now matched RX Group's colours. It's engined purred with power and it seemed to radiate with strength.
Despite it being a military vehicle that would normally need specially made parts, Miss General had been able to jury-rig various replacements using what was available in the Junkyard.
Incredible, considering who was the one that was in charge of fixing up this beast of a machine.
"AHAHAHAHA! With this, RX Group is one step closer to taking over the world!" Miss General proclaimed. A lackey popped his head out from the hatch at the top of the vehicle and gave out a loud cheer in response.
"Ohohoho! Excellent Miss General! Now we can go shopping and carry more stuff without having to bring too many people!" The Boss was most definitely pleased with the result as was Miss Secretary.
"Hmm, I suppose I'll have to make adjusts to the budget to account for maintenance expenses."
"Fufufu, and that's not all I've done. Thanks to Miss Scientist's invention, I've also added a brilliant new function to the RX Battlevan! Now witness its true glory!" With that, Miss General pulled out a remote from somewhere and pushed a button. Instantly, the paint job on the RX battle van transformed.
"....God damn it." You realised that you were the one that said that the moment you saw what Miss General had done.
"Impressed? With special holographic technology, I can make the colour of the RX battle van. I can even add decals and other stuff to show everyone on the streets my absolute admiration for Braveman!"
Indeed, using whatever tech that Miss Scientist gave her, Miss General had changed the black and red colour scheme of the van and made it depict the image of no other than Braveman on all sides of the vehicle.
"Er...Good work! Nobody will suspect that this battle van is the property of RX Group with a cool paint job like that!" The Boss lies skillfully and you couldn't help but agree with him. Nobody would think that RX Group owned a vehicle that had their archnemesis painted on it. Though you get the feeling that the moment Braveman sees the battle van in its current state, he'll probably feel annoyed at how far Miss General goes to show her admiration for the hero.
In the end, Miss General was Miss General. Even if she had unprecedented mechanic and repair skills, she was still crazy about Braveman whether RX Group liked it or not.

RX Group gains Restored Herkimer Battle Jitney, the RX Battlevan. Discovered Miss General's high level mechanical and restoration skills. New Options unlocked.
Syndicate Retaliation - In response to the Hero League attack on the Ryuei Syndicate Branch, The Syndicate has launched several operations on several high profile targets. Several VIPs related to the Hero League have either assassinated or kidnapped. Several League Facilities have been attacked resulting in damages to both personnel and property. Several banks have been robbed in audacious heists. Regular Crime has been on a rise as the Hero League scramble to quell the damage done by the Syndicate's Counterattack.
Ryuei City Reinforcements - Due to the rise in criminal activities as well as reports of a powerful villain in a high-tech battlesuit capable of doing battle with A Class Hero Braveman, several heroes have been assigned to reinforce the forces of justice in Ryuei City. Despite the peace in Ryuei City and low crime rates, the Hero League have predicted that villains will be emboldened by the Syndicate attacks and break the general peace of Ryuei City.
Giant Monster Breeding Season Over - The cause of last week's increase of Giant Monster attacks was discovered to be a once in a lifetime overlapping of several different species of Giant Monsters' breeding season. After the week passed, all giant monster returned to a more subdued behaviour and have left the coastal cities alone. While damages are significant, several monsters left behind substances and minerals that have been found to have many uses in various industries.
Murderman Overkill Recaptured - Notorious Mass Murderer Murderman was recaptured after a standoff in Geo City. Fortunately, Murderman's deathtoll was in the single digits due to the criminal trying to stay low. However, a chance encounter with A-Class hero Unlosing Ranger resulted in a battle that then turned into a hostage situation when Murderman took a young child hostage in a toy shop. The hostage situation was resolved when Vigilante Omen ambushed Murderman and subdued him long enough to be captured by the combined forces of the Hero League and EDF. Murderman will be returning to Superprison which has heavily upgraded its security measures to ensure that such an escape will never happen again.
