Yeah, he's got some competition but I think Makram's my favorite right now. More art of him is coming either today or tomorrow.

Okay so Abzu's a rotwater golem that's actually kinda horrifying if I think about it for too long

[X] Brainstorm better riddles and/or puzzles for the entry chamber. Odds are equal or better that Abzu will take it as an attempt to help over another criticism and get defensive again, and maybe this way Makram will be snide and constructive.

Thanks!

[X] Brainstorm something that Abzu could work on in their spare time, like another magic item. They seem the sort that appreciates having a million things on the burner at once (you aren't, it's nightmarish) and this way they can ramble about their creative process for a bit.
--[X] Write-in: Suggest Abzu create a device by which you can carry lots of treasures and gold with you all at once

This sounds like Pikmin for some reason.

--[X] Write-in: Suggest Abzu create a device to supply him with black water, either from his tower, or from any in the air.

is Abzu made of blackwater and needs it? or is he using it for magic?

Fair warning, trying to write-in for this vote won't get you anything. If Zerban wanted write-ins, he'd have put the option in the vote.

Anyways, Abzu is definitely best goo right now, but holy hell we're stuck in Exalted.

Gotta be honest, that "pay attention to me, I'm the smartest, most well-informed person in the room" feeling strikes a point very close to home.

Zerban did clarify that write ins were fine for that suggestion. That being said, I think that Abzu is good on the Black Water. Also I don't think there's any in the air; he mentions it mainly being underground at the sites of old battlefield.

then I will change my vote.

I feel bad for him and would regret it if he left.

I need to stop considering all the points being made as this is the third time I changed my vote.

Abzu is adorable and is our host, but Makram has been cramped in a lamp for gods-know-how-long and we did bring him along sooo

This way we can give both of them attention!

There's a dungeon area in the world, eh? Neat.

Oh hey a new update already that's nice to come back to after my exa-
It's Entirely Possible That Abzu Has Been Planning A Sleepover Exactly Like This For Literal Years
... Well we're off to a strong start already.
"I'll uh, take your word for it?" It's really not very interesting but Abzu has the kind of enthusiasm about it that simply demands courtesy.
my god he's cute enough to teach a dragon manners

Well, Issachar's going to love him.
[...] Abzu helpfully keeps the ellipsis sign held up as they just stare, blinking their paintblotch white eyes once. [I was secretly a genius this whole time.]

"I'm confused, were you not just vehemently defending your work under the belief that the simple surface-level answer was correct?" Makram 'innocently' asks.

[ >8[ ] Abzu retorts eloquently. They turn back to you. [But I suppose I probably should do a little renovating of the puzzleroom at some point.] [Maybe I'll mess around with it once I'm done building your bedroom.]
Don't listen to the grouchy Ifrit, he's just grumpy 'cause he's old, you are too a genius, yes you are~

Makram is a cat. Most 'bad' cat behaviour is because they're bored.

Why are all our love interests so adorable? They one's we haven't met yet can't be as well, right.:o

Zerban will bury you in adorableness.

Anyways.

[X] Ask about this 'creating a bedroom' thing more in-depth. If they have some kind of architectural wizardry, maybe they'll be of some use back at your actual lair for sprucing the place up? That is one of the things Mother badgered you over.

I'm a little worried that if we don't give Makram some attention he'll start pushing stuff off tables, or poop in our shoes or something.

Honestly, even leaving aside the whole cat-appeasement angle, I'm legitimately curious about what Makram was implying he remembered.

I've only known Abzu for a few hours but if anything happened to him I would kill everyone in this quest and then myself.
best boy is getting even better
This is probably totally minor on your part, but Abzu's not a boy.
