Very nice. Tokage looks slightly greener then she normally does and her teeth should match Ryuzaki's but those are very minor nitpicks.
...are you sure those exist? Those Charles Atlas Superpowers hard at work for the rare occasions when being a dragon isn't an appropriate solution.
Damn how big is she??? She might be even taller than Lady Dimitrescu.
Ah, the teeth are probably my fault, because I sent the artist reference pics from the anime, which doesn't showcase her teeth unless her mouth is open.Very nice. Tokage looks slightly greener then she normally does and her teeth should match Ryuzaki's but those are very minor nitpicks.
Not quite, the perspective and different positions make the others look smaller. Ryuuzaki is 199cm, or 6'6" for 'Muricans. Siblings part 2 is a better way to get a sense of her height, or this rough height chart I made previously:Damn how big is she??? She might be even taller than Lady Dimitrescu.
Are you sure Stain performed a his gigantic standing high jumps over Todoroki's glaciers without them?
Speak English goddammit!
I was referring to the moments where being a dragon is somehow not the solution to all your problems, not the obvious overlooked superpowers. Are you sure Stain performed a his gigantic standing high jumps over Todoroki's glaciers without them?
Imperial Measurement has entered the chat.
Not including the horns, I assume?
We had a whole arc about this. Being a dragon isn't a solution for when the problem is somewhere that only a 6 and a half foot muscle girl can fit.I was referring to the moments where being a dragon is somehow not the solution to all your problems, not the obvious overlooked superpowers.
It's actually a pretty common fan theory that Stain has some ability to increase his physicality by 'stealing' it from his victims using his Quirk. The reason he's such a badass is that he gets to keep the boost if he kills them while his Quirk is active, and it stacked over time. There's not a lot of canon support for it, of course, but there you go.Are you sure Stain performed a his gigantic standing high jumps over Todoroki's glaciers without them?
That might explain Stain, but not Endeavour stopping speeding cars with one hand and wrestling with a black-skin Nomu (the ones that always have a super-strength Quirk), Bakugo punching Deku across a street hard enought to dent a metal railing, Nighteye throwing paperweights hard enough to crack concrete, Eraserhead lifting people into the air with a scarf and sending them flying with a punch, Vlad King cracking a concrete wall by slamming a Dabi clone into it, Mirio punching out people with super-toughness, Midoriya dragging a fridge with All-Might sitting on it before he even got OFA, etc etc. It's actually a pretty common fan theory that Stain has some ability to increase his physicality by 'stealing' it from his victims using his Quirk. That works, though personally I just subscribe to MHA being a shounen world where intense but mundane training can take you to levels of physicality we'd consider superhuman. It's a genre thing, it's just something People Can Do in a setting like that, rather than a genetic change rendering the whole population superhuman.
My personal pet theory is Passive Quirks passed down from Mutant-type Quirks disseminating amongst the population allowing people with sufficient training to perform superhuman feats, as mentioned in the essay omake in the sidestory tab.
As Syndrome said, "If everyone is special, then no one is special."Deku, Sobbing As He Deadlifts A Truck: "I'll never be superhuman like those people who can move small objects with their mind or who have telescopic earlobes."
Looks nice! I'm glad the artist didn't go with the 'giant eyes' situation Pony suffers from in the anime, and wow is Ryoko strong if she can lift an entire couch... with a single hand.I've been working on getting some commissions done to celebrate finishing another Arc, and more importantly Dragonspawn's first Saga.
WOOOOOOOO! I was just thinking about this because one of my all-time fav authors did an in-joke about Ryuuzaki's appetite.I am happy to announce that I am done with my exams and training, and hiatus is at long last officially over.
So we have "Happy to meet you", "I'm not gonna give up" face, the fitness maniac, and the stoic analyst. That is a very divergent set of expressions, especially in keeping with the art style. Deffo high-quality artist. I think I especially like the first and third, since a big part of Ryuuzaki's character struggle was expressing positive emotions. So a simple, pure, almost Gura-esque joy is a "little moment" I think is especially meaningful. Something the people around her would find infectious.
AAAAHH! This is amazing! You're right that u/Miconomicon person is an amazing artist. I've liked your previous commissions but the human ones have always felt a bit uncanny valley. This one is just pure awesomesauce and really makes Zaki come to life.I am happy to announce that I am done with my exams and training, and hiatus is at long last officially over.
I'm nearly finished writing Chapter 53 and it should be going up in the coming days, but in the meanwhile, well, you know how I said that the previous art update was the first of the commissions I had done as a milestone celebration?
Well, here's the other one:

Art by u/Miconomicon on reddit. Seriously check them out, they draw some genuinely incredible and varied MHA OC art that could be straight out of the anime at very reasonable prices, although the waiting time matches the quality.
Oh?one of my all-time fav authors did an in-joke about Ryuuzaki's appetite.
Yeah, we already had "Stepped on the hostage doll in Hero Training", "Ryuko! Ice Cream! And Ryuko!" and "My friends roped me into this but I'm having a good time" so I wanted to get a few more different expressions, and I'm super happy with how they turned out.So we have "Happy to meet you", "I'm not gonna give up" face, the fitness maniac, and the stoic analyst. Ryuuzaki died in summer 2016 so no, she wouldn't.
I'm sad to hear the others didn't hit the mark quite as well, but yeah, I am happy to have gotten a commission done in this style, even if I did have to wait nearly four months for it.AAAAHH! My Bloody Academia. The latest KLK crossover by the master of Life Fibers, Shemhazat, where the cast gets to live a life with Quirks instead of Life Fibers. In Chapter twenty four, we get this line from Mirko about Ryuko Matoi's Quirk-enhanced metabolism:
It's a small, blink-and-you-miss-it indirect line, but I choose to believe it was a shoutout.Rumi considered herself many things.
A strong and independent heroine who clawed her way to the number five spot purely on her own strength and physical prowess.
The number one rabbit themed hero in the world.
The obsession of dozens, if not hundreds, of fan clubs, which was both flattering and creepy.
But not rich.
When she punched the table, her knuckles didn't so much sting as vibrate, "I couldn't care less about your Quirk!" the impact, bolstered by her lagomorphic physical strength, rattled their plates and sent a knife falling to the floor, "You want to eat as much as All Might, be my guest! Eat until you burst!" a twitch of her ears signaled the irritation materializing as a snarl matched only by Ryuko's strangely confused nonchalance, "But you're gonna pay for it! Understand!?"
"Huh?"
"Don't 'huh' me," one of Rumi's maroon eyes narrowed more than the other as she jabbed her fork towards Ryuko, bits of vegetables flying through the air and landing on said teen's face, which started twitching, "When I accepted your application, nobody told me you had the appetite of a goddamn dragon! Unless you wanna get kicked to the curb, you're going to start paying for your own food!"
Ryuko glared at Rumi.
Rumi glared harder.
"Screw that," she countered that glare by snorting out the side of her mouth, glaring at a random spot on the floor and mentally willing the conversation over, "And why do you even care?" unwilling to let the hero's cheap and underhanded punch slide, Ryuko stabbed her plate. And missed because she hadn't been looking, "UA's paying for everything."