Princess Punch to marry Trick Master - Long time teammates and Lovers, Princess Punch and Trick Master have decided to tie the ribbon and get married. It was after a trying battle against several Syndicate Executives that Trick Master popped Princess Punch the question. Details on wedding have yet to be announced but due to Princess Punch's wealthy background, it is expected that the wedding will be an extravagant one.
Covenant Agents spotted in Ryuei City - Several Agents belonging to the Covenant of Helivon have been spotted in Ryuei City. A Covenant Representative at a press conference explained that they have followed the trail of their missing member to Ryuei City. The Covenant has assured the public that they will respect everyone's privacy and wellbeing while they continue their search for the missing member. The Hero League deigned not to comment when asked whether or not they will be assisting the Covenant.

Syndicate Missive:
We apologise for not informing you of our plans. However, we assure you that this will not affect our current deal and we will continue supporting RX Group's activities. Please note however that we expect you to deal with the Hero League Reinforcements by yourselves. Considering the rumours that we've been hearing of your organisation as of late, we believe that you should be fully capable of defending against any heroes that the League sends your way. We look forward to the results of your operations. We will, however, warn you that the EDF will soon be setting up a branch in Ryuei City soon. If the EDF are able to set up a branch, villainous activities will surely take a significant blow. You should know what to do if you are a proper secret organisation.
...
You woke up to find yourself naked in bed covered in ghostly lip-shaped markings. Your share a room with the other Lackeys and Minions. You are not amused. Neither was the Boss who was jealous that you apparently got it on with a girl without anyone seeing you do so. The Lackeys and Minions have no memories of last night's actions except for an involuntary shudder every time they try to remember.
Heroes and villains seem to be both stepping up their game. With the EDF planning to step up a branch in Ryuei City and the Syndicate causing trouble all over the country, things are even more chaotic than they were last week. While the Hero League and Syndicate are fighting it out, you have no doubt the other villains will be doing their best to take advantage and move forward with their own agendas.
RX Group would be part of this group if you actually knew what its agendas were. Thus far, you have little idea about how exactly RX Group is going to go about their plans for world domination. However, as it is, such lofty goals are still far and away with RX Group still needing building its foundations. With new members and new weapons, RX Group can now safely say that it is no longer a joke, mostly. Fortunately, Miss General's antics have kept the Hero League from taking RX Group too seriously.
Okay, it's mostly Braveman who refuses to take RX Group seriously outside of exceptions such as yourself and whoever's piloting the RX Battle Suit. Still a good thing since the Covenant has finally reared its ugly head in Ryuei City. This week is gonna be a pain but as long as you don't attract too much attention, they should move on to the grounds trying to look for you.
Hopefully, the reinforcements from the Hero League won't shake things up too much in RX Group's plans.
At least the RX Group is doing a little better money-wise. With the Syndicate helping out your little group, you can breathe a little easier about the bills. 185 Mission Fund Income.
Miss Scientist has been busy ensuring the success of the first true humanoid monster of RX Group so she doesn't have money to give to the cause. Well, here's hoping that what she creates isn't a monster failure! X-kun has been lazing around the base like a normal cat and has taken to bossing around some of the more susceptible lackeys and minions while no-one is really looking.
Miss General is more motivated than usual thanks to her complete restoration of a Herkimer Battle Jitney into the official RX Battlevan. Which you aren't entirely sure is a good thing.
It's another week of villainy for you and RX Group and this week you're gonna get shit done!
Or get blown up trying!
…
425 Mission Fund Available
Martial: Miss General has taken more than half of the Lackey Minion crew out for some hare-brained scheme to show Braveman just how amazing she is and thus win his affection. You can only respond with apathy and take the remaining lackeys with you to do something villainously constructive. You're pretty much the second Combat Commander at this point. Luckily for you, Miss General didn't take the RX Battlesuit with her. (Choose 1)
[ ] Lackey Training: The Lackeys and Minions are woefully undertrained. It's time to fix that. For the next week or so, you're gonna be doing your best to train these group of weaklings to be less of a group of weaklings. Chance of Success: 80% Reward: 30000 funds. Increased reputation with Villain League. Increased Notoriety.
