"The battle... Must continue, you see. Fighting and blood... That is the way of things. What, then, was I to do, when nothing remained to challenge me? The answer became clear, in time. Find new foes. And if none are left to be found... Make them. Please try not to die too easily, I hate being bored in the between times."

That was what you heard, before finding yourself upon a vast, red plain, extending farther than the eye can see...

The Premise

A being so powerful that even the likes of Superman, creator gods, or other traditionally 'overpowered' characters would be the underdog, even working together, has gathered... Or possibly made... Whatever characters you submit (and get accepted) for the sole purpose of continuing to fight... Or so it says, at least. There's probably characters that would be, in fact, too strong, but rest assured that the powerscale here is quite extreme. Part of the inspiration for the idea was people talking about difficulty finding RPs to submit extremely powerful characters to, and part of it was the thought of how interesting it would be to see such characters finding themselves outmatched.

The goal is simply to defeat the being... Or, more pessimistically, to not die.

The Character Sheet

I should be able to understand the character from the character sheet on it's own merits. If there is critical information missing, even if it's present in the form of wiki links or the like, that's not good enough.

With that out of the way, the character sheet itself follows.

Name: What is the character called?
Physical Description: I need an accurate idea of what they look like, be it a (spoilered) picture, a solid description, or both.
Mental Description: I don't really need to know how they think or their personality, but I want this filled out to be sure the player has thought it through. I mean, if you are submitting, like, a SI, I don't need to know anything more than that. The main point is I don't want a character not intended to be a SI being essentially written as one.
Abilities: Whether it's skills, magic, gear, superpowers, or what, any abilities of note should be described in detail. I need to know what the character can and can't do, and any characteristics like super speed or strength besides. And not just what they do, but to a reasonable degree how they do it; this is a context that necessarily distinguishes to some degree between 'can make fire by magic' and 'can make fire by psychic powers'.
Setting of Origin: I don't know every setting out there, and original characters are also fine. I'll want to know where they come from, preferably with eg wiki links if it's not original.
History: The character's life so far.

The RP Otherwise

If you think I am overlooking or underrating an ability of the character, point it out, but ultimately it's my call, and this is a situation where even conceptual powers and the like may find themselves foiled.

I will be accepting probably no more than five to eight submissions at one time. Any further quality submissions will go on a waiting list. I will be attempting to keep a fairly brisk pace, if you don't post in the IC for more than three or so days without giving me a heads up, expect to get skipped.

Speaking of the waiting list... Well, I won't be in the least surprised if player turnover winds up being high. It'll partly depend on how things go and how many submissions we get and so on.

There is no specific roleplaying system in use here, this is a narrative type game in that regard.

Otherwise, anything else I have to say I hope is common sense. Don't be a jerk to other players, don't godmode, follow the site rules, etc and ad nauseum.

I haven't even read the OP. It's a game by Terrabrand, I'm up for it.

EDIT: Perfect! I have so many ideas that're too powerful for normal games!

So can I be that one genocide meteor that dies first?

Just kidding! .....mostly.

Is uh.. Is somebody who warps reality with the power of music okay?

What about a stupidly lucky guy?

Or a person who nullifies anything not 'Normal?'

...

So many ideas!

I don't know the reference. Are you capable of shrugging off universe destroying attacks or delivering the same? If so, you might be pushing things. If it's not on that general order, it's probably not in excess of the power limits.

Wait a minute--While we have you here @The Fourth Monado, could you post for On the Hunt?

And @Terrabrand, are your other RPs still up?
I was willing to start this because running In The Kingdom Of Twilight is hard in ways this isn't likely to be and I am waiting on almost literally everyone in On The Hunt. If I ever do give up on either I will make sure to announce it. I actually moved forward Secret Character Actions for In The Kingdom Of Twilight just a few hours ago, really.

That was a joke where im the meteor that caused the extinction of dinosaurs.

Btw would Lady Bernkastel be too much? Yeah she is.

Would Sirzechs Lucifer be fine? I think the most he can shrug off would be a continental destroyer. If at all.

I think I know of her?

In any event, let me lay out some of the features of the Arch villain guy you'll be facing.

  • Conceptual attack defenses.
  • On a class of power where gods qualify as fodder soldiers.
  • Local reality manipulation... Over his multiverse, at this point. Not that it's absolute, but changing fundamental laws can be done as a side topic.
  • Can move dimension scale distances at speeds hilariously faster than light. He's not even specced as a speedster.
  • Might survive the destruction of the entire multiverse, depending how it happened.
That's just a taste. Godlike reality warpers are, in fact, fair game.

@Terrabrand , are submissions done in-thread or via PM?
In thread.

Well, shit. Now I think my first idea is too weak.
There will be room for a wide range to contribute, so i can't say if it's too weak doubly so without knowing what it is, but the only reason I didn't say 'absolutely no power limits' is because I am well aware that other people can think of overpowered bullshit too, not just me, and i can't rule out the possibility of other, even more overpowered things I don't know about.

Hm. Alright, question.

If I brought in a being whose Atom-Equivalents were basically universes, would that be just about right for this game?

I'd need to know more details, but such a being does not sound beyond the Arch Villain here just on those merits.
The main premise around his particular fighting style is that he's got the enormous strength that being made of universes would entail, and also has reality-warping control over said universes. Kind of like a living small multiverse.

..So basically we're playing Defeat The Godmodder? :V

Power Levels
..So basically we're playing Defeat The Godmodder? :V

I'm not familiar with that to say. But to give a little more information...

Well, the Arch Villain here is a Dragon as per my War of Dragons setting.

He is, specifically, a winner of the War. (Not my 'canon' winner, but I have long entertained what other possible winners look like.)

Most of those powers I outlined are standard for any Dragon that wins the war... in the cases they aren't standard, period. Because each Dragon gains strength from every Dragon they slay and there are loads and loads of the things.

The main premise around his particular fighting style is that he's got the enormous strength that being made of universes would entail, and also has reality-warping control over said universes. Kind of like a living small multiverse.

Still doesn't sound beyond the pail.

More generally, people shouldn't be too concerned about being too weak- power levels can be more easily fudged up than down, most weak concepts can be made stronger by just scaling them up, a lot of strong concepts can't be scaled down. I am looking for powerful characters, but I'm not, specifically, challenging people to find the strongest characters they possibly can.
