Phalanges responds differently to this question. "You are in my realm, not far from my border with Dreamer Fovea. Hmm. If you are to stick around, I would suggest visiting her realm. She is deeply invested in matters of Sorcery, and monitors the actions of Maldurion the Bloody and his Jyre as to provide us advanced warning on his schemes. After all, he may be unable to best me in a direct battle, but that doesn't help if I can't intercept his invasion attempts."

"I see!" she exclaimed. She did not see. Where was Throne? They couldn't reach the Red City, which , by any account, was impossible for a person of her and her master's calibur.

"You know, it's a poor host that invites guests to their house and offers them no tea," she remarked, a moment later.

Protector Phalanges scoffs. "I did not invite you madmen, I have no house, and I am no host."

It looks somehow affronted.

"You shall either be hospitable, or you shall let me leave."

Meti looked at the man with clearer eyes than any woman her age should have. This was no false dichotomy she was presenting him. This was reality, an no more options could be found in her mind.

"That's no excuse," she sniffed. "This is your realm, eh? Then it's obviously your house. By the Flame Eternal, did your mother not teach you anything?"
"Like yours taught you enough. You were and still are a fool, but at least that much seems to have gotten through to you be now."

Maya frowned a bit. "Yes, well," she declared archly, "I expect that a thousand years of introspection out of a bottle should do that." Then, she turned back to the professer. "Where's our tea, then, eh? There's things I have to do, and lying around here fufills absolutly none of them!"

The Jarrow gives Maya a Look. "I need no excuse. I owe only the other Jarrow respect, and I grant it to mortals that impress me. You fit neither category."

The Jarrow turns it's gaze upon Meti. "I am not preventing you from leaving. My nature resist ingress, but not egress. That you are incapable of the act, even having been directed by me to go elsewhere, is not my fault."

The Jarrow sighs audibly and turns back towards Maya. "By all means, leave, I see no benefit in entertaining you, and if you persist in wasting time I could spend patrolling my lands, coordinating with my brethren and kindred, and training promising heroes, I will take that as an attack upon my people. So unless you have something worth my attention, I suggest you leave me be."

Then he begins slowly ascending, not taking his eye off his guests, but apparently surveying the region.

The knight lefts a hand from it's weapon, and clenches it into a fist, as Zoss attempts to crush the Herald's spine, and the voice booms forth, saying "And so the Bastion defends, as is his nature." Zoss feels the hand resist his grip, the attack somehow redirected from it's target.

The armored knight seems to completely ignore Zoss's words, until he's finished. In a voice rough, sounding little used, it croaks out"My liege is no king, and has no form. He gives you more attention than you deserve, mortal. And I am a shield, set in your path, forged by his will and tempered by battle."

And stands there, while the Herald works it's magic. Revolution Dawn calls out "You need to get out of that Taint! The Jyre control reality inside their Taint, and you never want to be inside an enemies power!", as she carves her way through the forces reaching her.

The battle rages on.
And the King of Kings frowned, for He was unhappy with the ongoing battle. It had been many millenia since He had been opposed so. He hardly remembered it, but they were not memories He cared to recall.

"You annoy me." He stated. "Are you here to simply delay me? You bring armies against me, you rally your champions, you coat the land in bones, and yet here I stand, untouched. You may counter me, but you cannot harm me."

And He brought one foot down where He stood, and into the ground He sent his Royalty, and the ground would become that of the void, grey ash, spreading around Him, for he willed it so. If his enemy sought to delay Him, then He would do what Zoss did. He would Conquer, for such was his title. And assuredly these results would be so, for the King of Kings saw no alternative. He would not retreat to safer ground, for such was not the way of the Conquering King. He would make His own ground, His own influence, and into the ground at His feet he thrust His will, as he had done to fight his previous foe.

But the King was cunning, for He knew that in His efforts to destroy His foes ground and claim it as His own, He would be forced to make an attack of sorts. And as such, this Bastion that opposed Him could defend. And so the King of Kings did not destroy the domain at His feet. Rather, it had never existed in the first place, for Zoss wished it so. There had never been the domain of His foe there, for it had always been Void. Zoss did not destroy, for there was nothing to destroy, He did not attack, for there was nothing to attack. He simply took what was His, as was His right as King.

Regardless, Zoss then spread his arms. "Well then, have ye not the strength to strike me? I ask you again. Be you a coward? A craven afeared of his own sword? Strike me down, and please the master you hold so dear. Do this, or surrender, for there are no alternatives."

Fresh Arrivals
If there had been any doubt that Beta Ray Bill was on a different world, it is gone now. There is enough forest here to cover Korbin or Earth completely in trees, and little apparent curvature. And the barrier... Bill had assumed it was an energy barrier. That was familiar. A physical wall of this size was not, and though they appeared to be mere stone, mere stone could not support itself like this. It is either enhanced by magic or technology, or it is not stone at all.

The odd sun barely registers. A consequence of seeing untold millions of stars from every distance guarding his people's fleet.