[ ] Assault on Braveman: You need Braveman out of the picture. Chance of Success: 50% Reward: Braveman temporarily incapacitated.
Stewardship: RX Group's finances are holding steady for the time being. However, without an increase in resources, RX Group won't be able to grow into a proper villain group. You need to help Miss Secretary rectify these issues or else RX Group is gonna be stuck where it is right now. (Choose 1)
[ ] Bigger Better Base: With the heroes' awareness of RX Group starting to vaguely rise as well as the influx of new troops, it's time to upgrade the RX Group HQ. Chances of Success: 90%. Reward: Upgraded RX Group headquarters. Less likelihood of Heroes discovering Base. Feel like a proper supervillain.
[ ] A Worthwhile Investment: It'll be hard to get money like this legally plus you can't rely on Miss Secretary all the time for money. Let's get that stable income! Cost: 150. Chance of Success: 60%. Reward: Stable Mission Income. Possibly obtain a place to operate as a Front for RX Group.
[ ] Part-Time Work Force: You have a group of loyal minions, some of which aren't doing anything. Have them go do some part-time work to supplement the budget of RX Group. It'll be better than letting them waste time by lazing around the base like X-kun. Cost: 0. Chance of Success: 50% Reward: 100 Fund Income gain.
Diplomacy: You need help RX Group build connections with other villain groups. Heroes co-operate all the time and while villains are liable to backstab each other, collaborations are fine while they last. (Choose 1)

Lead by the ever-elegant Rose Princess, they seek to take over the world to create a world of elegance, whatever that means. Best put on your best suit when RX Group makes contact with them. Cost: 10. Chance of Success: 90%. Reward: Information on the Rogue Roses. Open up relations with the Rogue Roses.
[ ] Life-Gambling Gangsters: The Mahjong Gang is a large villain group that has control of all major illegal gambling joints as well as the City's Biggest Casino. They are most known for hosting various illegal "games" for their patrons and clients to gamble on, such as illegal cage fights with heroes or challenging heroes to disarm a bomb in time. Those that have angered the Mahjong Gang in the past found themselves in a gamble for their very lives. You don't want RX Group to accidentally tick off these guys so you should risk a visit to make sure of that. Cost: 0. Chance of Success: 60%. Reward: Information on the Mahjong Gang. Open up relations with the Mahjong Gang.
[ ] Supporting the Syndicate: The Belloni Syndicate would like some help with a small something. One of their members had been discovered to be a traitor to their group and that traitor is currently hiding out in Ryuei City. They want RX Group to capture and return this traitor to them. They'll be paying handsomely to do so. It won't be easy since the Hero League has the traitor currently protected but RX Group can handle it. Cost: 50. Chance of Success: 80% Reward: Increase Relations with the Syndicate. 500 Funds.
Intrigue: RX Group is far from being excellent in the spying game but what you have right now works well enough. However, as things are heating up, RX Group will need to be able to make more moves from behind the scenes in order to achieve their goals. (Choose 1)
[ ] Countering the Covenant Capture Crew: The Covenant has followed your trail to Ryuei City. However, they do not know that you've changed greatly since they last saw you. With a bit of work and some luck, you can make it so that they'll never be able to figure out that you're now a member of RX Group. You won't be able to kick them out but you can keep them from finding you. Cost: 100. Chance of Success: 50% Reward: Greatly lower chances of Covenant progressing in their search for you.
[ ] Planning An Escape: In the worst case scenario, The base will be under attack and RX Group will have to abandon the base and escape in order to found a new one. A secret escape tunnel is something that the Boss would say is romantic about being a villain. Plus if your whereabout are leaked to the Covenant, you can always use it yourself and get out of dodge. Cost: 80. Chance of Success:80%. Reward: An escape route is prepared in case the base is attacked. Your escape route is secured just in case the Covenant comes knocking.
[ ] How to Train Your Supercat: You have a cat with the intelligence of a human and the physical capabilities of a full-sized one as well, wrapped in a neat little furry package of feline arrogance and temper. RX Group can't afford freeloaders and being a cat doesn't excuse X-kun from his duties as an RX Member. With his size and innocent appearance, he might make a good spy. Cost:20. Chance of Success: 60%. Reward: X-kun becomes capable of doing spy work. Increase Relation with X-kun.
