[X] Gather everyone together for a 'cooking class', starring Issachar. Everyone seemed pretty much on-board with the idea when it came up, and maybe fostering their relationships with each other will make the whole 'harem' even out a bit. Of course you may end up sixth-wheeling it.

[X] Belial. It's been a while since... The Event, and you're starting to wonder how he's felt since. You're starting to wonder how you've felt since, too.

I think...hrm, this is a downtime day. There may (might I mean) be an interruption later but it seems set up like a social vote and usually we get two to three cracks at those with new options sometimes opening up later and people moving around. Basically, like, the Bioware social link grind where you do a lap around the base after every mission to see who had new stuff procced except everyone here isn't a wax faced dead-eyed doll and it probably won't end in the gutting of a major game studio.

There isn't a single option I'm honestly opposed to, I think it's a real credit to the quest that everyone feels nicely distinct with their own established personalities and they're all appealing in pretty distinct ways. And really it's kinda gratifying the diversity? Both, like, in terms of body shapes and gender expression and preferences and all that jazz but also how none of them really mold themselves around Eldingar and pretty clearly have their own wants, needs, and plans even if they're obviously expressing interest. 'Cause when you're writing a romance it's really easy, either through laziness or just clumsiness to write the LI as just sorta gravitationally drawn to the dick by narrative forces and getting smushed like play-doh around the MC's everything. To the point where they don't really exist outside the MC.

But everyone constantly has their own shit going on and, like there are definitely shades of other relationships forming. Issachar and Lyrros had a pretty good chemistry during their fight, Abzu flattered Markam so the golden bitch loves them forever even if he'll never admit it, and Datu was pretty openly flirting with Jun-ho (and he liked it~). It's...honestly I think that's a really good reason to go chat up Belial. More than just being Eldingar's first and a pretty great guy he's also the one with all the experience managing relationships. Eldingar can barely manage himself and the prospect of, like, getting involved in the affections of potentially up to ten other people is pretty daunting. Plus it's just good to catch up, we've been really busy the past few days. We went straight from our night with him to the Heist, Takara clawing up the lair, Lyrros, the meeting with our mother, and then taking Jun-ho out to the island. Belial's not the kind to get jealous exactly I think. But he definitely deserves some attention and the fact that Eldingar is still calling it "The Event" and is all touchy and shy about it feels sorta-

By my read Eldingar's kinda in this weird gray spot. We saw it with Lyrros mainly since when Datu showed it was all kinda hectic, but he's way more obvious about his attention and thirsty as hell but doesn't seem to know what to do with it all.

Also ngl a cooking class first thing in the morning is pretty brutal. As much as I feel like Issachar would love just smacking a spoon to a pot and dragging everyone out of bed the weird angelic troll.

I am convinced, socialing-up so many people will be tiresome for Eldi, and Belial is a person around whom he probably can relax the most right now.

TenfoldShields has me sold. Plenty of these options could be fun and/or interesting, but it does sound sensible to give Eldingar time to work 'The Event' over, and not just in his head. Because really, 'The Event'? That sounds unhealthily euphemistic to me. Belial seems very sensible about sexuality, Eldingar could probably use some more of his help.

Illegally cute, and I'm so sad I can't ship it probably. Tala is nice though.

"(... Eldingar?)"

"(Mm?)"

"(I think I'm bisexual now.)"

Besides if her brother's dating Jun-ho she might take that as a challenge.

Anyway voting for best goo

[X] Abzu. You can give them a heads-up that Datu's showing up with the lamp in a few days, for what it's worth. But honestly you just want to spend more time with them, their ability to be excited about things is quasi-infectious.

Also, Jun-Ho and Makram were playing bejeweld.
It is very much a friend thing, but Makram is a smug shit (I love him for it, but he still is).
So I think its a blooming relationship.
...Jun-Ho did mention he liked everyone on the map.
...he is making his own harem within our harem...
I am proud of the noodle, he is becoming a true dragon with his own (shared) boyfriend hoard.

I think the biggest strength and appeal of this quest is the characters and how they play of eachother. Even though they are fantasy people, there is a feeling of realness to them in how they are written. Eachone is great in differant ways.
They also don't feel diffiened (english is not my first language so I am probally using that word wrong) by their body type, gender and sexuality. They don't feel like the tropes, they do feel like characters.
Which shows good writting on Zerbans job.
Kudos @ZerbanDaGreat

Angel? What Angel, Issachar is a normal fleshheap like all of us
Personally I want to wait with the cooking class until Jun-Ho feels better. Noodle child would want to join in.

Get some advice about the thirst and how to manage multiple relationships at once (or does it count as one?) Also, Belial is fun.

[x] Makram. It's been a while since you last had some one-on-one time with him, and you suspect he's the kind to start breaking things if left alone too long.

I think Makram will jump at the chance to take care of a recovering Eldingar, and it'll be hilarious.

You know I did not mention this before so I'll say it now.
From what I have read of Tala's description (and I can be wrong) the differance between Aquan males and females is as subtle as shape of their head and that females are larger.
And I love that.
not only because large and sturdy is a design preferance of mine, but most media with monster people has things like sharks with breasts which...
Makes no sense to me, not everything in nature has to have breasts.

