Too many damn characters; it's getting hard to keep track of everyone by this point.
*shrug* You get used to it. For better or for worse, it helps that some characters don't actually have names but descriptive nicknames, and others are just one-shot who never show up again, no matter how interesting they may be.
Well, the church tends to take a wastenot-wantnot policy....actually, given that fate and his motivations, he's definitely recoverable, though keeping him out of Church hands take more credit than we have
I don't think he is that valuable, I got the impression he wasn't the only one with this job.

I don't think he is that valuable, I got the impression he wasn't the only one with this job.

He performed the Church's equivalent of an orbital strike via completely ignorant students, and asserted localized reality and time control on his own which had to date only been matched by Magic God candidates or the combined effort of the Vatican.

His job was not unique, but he is not easily replaced

Solar aspected essence might blunt the "attract them" aspect of her power. Or at least give her some control, if her power works as an esper ability.
Honestly I suspect essence, and especially Solar aspected stuff, would just make the problem worse. Essence is an incredibly dense and powerful energy source so combing it with her uncontrolled ability would likely just lead to massively increasing the range.

It's also worth noting that both cases we've seen of essence effecting an Esper power (Misaka and Morgan) it was by ramping up the power significantly. I wonder if Kuroko will see a massive range boost now that her essence has been awakened?

...Actually, quick fact check. I think sending Saten to guard Index might be a bad idea, as she's guarded by that flame spirit summon.
Stiyl sets up Innocentius to guard Index in the anime take, see Episode 7 of Season 1 at 18:40, so it's certainly a concern.

Not quite. You regenerate 4 motes per hour when active, and 8 motes per hour when resting; that isn't the same as "awake" and "asleep". Sitting back and doing some pleasure reading would count as resting, as would meditation.
I mostly went for awake/asleep because it's faster/easier to describe. That said the examples of "completely relaxed" are "sleeping" and "receiving a massage" which are situations where you're doing absolutely nothing at all. Meanwhile the "at ease, but not completely relaxed" examples are "watching an artistic performance" (probably equivalent to reading for pleasure), "taking a leisurely stroll", and "debating with a realm courier". So in practice you can basically boil down 4m/h as "awake" and 8m/h as "effectively asleep".

I dunno about you, but when I read hand-holding, it almost always has something to do with shipping. And I'm fairly certain you know Kuroko's deal with Mikoto in canon. It would come across as leading her on, at least how I see it.
Now I'll freely admit I'm a Misaka/Kuroko shipper. That being said absolutely no shipping was intended in that stunt. The most emotional context I would say I intended was to reinforce the idea that, has come up numerous times through this quest, Misakaand Kuroko are partners in dealing with stuff like this. Besides grabbing her hand is something in line with canon!Misaka as seen in SisterS ep1 where she grabs Kuroko's hand to chase after the escaping helicopter and there that had a lot worse relationship then in EPS.

Perhaps I've just grown too bitter, then. My actual problem isn't with the action itself, but the fact that I'm perceiving the purpose behind the action to have something to do with shipping, which sets me off. I'm still not going to vote for it, since I have my doubts that it isn't an attempt to do something with shipping (really, this is the same person that made the kissing vote) and I don't want to encourage that, but I'll acknowledge that my reaction to it being "no shipping" is jumping to conclusions and perhaps reading into it too much.
That was Yog not me. I admittedly did vote for that but so did literally everyone else who voted that update.

It should. Worked much the same on Touma. First few attacks got dispelled, then he switched to just shooting shit.
Luckily for us his guns are explicitly created with the property "Begin firing at a speed that exceeds human motion recognition" and, as has been mentioned multiple times in quest, Misaka has superhuman reflexes. Of course worst comes to worst there is always Magnetic Alignment Defense since that gun was explicitly designed with the goal of being "unblockable".

3) It's a Conviction Limit Break of sorts, actually. Remember, Ars Magna requires significant self-directed mind control to achieve the sheer mental focus needed to imagine and materialize phenomenon. He entered a self-mindfuck loop, which Touma could punch him out of. The problem
Eh, maybe. Personally I'd put it down to more Stiyl mocking the guy over everything he did being pointless. Still since I haven't read the LNs I'll take your word for it.

4) Noting that most of the dead people came back to life when the Ars Magna was dispelled.
Really? I mean obviously Stiyl came back but the knight for the church they found dead on the ground floor of the cram school came back as well?

5) Misaka and Touma, the ones on the mission, are unwilling to kill. And he is undeniably skilled.
Yes? I was refuting the idea of recruiting him not proposing kill him. Odds are we'll just incap him and turn him over to the church for them to deal with, just like how we turn rogue Espers over to Anti-Skill.

IIRC, Stiyl needs to be there to control Innocentius at present.
Not sure though. He probably won't use a thousand degree fire summon to defend an ignorant Index inside a building, because theres a very real risk of accidentally killing Index instead.
Well he does in the anime...

Yes, everyone inside the Ars Magna at the time.

So everyone unless they actually managed to crawl outside.
Yeah.

Oh certainly. Costs too much political credit to do otherwise, but I hope they have better uses for him than a Grimoire mill.
Well he does in the anime...
If it's regarding the fight he had with Touma, he was intending to retrieve Index and was there in person to contain the damage. Innocentius can be left on autopilot, but well...leaving Innocentius on autopilot requires a cooperating ward since it's location tied.

I apologize for the confusion, and for the negative outlook I've had on these past few votes. I've gotten mostly alienated from the playerbases of quests, and the passive-aggressive accusations I've been handing out is hardly a good way to express my concerns, and the bitter lens I've been looking through has conjured up more than it has identified. I'm sorry for the trouble.

He does it in the Ars Magna arc, like I said earlier in the post. Touma comes out and finds Stiyl sticking his cards all over the walls outside Touma's apartment and asks what's up. Stiyl then tells him he's setting up Innocentius to protect Index since other magicians might try and come for her while they are away.

Yes, everyone inside the Ars Magna at the time.

Yeah.
Well, that's good to know!

It's alright, these things happen.

Ok, then, a vote correction that hopefully fixes the issue. Because we certainly need to do something about Saten.

[X] Take only Kuroko
-[X] I slipped my hand into Kuroko's, which dragged her attention away from her discussion with Uiharu and caused her to look up from her seat beside me. "Touma could use some help, you up for it?" All I got was a smile and a nod before we were out of the limo and flickering through the sky.
-[X] To Saten, I talked using her phone, not wanting to make Touma waiting; I asked her to guard my, our friends, and, after ensuring it wouldn't be intercepted, also entrusted identity and safety of Index, while her primary guardian was away
, while pulling Touma's phone into a conference call, so he could be reassured and provide what input he thought valid.

Range boost as in "can teleport further within line-of-sight", "can teleport beyond line of sight", or "no longer a Striker-type teleport"?
Calling it, someone's going to say "yes."

So I've edited my previous vote to the new one, so I can safely include a tally in this post, but @Yog I spotted an error in your vote; it should be "keep Touma waiting" not "make Touma waiting".

That's a clear victory for bringing just Kuroko, 10 vs. 1, and a plurality for Yog's latest stunt, although if you count the two votes for the old version of Yog's stunt it's a majority.

The total number of votes is a bit lower (11 vs. 18) then last time but usually a tally like this spurs people who forgot to vote to vote so I wouldn't be surprised to see it go up over the next 24 hours.