[ ] It's a Donation, not a Bribe: Perhaps it would be a good idea to make a few 'donations' to local bureaucrats to ensure that once you doing more...questionable stuff topside you won't have to deal with any surprise inspections from the cops...at least for as long as they remember the 'donations'. Cost: 50. Chance of Success: 70%. Reward: Less likely for Law Enforcement to threaten you and the RX Group.
Learning: Miss Scientist has been perfecting the Monster Creation process along with some other side projects. Miss General's already out trying to test a hypnosis potion on Braveman. [ ] RX Group's First True Monster: Apparently, Miss Scientist put an ad in the paper asking for volunteers to undergo the Chimaera Process to integrate traits from existing organisms into a human being to grant them awesome powers. Miraculously someone has answered and is already here. Let's see what kind of powers they want and see if there's animal that can give it to them. Cost: 0. Chance of Success: 50% Reward: Improved Hero (Villain) Unit. Monster Creation Process gets refinements.
[ ] Remaking the Supersoldier Serum: Miss Scientist has begun trying to recreate her Supersoldier Serum and she would like you to assist her in doing so. [ ] Experimental Weaponry Testing: Miss Scientist, during her breaks between working on her big projects, likes to tinker and make all kinds of stuff. Chance of Success: 50% Reward: Minions get equipped with actual weapons

If she likes Heroes so much why the hell is she a member of an evil organisation!? Cost: 10. Chance of Success: 70% Reward: Increased relationship with Miss Black General. Increased Ideology.
[ ] The Grunts: You've been getting along with the Lackeys. Sure you're not particularly close to them but you can at least recognise each of them on sight now. Still, you want to know what's their story is. And how did B get it on with an angel's daughter? You need to know. Cost: 5. Chance of Success: 100%. Reward: Increased Relations with fellow Lackeys. Increased Ideology
[ ] The Mad Scientist: Miss Scientist is in charge of developing and creating new toys for the RX Group to play with as well as making Monsters to terrorise the city. However, you know little about the woman behind the swirly glasses. With her expertise, she could have easily found a bigger, more famous group to join. Why is she here with RX Group instead? Cost: 0. Chance of Success: 70% Reward: Increased relationship with Miss Scientist. Increased Learning.
[ ] The Boss: He is the enigmatic leader of RX Group. His true face is hidden behind a white mask. His strength of his power is undeniable. He plans to take over the world to expose its problems to society but what is he really after? What is his exact relationship with Miss Secretary? Chance of Increased Ideology, Martial and Diplomacy.
Personal: You've got some free time to spare after you've done your chores and assigned duties. (Choose 1)
[ ] Superpower Training - Location Switch: Your ability to switch the locations of two objects is limited in that the objects need to be of similar mass in order for you to make the switch. But is that really the case? Is it possible to bend those rules? You need to find out. Cost: 0. Chance of Success: 60%. Reward: More flexible use of Location Switch. Increased Martial
[ ] Superpower Training - Domain Control: You have what is essentially limited telekinesis, in the form of a small mobile bubble containing the field of influence. After much effort in the past, you can shape it into a lance of sorts to rip stone apart. You know however that you can do so much more. You just need to get stronger. Cost: 0. Chance of Success: Chance of Success: 60%. Reward: Stronger Domain Control. Increased Martial.
[ ] Evil Musing: You don't really get what evil is all about. You know it's about doing bad things but you also know that it is way more than just that. RX Group isn't helping much in working that out so you're on your own there. Cost: 0. Chance of Success: 40% Reward: Better Understanding of Evil. Increased Ideology.
[ ] Knowledge is Power: Learning is something that never ends and you've been feeling the need to touch up on your knowledge base. Miss Scientist has some old textbooks for you to study from as well as some reference books as well. This should help you learn what to do if the doomsday device is malfunctioning. Cost: 0. Chance of Success: 90% Reward: Increased Learning. Possible Increase of Stewardship.