That and it leads to a fun moments with our dragon-bois, which is always a plus.
(Yes I know this was last update but I am sloooow)

We've gotten one on one time with everyone else, from fighting Makram, to getting Drunk with Jun-ho, to dancing with Belial, to Puzzling with Isachaar, the only boi we haven't done stuff with alone yet is Abzu, and that MUST BE REMEDIED.

I mean if you want to be nickpicky -and I am- then I would say we did not spend time wity Lyrros and Datu yet either.
But neither are here, they are both still [on their way] to our dragon-hole.

"Hot tub?" Jun-ho asks blankly.

"Like a small personal pool with heated water," you explain.

Jun-ho gasps deeply. "Eldingar can we get a hot tub can I get a hot tub can each of us get our own hot tub?"
...
Zerban, be honest with me please. In your notes for Jun-ho, is there written anything other than "appeals to Omegahugger"?

[><] Jun-ho. Who cares about his comfort when there are ships to set sailing?
I WOULD IF I COULD!

Thankfully Zerban's writing gives me more than one perfect target to focus on, and my tunnelvision allows me to ignore alternate bandwagons!

Yeah, this one seems a trifle more time-sensitive than the others, though I do want to get to Makram soon too.

You fall silent a few incredibly awkward moments longer as you think about the state of your spire and how you didn't even properly check it when you got back from meeting Lyrros. You hide the worst of the sudden, visceral panic and reply. "I'm in the middle of renovations right now, so you may have to bear with me for a few days."

"No problem. I'll be a couple days heading home and offloading our loot anyway." Datu grins at you. "If you're remodelling why not throw in a hot tub or two, eh?"

"Hot tub?" Jun-ho asks blankly.

"Like a small personal pool with heated water," you explain.

Jun-ho gasps deeply. "Eldingar can we get a hot tub can I get a hot tub can each of us get our own hot tub?"

"Now is not the time for making interior decorating decisions!" you snap at him. His enthusiasm bleeds away all at once and he looks at you with those eyes, those damn big round hangdog puppy eyes. "... maybe."

"YES!" He pumps both fists in the air. Tala, otherwise content to let her brother have his own conversation, chuckles and leans over to scritch Jun-ho between the antlers. Jun-ho lets out a half-embarrassed "(eeheehee~)" and lets it happen, eyes half-lidded like a happy cat. Datu shoots her a grumpy look of sibling-anger that you know all too well, and Tala snickers in reply.
Okay, first, Jun-ho is adorable and obviously we need to get him a hot tub. Second, Jun-ho is adorable and needs to be petted more. Third, it's nice seeing him get along with other people. Fourth, I am now thinking of more extensive renovations, like getting our own lightning farm to power a big communal heated pool that's also sea access for Datu so we can have everybody in a hot tub at once.
"So how are we getting back with my sprained wing?" you ask.

"... I could carry you?" Jun-ho offers.

"What? No! Absolutely not!" you exclaim, folding your arms resolutely. "Dragons don't ride other dragons unless- well- you know what I- it's not done! No, no, no, a thousand times no! You should go steal us a boat to sail back to shore or something!"

Silence falls, filled only by the muted crash of waves against the rocks and the shore across the strait, wind whistling through the lonely salt-soaked crags of this recently-risen land.

"... my mane's really sooooooft," he singsongs. You glare at him suspiciously out of the corner of your eye, narrowing them to thin azure slits.

"... tell no one of this."
ahahaha~
... they are quite exceptional wiggles, come to think of it. Now that he's settled into a rhythm it almost feels like being rocked to sleep, side-to-side in an even, regular sway. It's still strange for him to fly without wings but you can't help but admit it has its own charms. The big scaly noodle makes for a far better bed than any human's too, properly armoured and hard-edged like a treasure pile, yet soft and smooth at the same time. You can even faintly feel the snakelike muscular contractions rippling up and down the length of the long dragon's body as he wiggles homeward, and you have to admit it's all... all very...

soothing...

Zerban be honest, did you write this just to appeal to me after all my talk of admiring Jun-ho's wiggles?
You awaken with a start on your treasure back home, eyes leaden-lidded, a string of drool dangling from your jaws and extremely confused.
Wait. Did.

Did Jun-ho tuck us into bed last night?

eeeeeeee

Okay, votes.

[X] Belial. It's been a while since... The Event, and you're starting to wonder how he's felt since. You're starting to wonder how you've felt since, too.

Yeah, let's not leave him out to dry after laying down with him. Also, apart from anything else, Eldingar has just had A Day, and Belial has consistently been a soothing, reassuring presence, so spending time with him would probably be good for them both.

Also, let's see now. If we read 'turn' as 'new day with decision for who to spend time with', then...

Turns since spending time with Makram: 3
Turns since spending time with Jun-ho: 0
Turns since spending time with Belial: 2
Turns since spending time with Issachar: 1
Turns since spending time with Abzu: 3
Turns since spending time with Takara*: N/A (no options available yet)
Turns since spending time with Lyrros: N/A (no options available yet)
Turns since spending time with Datu: N/A (no options available yet)
* Yes damnit I'm counting them still.

Hmm. I think spending time with Belial is the right move right now given how we left things with them, buuuut we want to pencil in Abzu and Makram as next in the queue.