In any case, it is this barrier that they must get past to advance. Already he considers options. Brute force is his first thought, but it may not be wise to destroy the barrier, and he still has little idea of It That Slays' offensive capability. He may not able to break the barrier through brute force. Stormbreaker's ability to travel between realms may be more effective, and it leaves force as a backup plan.

The sudden diminishment of It That Slays' energy signature shakes him out of his thoughts, but no, it is not sudden, he realizes. The wood dragon has been accelerating, and lost in thought he didn't notice. Oh well. Bill merely wills his hammer to go faster. This is still nowhere near Stormbreakers faster-than-light top speed.

Stormbreaker senses some kind of energy surge and Kushinata abruptly vanishes. It That Slays abruptly whips around, heading for Kushinata's position, clearly planning to investigate.

Meanwhile, Beta Ray Bill sees someone, or something, abruptly falling from the sky. Not coincidentally, Lord Boros finds himself abruptly falling towards a massive forest, unclear how he got here.

Simultaneously, Santa Claus finds himself with no time to react as his sleigh flies into... some kind of rift or portal. Going from his home to a massive forest world. His intrinsic awareness of people in the world shows him only three, aside himself. An innocent killer, uncomprehending of the morality of it's actions, below the forest canopy. A mighty warrior, always seeking a challenge. And a devoted protector, a champion of his people.

The rocket sleigh, of course, is obvious to both Lord Boros and Beta Ray Bill.

The energy surge catches Beta Ray Bill completely off guard, as does It That Slays immediately turning around and heading back the way they'd come. Back towards Kushinata.

"What in the Nine Realms...?" the Korbinite mutters as the dragon sprints away. He has no time to mull following, though, for his keen eyes spot two more changes that the energy surge has wrought.

First, there is a humanoid figure falling out of the sky, seemingly unaided by any sort of flight ability. And second, there is a conveyance Bill recognizes as a sleigh, rockets propelling it through the air. Within the conveyance is a large human man, with a white beard and clad in red, whom Bill recognizes from advertisements in New York.

Odd. He'd thought Santa's sleigh was propelled by reindeer, not rocket engines. Still, the legends on Thor are not overly accurate themselves, and ultimately the difference is unimportant. Now, he has a choice. Save the falling man, or follow It That Slays to see what happened there.

The choice turns out to be surprisingly easy. If Maldurion is the one who brought these newcomers - and Bill has no reason to believe anyone else would - then they are of a sufficient power that a fall from this height would not kill them. Or inconvenience them much, for that matter. Decision made, Bill wills Stormbreaker to turn and follow It That Slays. The priority must be to see what happened to his only (up until now) ally on this world.

Naturally, Beta Ray Bill quickly arrives, to see It That Slays clearly staring in irrational at a spot. A spot much like any other. "My Territory was briefly transgressed, and now the other is gone, vanished entirely. Vexing. However, we seem to have new strangers. Did you see and recognize them?" it asks.

It cranes it's head casually, clearly tracking Santa's sleigh.

'So, Kushinata is gone,' Bill thinks as he touches down next to the dragon. 'I hope it is back to her home realm, wherever it is.'

That brief prayer done - not that he'd call it that - Bill turns to It That Slays, answer ready.

"I saw two, and recognized one," Bill replies. "Though I only know him by reputation, assuming that reputation is correct he will gladly join us in our quest to find answers, and will not attack you. The other... is a mystery to me."

Lord Boros slams into the ground, taking no damage from the fall. He looks around, apparently shocked by his current situation. "I...I have survived! That man, Saitama, he killed me. Where am I? The prophecy, does that mean...it could be true? He outclassed me so much, I enjoyed the fight, but he was not the subject of the prophecy. " He then turns his attention to the falling sleigh. "If he is the opponent, he will survive the fall. Now, I think I saw someone else running as I fell. They ran extremely fast, they may be my fated opponent."

The crab thing responds to the talk of logistics by saying " The 'crabs', as you call them, my Wyrms, have no relevant logistics. Wyrms do not eat, sleep, require gear, or otherwise need any supply chains, and I am free to generate the replacements from the ground inside my Territory. The merfolk, those you call fishmen, well, it would probably be best to speak with some of the chieftains on that. It's not an area I prefer to give direct attention."
Bhavishy-kaal makes a gesture of agreement.

"Interesting. Yes, I think it may be best if I speak with the merfolk chieftains"
Meanwhile, the Herald remains almost comically unable to fight back against Leviathan of Frozen Depths. Nothing new has yet attempted to tip the scales of that particular fight.
A cloud of grey rolls down thons arm, collecting and solidifying in thons hand.

Ability of Leviathan to deal with nanophages: Unknown, probability indicates very high likelihood of survival.
Ability of self-proclaimed Ultimate life-form to deal with nanophages: Unkown, advise against testing right now
Ability of OPFOR to deal with nanophages: Unknown, assume some manner of defense.

Thus, wait until the self-proclaimed Ultimate life-form and Leviathan to get clear before launching such an attack.

Kars gives a contemptible snort at the birdman, and then he moves. The Pillar Man is all at once darting around the oncoming feathers like they were not even there.