(Choose 1)
[X] Lackey Training: The Lackeys and Minions are woefully undertrained. It's time to fix that. For the next week or so, you're gonna be doing your best to train these group of weaklings to be less of a group of weaklings. It'll be tough since Miss General is liable to leave them in no condition to do training after mission but if you rotate between minion groups, you might be able to hammer in some training into these mooks. Cost: 50. Chance of Success: 90% Reward: Minion Forces less liable to be beaten up by children. Minion Forces become stronger. Increase relationship with Minion Forces.
Roll: 43
The training of the lackeys and minions goes well. A single week isn't really enough to get the minions or lackeys into shape so instead you try drilling in the basics of battle formations and how to punch stuff without hurting yourself, along with some basic tactics that are useful in a fight.
There are some ups and downs, mainly due to laziness from your fellow minions and lackeys but eventually they start getting the hang of things. By the end of the week, you can pretty much just call out a formation and the guys will quickly assume that formation and act as needed. They know how to punch without hurting themselves by accident and they've learnt how to cover each other's back. They also raised their ability to escape from dangerous situation as well which considering the nature of RX Group is a good thing.
All in all, the lackeys and minions of RX Group are now a more cohesive and effective fighting force. Which is really much to say considering how low the bar was but it is better than what they were before.
Reward: Increased combat effectiveness of all Minions and Lackeys.
Stewardship: RX Group's finances are holding steady for the time being. However, without an increase in resources, RX Group won't be able to grow into a proper villain group. You need to help Miss Secretary rectify these issues or else RX Group is gonna be stuck where it is right now. (Choose 1)
[X] Bigger Better Base: With the heroes' awareness of RX Group starting to vaguely rise as well as the influx of new troops, it's time to upgrade the RX Group HQ. Bigger barracks/living areas, better lab, traps, a decent meeting room, and not to mention the need to hide the entrance. Money will make the renovations a lot easier and better. Cost: 250. Chances of Success: 90%. Reward: Upgraded RX Group headquarters. Less likelihood of Heroes discovering Base. Feel like a proper supervillain.
Roll: 17
Expanding the base takes a lot of work due to the fact that half of it is buried under junk and metal. After futilely trying to move enough scrap metal to even begin trying to expand the base on the surface, Miss General in a rare moment of insight suggest that they try expanding the base downwards rather than upwards.
In hindsight, not only was it easier but it was also easier to hide. Of course, it was going to take longer due to having to carry in the construction material into the base. While no one was actually all that knowledgeable about construction work, Miss Scientist was surprising skilled in that kind of work and took to directing everyone in expanding the base.
It takes much time and sweat but eventually, RX Group's base is successfully expanded downwards, creating a fairly basic underground area that still needs to have utilities installed and what not but at least there's now enough space that you and the Lackeys no longer feel crap. The former barracks have been remade into a break room.
Reward: RX Group base upgraded. Still needs some work though. Barracks expanded. Break Room gained.
Diplomacy: You need help RX Group build connections with other villain groups. Heroes co-operate all the time and while villains are liable to backstab each other, collaborations are fine while they last. (Choose 1)
[X] Femme Fatales: The Rogue Roses is an all-female villain group currently operating in Ryuei City. Lead by the ever-elegant Rose Princess, they seek to take over the world to create a world of elegance, whatever that means. While their numbers are only a bit higher than your own group due to their strict membership requirements, they have both resources and connections. These ladies are not to be messed with lightly. Best put on your best suit when RX Group makes contact with them. Cost: 10. Chance of Success: 90%. Reward: Information on the Rogue Roses. Open up relations with the Rogue Roses.
Roll: 31
Meeting with a group of all female villains that are focused on beauty meant that not just anyone could be brought to the meeting. After much discussion and brainstorming, it was decided that only the Boss, Miss Secretary and a lackey in the RX Battlesuit would be going to the arranged meeting. The Boss because he was the boss, Miss Secretary because she was female and quite elegant in her ways, and the RX Battlesuit because no-one could tell what gender the wearer was especially with the voice changer on.
