Even after the reboot, I'm still trapped in the wrong anime!

[X] Read the flow (defend and study its movements)

The Bear gets 8 dice to attack to our 6, so a successful defense is actually really lucky.

Actually, your initial defense was 5 dice, but initial round was a surprise round, and Building Steam activates, so next round you'll have 7 dice for defense (plus bonuses for a full defense action and a penalty for the bear should Read the Flow win)

Just to let you know, your teacher, the one you learned the Momentum style from, did not need 10 rounds to get the full +10 bonus from the Building Steam technique.

The bear thought it was in Canada, but found itself in Finland. :V

Yep thought so. Expect an update soon.

TFW you are a dancing zombie bear and are having a day.
Read the flow (defend and study its movements)

You focus on the bear, not just the hulking form, but it movements and how it reacts to its surroundings and opponents.

There is a rhythm to battle, a pace set by the combatants in every battle. Sometimes frantic and furious, sometimes stuttering and halting, but it's always there.

That your opponents pace is set by the music makes it easy, that you aren't constrained by the same makes it easier still.

[Read the Flow active!]

Dusk, still hidden by the shadows launches his remaining needle.
Shadow Needle: 1,4,4,9,10 = 2 successes
Bear defends: 3,4,7,8,8,9 = 4 successes
Despite Dusk's stealth advantage, the bear is more then ready, somehow elegantly swiping the shadow needle out of the air.

You can practically feel Dusk's near panic as tries to form more needles.
Shadow Needle ability: 1,4,4,8,9 = 1 success, 1 needle formed.

Of course the next round comes and the zombie bear is still focused on the one visible attacker, but you are prepared
Bear swipes: 1,1,3,5,6,6,8 = -1 success
Argus defense: 1,2,6,7,7,9,9,10,10 = 7 successes
You know the rhythm of this battle, and unconstrained by it as you are, you can take advantage of it's off beats, it's break beats as it were.

As the bear swipes, you retaliate against the rhythm, disrupting it violently. Well placed blows break something within the bear.

[Bear's armor reduced to 0]
[Bear has Broken (1) condition, -1 Fighting]

If it were alive, it'd probably run from you at this point.

[ ] Pump those pistons! (continue Punching)
[ ] Add some wheels! (equip Combat Yo-Yo)
[ ] Walk away Nope! Finishing this!
[ ] Something else (pending GM approval)

[x] (Proto) RIDER KICK!
You're going to have to explain this one.
Edit: If you are talking about some sort of finishing move, then you are lacking on. Momentum style doesn't really have those, as it's more in the province of Alpha Strike style (that is, making a single really big hit).