Not content with this alone, Kars flapped his wings with a strong jolt, and a spray of his own feathers scattered towards the birdman. A large portion also streaked towards the Herald, Kars having spotted the stalemate in his acrobatic dodging. The feathers shot out like bullets, their reflective surface dazzling in the light. In secret, they were also set to transform into attacking snakes the moment they finished striking their target or the ground, sinking their venom in the two targets the original feathers were aimed at.

Kars readied himself, intent on charging in and grappling the birdman the moment he was distracted by the sudden appearance of the snakes, his powerful body should be able to end this fool in close combat.

The birdman crows victoriously. The feathers Kar's himself has launched turn on a dime, rocketing back at him, every last one. The feathers the birdman launched also abruptly juke midair, once again towards Kars. And he launches another wave.

The Leviathan calls out "My Sorcerers report that you are fighting a God of Feathers! I suggest you stop using feathers, as that dominion is conceptual in nature."

Bhavishy-kaal makes a gesture of agreement.

The crab approximates a nod, and in short order a few of the merfolk with some manner of fancy headdresses upon their heads are swimming towards Bashivy-Kaal, likely instructed by some of the Leviathan's other Wyrms, while, of course, the Leviathan continues to pound away at the Herald. Really, it's vaguely absurd how little it's been damaged by the assault.

There's also... something moving into the water from the fire. Creatures, or maybe machines, invisible, near silent, and barely disturbing the water.

Leviathan of Frozen Depths audibly scoffs, and ice lances through the intruding forms, pinning them violently to the ground. The crab speaks up, saying "Be wary of stealth operations. This is not the limit on his infiltration specialists, and some are not so easily spotted."

Meanwhile, the presumable chieftains draw near, and seem to regard Bashivy-Kaal with curiosity.

Lord Boros contemplates going after the strange vehicle, resembling some of the more tribalistic vehicles that he's seen, but decided against it, instead running in the general direction of where he saw the blur going, moving fast enough to quickly search through the area in which Beta Ray Bill went and find his trail. Broken branches and snapped trees would lie in the wake of the man, as such speed is hard to control without being as skilled as himself. Lord Boros will follow these to his potential challenger. Best not to get too excited, though. Too many have fallen against him for him to get his hopes up.

"Aye, I agree," Bill replies. "Watch for an energy burst."

So saying, he hurls his hammer and rises into the air towards where he'd seen the falling figure. Unfortunately said figure has evidently slipped beneath the trees, for he or she or it is not visible.

Oh, never mind. The trail of broken trees is not exactly hard to miss. Adjusting course, he comes down just behind and off to the right of Lord Boros, and fires off the bolt of concussive force into the air.

"Ahoy!" the Korbinite announces, still flying. "What is your name, stranger?"

Even from the perspective of Lord Boros and Beta Ray Bill, It That Slays simply flashes into place, clinging to the side of a great tree with both legs and an arm. It seems content to let Beta Ray Bill handle negotiations.

"My name is Lord Boros! Now, where am I? Are any of you strong?" He peers curiously at It That Slays. "What In the name of the stars are you?" He glances towards Beta Ray Bill. "You seem to fit the bill a little better, in terms of appearance. No challenging you yet, though."

It That Slays tilts it's head, saying simply "I am a Dragon."

The creature tilts it's head farther. "A Dragon is a Dragon, of course." It seems to consider this genuinely an explanation.
"You're one of those cryptic mystic types, aren't you? Literally every arrogant mystical being I've ever pounded into the ground has done almost the exact same song and dance when I ask them what they are. A god is a god, of course! A Slasnir is a Slasnir, of course! Every single time! Do you have some secret contract of annoying people with cryptic and vague answers that you assume they already know?" He looks genuinely annoyed. "Prophet was that way too, vague mutterings leading me to my death. Assume for a second that I have literally no idea what you are talking about. What are you?"

Beta Ray Bill successfully resists the strong urge to facepalm at the exchange. Though his voice is noticeably tight when he does reply.

"Greetings, Lord Boros. I am Beta Ray Bill. To answer your questions in order, you are in his realm-" With this he indicates It That Slays. "And the both of us are quite strong by any reckoning. As for Dragons, the traditional definition is a variety of large, fire-breathing lizard of tremendous power." He pointedly looks up and down It That Slays. "Though having only recently encountered one, I am forced to admit that the traditional definition is breathtakingly inadequate."

"Now, may I have your word that you two will refrain from killing one another for the moment? Answers are paramount, and I must go and greet our other newcomer."

"I will admit, some user of magic is much more impressive as a 'Dragon' then some fire-breathing lizard." He nods. "Why would I fight? Getting annoyed is no reason to fight, it's the thrill of being challenged. This being is immensely fast, faster than I can see. I've seen only one being like that before and he killed me with what you humans, I assume you are a human, Beta Ray Bill, call a couple of strong punches from his perspective. This would be no challenge unless I fought in an unfair manner, which would take the challenge out of it. I have no reason to fight this being at all, so there is no need to worry."