Miss General was upset that she wasn't allowed to join them but conceded after Miss Secretary thoroughly explained why Miss General was not going. After all, Miss General could only be described as the opposite of elegant. She might have a nice figure but her femininity rating was rather terrible all things considered. Everyone else was a dude or not elegant enough. Miss Scientist didn't care and the Lackeys were all Lackeys.
You were just cool but not elegant so you didn't get to go.
When the Boss and Miss Secretary returned from the meeting, they informed everyone that an understanding has been made between the Rogue Roses and RX Group. And to celebrate said understanding, the Rogue Roses were apparently sending someone to act as a liaison in RX Group.
The Boss seemed pleased with the entire thing but Miss Secretary appeared annoyed with the whole deal with the Rogue Roses. You later found out that the Leader of the Rogue Roses, Rose Princess had been impressed by Miss Secretary and her "elegant" and heavy-handed methods of keeping the Boss on track of thing and had tried to recruit Miss Secretary there and then.
Miss Secretary blunt refusal only served to awaken the inner masochist in Rose Princess.
It was apparent that Miss Secretary really didn't want anything to do with the Rogue Roses but thanks to this, RX Group was also doing an exchange of information and resources with the all-female group.
Welp, some sacrifices have to be made in the name of villainy.
Reward: Support Link Rogue Roses unlocked. + 50 Trade Income gained. A new villain unit will be arriving next turn. Miss Secretary is not amused.
Intrigue: RX Group is far from being excellent in the spying game but what you have right now works well enough. However, as things are heating up, RX Group will need to be able to make more moves from behind the scenes in order to achieve their goals. (Choose 1)
[X] Countering the Covenant Capture Crew: The Covenant has followed your trail to Ryuei City.
Roll: 52
It is a very close thing. The Covenant agents had been better than you had been expecting or perhaps you had overestimated your capabilities. During your attempts to throw the Covenant Agents off your trail, there were moments and several close calls where the Covenant almost found you. Luckily, your fellow Lackeys helped you out.
While they didn't know what the deal was with you and the Covenant, they treated the matter the same as they did Miss General's adoration of Braveman. With the numbers on your side, as well as a lack of dignity to care about, you and the Lackeys were able to keep the Covenant Agents from finding you.
It was also thanks to a bit of luck that they managed to lose your trail after you spectacularly crashed the RX Battlevan into the computer server that held some past transactions you had made in Ryuei City before you joined RX Group which would have allowed the Covenant to make some progress in their search.
Of course, doing something so open and daring brought some attention to RX Group but all the other villains assumed that you had done it in order mess up the plans of the Hero League which you coincidentally did by accident.
Still, the only made the Covenant more determined to find you and for the time being, have decided to continue their search in the city. At least it won't be an easy thing for them to accomplish.
Reward: Greatly lower chances of Covenant progressing in their search for you. Drawn the ire of the Hero League by accident due to destroying transaction records of some hero deal.
Learning: Miss Scientist has been perfecting the Monster Creation process along with some other side projects. Miss General's already out trying to test a hypnosis potion on Braveman. With your help, Miss Scientist might be able to finish one of her bigger projects this week. It is time for some mad science! (Choose 1)
[X] Experimental Weaponry Testing: Miss Scientist, during her breaks between working on her big projects, likes to tinker and make all kinds of stuff. Your job here will be to help Miss Scientist test out the excess products of her imagination and genius. Hopefully, nothing will explode in your face. Cost: 0. Chance of Success: 50% Reward: Minions get equipped with actual weapons
Roll: 75
"Hey, what does this do?" Lackey A asks as he lifted up a rather fancy looking gun.
"Oh that? That's a shrink ray" Miss Scientist answered. Not elaborating further. "Test it by shooting someone."
Shrugging their shoulders, Lackey A shot the target that had been set up for this weapon testing. *Zap* A bolt of blue energy fires from the gun and perfectly hits the target. However, nothing happens.
"Er...I think this gun is broken." Due to the way the gun was constructed, it looked like it was being held together by lots of duct tape. Truly something that was slapped together at the last minute.
