Your name is Vshera and you are twelve years old. The salty sea breeze licks against your skin as your people exit their canoes. You breathe deeply. For a time you wondered if all your people would ever see would be the ocean. That you would leave the icey wastes only to find death beneath the sea. You shivered in horror as a memory assaulted you.

Cobalt blue eyes stared at you far below the depths. Pointed teeth were revealed as the creature smiled. You felt a primal need within you to jump into the water...

You shook your head to dispel the memory. Thankfully one of your mother's husbands had pulled you back from the edge of the canoe. Still the event had left you with a....

You stood upon the ridge and the elders looked at you in expectation.

"Which way should we travel Vshera?"

I'm thinking we act symbiotically with other tribes - mainline Piety to become the best priests and thinkers around.

Reasoing:
Trait choice so that we can get crackin on tech, and because it makes sense for someone just off the boat to be interested in learning more about this new land
Direction so we can stay on the coast and really get the most out of our seafaring trait, and because it makes sense that our people would prefer to be by water.
Tech so we can get rid of the nomadic malus early on, get that sweet, sweet farming dosh rolling in and because our people probably care more about food that than do other things.
Foreign trade to make frens and start being peaceful early
And Rukad fen making because being frens is gut

Not sure what to vote just yet....but few thoughts...

@Arthellion
Was that a siren? A merman? Or some other shit in the ocean? This world you're building is creepy Arthellion.

Also...your style and update to this game is fricking awesome. Love the style and what you're building.

Come on guys TO WAR!

Gonna be honest...this time period is probably one of the best to do war and get away with it. It's technically not even war.

I'd point out that we likely won't be able to trade with these people or even speak their language. No trade pacts (since we don't have that civic yet) or alliances.

The best we can hope for is....we learn to do hand gestures? But attacking them allows us to assimilate their people, grow our pop (we need more women!), and whatever wealth they have.

Deep, you did the same, except you have the trait vote.

Come on guys, let's form a priest-caste that will let us cross borders and puppet the other tribes to our will!

We need to get rid of the Nomadic penalties we've got, and Agri seems the best direction for that. We've not got the chops to communicate. We've ALSO got more men than we need, and not enough women. And that channel between the main of India and Sri Lanka next to the river mouth looks nice.
