Am I too far off in thinking that way?
As, generally, crippled Druchii, there aren't many career paths open to the barracks mothers. Consort or wife of a noble is just about the highest they can get, and that sort of move can only be achieved by being able to convince a noble that their ability to raise children is of such high quality that it ensured success even for someone else's child and that she'd only do better with her own

Another thing to keep in mind is that, as far as your character knows, she actually enjoyed raising the lot of you, and might be subway unhappy if any of you died. It's a point of pride for her barracks that you've all managed to survive until now.

Feel a bit like I rambled here, but this is all on my phone. Give me an hour to get home and ask for clarification if you need it.

Wait....we all managed to survive? In a watchtower of all places?

Holy shit, she is good at her job.

Making a case for her to be a Consort to a noble may not be that much of a stretch.

Remember when your commander said to you guys that if any of you died he'd demote all of you? Well that's cause he was afraid of her. She's relatively zealous and only no longer a soldier because she's collapsed a lung.

Should your barracks go on to be just as successful as it has been for until it's empty she will almost certainly get a move up in life.

However, that's enough explanation for now. If you guys need anything else ask.

Still not dead, and the first part of that extra obligation I mentioned just got completed. I don't really know if there's any way I can reward you guy's patience, but just know I'm not abandoning this.

Maybe I could pay someone to do a custom drawing of the MC? Something to consider.

What patience? Its barely been more than a day.

I've waited far longer for updates.

Don't feel guilty, just update when inspiration and interest strikes, we'll be around.

Okay, since I can already see the slow death of Sudenberg coming to this quest, I'm going to need a beta for this.

After someone volunteers, I'll pm you and hash out details. I actually enjoy writing this, and would like to have someone I'm responsible to to force me to work on it.

Seeing had I've had no volunteers, in gonna shunt this on the backburner (move the Google doc overt iro the grouping of the seven other docs I have perpetually open) and go on to something else.

I think I mishandled the character here. If I reboot this, it'll be in the roleplay section and actually run like warhammer fantasy rp.

Gotcha.

Not willing to Beta because I'm rather bad at critiquing other peoples work, I'd just be a grammar and spell check aid.