"Of course not. Try it on someone. Don't worry, it's non-lethal." Miss Scientist informed the lackey.
"Wait, if it's non-lethal, what's the point of having – " Lackey B was interrupted when Lackey A did as Miss Scientist suggested.
*Zap*
On Lackey B.
"Gah! What the hell!? You – OH GOD MY PANTS! IT HURTS!" Lackey B fell to the ground as his clothes started to shrink very noticeably.
"…Are his clothes shrinking?" Lackey C asked, watching the scene with fascinated horror.
"Hahahaha! Due to some limitations, my shrink ray only works on clothing. However, as you can, it is quite effective in subduing a person."
"Oh god! It's riding up my ass!" The Lackeys couldn't help but wince at Lackey B's situation.
"Oooh, that's one hell of a wedgie."
"Kukuku, here. Try this one." Miss Scientist handed one of the minions what looked like a neon green grenade.
"A grenade?"
"I recommend throwing it outside."
"Er, sure. I guess."
Later that day, a new report about a freak tornado appearing in Ryuei City's junkyard made its way onto TV.
Reward: All Lackeys have access to a series of effective non-lethal weaponry. +10 to all combat rolls. Research Income increased.
(Choose 1)
[X] The Mad Scientist: Miss Scientist is in charge of developing and creating new toys for the RX Group to play with as well as making Monsters to terrorise the city. However, you know little about the woman behind the swirly glasses. With her expertise, she could have easily found a bigger, more famous group to join. Why is she here with RX Group instead? Cost: 0. Chance of Success: 70% Reward: Increased relationship with Miss Scientist. Increased Learning.
Roll: 30
You hung out with Miss Scientist often this week, helping her with her projects and side duties. Being a multi-talented genius, Miss Scientist's contributions to RX Group were quite significant. Without her knowledge and skills, RX Group would probably still be mostly sending out Miss General and the original three lackeys to harass Braveman.
Which was a viable and respectable course of action, considering Braveman was the biggest threat to RX Group. At least until you showed up and helped motivate everyone into aiming higher.
Still, you don't really get to learn much about the scientist other than she really enjoys her work. Her lab was full of all kinds of gadgets and inventions that were either pointless or didn't do what they were meant to do right. But you could see that she put her all into whatever she wanted to create.
Helping here in the lab helped you learn a few things about the crazy science that was going on. Still, a lot of it was just goes over your head but you learnt a few things or two about maintaining highly delicate science equipment. You even got to meet the future test subject who would be undergoing the Monster modification process to become a human-type monster of RX Group.
You had to admit that in a proper organisation, Miss Scientist probably wouldn't be as happy there as she is here. After all, the Boss gave her free reign to pretty much do whatever experiments she wanted.
At least you figure out that Miss Scientist is mostly in it for the science and not any real prestige or crap like that.
Reward: Increased relationship with Miss Scientist. +1 Learning.
Personal: You've got some free time to spare after you've done your chores and assigned duties. (Choose 1)
[X] Knowledge is Power: Learning is something that never ends and you've been feeling the need to touch up on your knowledge base. Miss Scientist has some old textbooks for you to study from as well as some reference books as well. This should help you learn what to do if the doomsday device is malfunctioning. Cost: 0. Chance of Success: 90% Reward: Increased Learning. Possible Increase of Stewardship.
Roll: 7
You tried to learn. Really, you did. But every time you looked at a book, a sudden urge to do literally anything else overtook you. During one of those times, you decided to balance a bunch of books on your head.
While balancing on a chair.
Needless to say, it went horribly.
Fortunately your enhanced body was able to take a good deal of punishment and you only managed to knock yourself out. However, when you woke up, you found yourself in some basement doing some kind of occult ritual with an unconscious girl in the middle of a bloody magic circle while holding a knife.
After freeing the girl and dumping her someplace far away from where you had found her, you returned to base with a haunted look. This has been the first time since coming to RX Group that your ghostly admirer had hijacked your body and tried to gain a body by your hands.
You give up on trying learning through textbooks after this debacle and try researching methods to exorcise this crazy ghost stalker of yours.
No increase in learning. Ghost Stalker is becoming more pro-active. Everyone is uneasy around you for a couple of days.
It seems to be a running trend with Miss Scientist calling everyone to come to her laboratory to see her latest finished project. However, this time around, everyone was aware that Miss Scientist had been working on the first human-type monster of RX Group. By now, almost everyone that has visited the lab at any time this week should have at least seen the young woman who would be undergoing the monsterisation process.
Like with X-kun, Miss Scientist was waiting next to a large pod chamber thing connected to a whole bunch of machines when everyone showed up to see what was going on. As usual, Miss Scientist started the presentation by greeting everyone.
"Hello everyone! Is this everyone? Yes, it's everyone. Ahem. Last week I created X-kun to demonstrate the viability of my work. Today, I give you the first true product of my genius! Come out, Type 1 Humanoid Monster, G-chan!" The moment Miss Scientist finished talking, the pod chamber began to open, letting out steam with a woosh sound. When the chamber fully opened, there was too much steam to see what was inside.
However, footsteps could be heard as the person inside walked out of the chamber. Emerging from the steam almost like a wraith was RX Group's newest member.
Your first impression of your newest member was that she was a dark skinned monster girl. She was about as tall as Miss General, perhaps a few inches shorter. Her hair was platinum blonde with the side bang reaching down to her shoulders while the rest was bent back in a natural way, with two long locks that looked like antennas coming just about her forehead. She wore dark pantaloons paired with a sleeveless ribbed sweater and a white jacket tied around her waist by the sleeves. A scarp with an X emblem on the front was wrapped around her neck. From her back were two black cape like protrusions that reminded you of the wings of a night creature. It was her eyes that told you she was no longer human. Her whites of her glaring eyes were black and her iris glowed with an ominous yellow. Her body was tensed as though it could spring into violence at any moment.
This was RX Group's first true monster. Everyone stared at the humanoid monster, aweing and oohing quietly at her presence.
"Ooooh! It's a dark skinned ninja girl!" The boss suddenly piped up, breaking the tension that was building up in the room.
"Fufufu...Bwhahahaha! Perfect! Braveman is sure to be impressed when he sees that RX Group finally has its own monster!"
Miss Scientist began snickering as G-Chan suddenly looked apprehensive and began fidgeting on the spot.
"Kukuku, indeed! G-Chan here, when she came to me, asked me to make her ninja-like! And with some creative thinking, I have succeeded!"
"M-M-Miss Scientist!" G-Chan cried out, appalled that tidbit of information being exposed. YOu notice that her antenna-like locks have suddenly shrunk and her eyes have changed, becoming normal in appearance with the glare softening into a shy and awkward expression.
"So wait, what do you mean ninja-like?" One of the Lackeys asked.
"Oh, you know, Ninja-like! Ninjas are all about being fast, stealthy, dark, and have hidden weapons right? Well G-Chan here has all that as well!" Miss Scientist explained with G-Chan shyly nodding in confirmation. "Thanks to the modifications, only the fastest heroes can even think about just keeping up with G-Chan on foot! Not only that, she can generate a silence field that erases all sound that she makes! And since ninjas have all kinds of hidden weapons on them, G-chan also has something like that as well! She's everything that a ninja gotta be!"
"H-Hai! That's right! I'm a ninja monster girl!" G-Chan proclaimed as she got caught up in Miss Scientist's explanation. "It's been my dream since I was a little girl to become a ninja and now, it's finally came true!"
"Fufufu, good good! We really needed someone who specialises in sneaky stuff! I, the Boss, welcomes you to RX Group, G-chan! Let us take over the world together!"
Well, looks like things are off to a great start for G-Chan.
You can't help but wonder what creature Miss Scientist based G-Chan's ability off from. Well, no matter. As long as she contributes to RX Group without too much trouble, it doesn't really matter.
....
Type 1 Humanoid Monster, G-Chan has joined RX Group! Her powers include high speed movement, silence field, retractable arm spikes and blades, and enhanced senses.
