Divine Administration - of Gods and Bureaucracy (Worm/Exalted)

Thanks for all the input :)

She could experiment with her own divine beuracracy. What happens when she creates an office, but does not specify who fills it? Can she simply create a god out of nothingness?
Yes, she will be able to create gods. That'll actually be the most relevant power she has. In fact she already subconsciously created Tu Yu the first time she slept after her trigger (she didn't have to sleep, but didn't know that and did so out of habit)
It'll have limits, so she can't simply spam a billion gods to solve all problems.

That'd be starting a bit high on the ladder, since those positions would cover *ALL* schools and police, on the entire planet. More likely she'd create a position for the "God of Winslow High" or "God of Brockton Bay Police Department".
Yep :) Exactly that. Well she could create a god of schools in general and order that god to just cover Winslow High, but that would be a waste or resources.

The hospital sounds the best to me. You could have her discover how Amy is being abused by the hospitals and do something about it? I just like her powers!

Also is she the boss of administrative things around the world because if so I don't think everything will be closed!

Also, this is amazing....Moar!!!
Sadly Taylor only has one travel power, and one that is limited by prayer. So she can't travel around the world will-nilly. And i wan't to confine the story to Brockton Bay at least at the start.

She could find a way to visit Yu-Shan on the weekends. As a god, she's entitled to a residence, some ambrosia and quintessence, etc. Just so long as she stays out of the Jade Pleasure Dome; as a god, she'd be allowed in with permission from a higher-ranked god, but the Games are far too addicting for anygods' good.
No Yu-Shan.
In fact no interaction with Creation at all. Nor are there any gods on Earth Bet other than the ones she creates. All powers that would depend on least gods or the loom or such still work normally, but Earth does not naturally create gods or use any other Exalted physics.

The Worm/Exalted crossover is nothing new by this point(not that I'm complaining, I love those crossovers), but you managed to put quite a new and original spin to it!

To quote some of my fellow posters : MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRR.

So, anything she wants to do can be done, she just needs to implement the right minions and make them do her bidding. All Hail Taylor "Munchkin" Hebert, the God-Queen of Earth Bet!

Keeping up with a normal social life as Taylor Hebert is gonna be hell, though.

The ideas i currently have revolve around her trying out her charms and discovering that she is now superhuman in many other ways too (seriously, a god of her rank has attributes ranging from 5 to 8, peak-human is 5.)
The issue with the former is that most bureaucratic institutions are of course closed on a Sunday. So where could she go to just experiment with her charms? Only options i can come up with so far are police, PRT and a hospital.

Have her visit the PRT or the Hospital. There are loads of bureaucratic stuff that goes on in places like that. Hell, Have her visit a nursing home. Have you SEEN the amount of paperwork a Nurse has to fill out for each individual resident? It starts at a small books worth and only goes up from there.

Not even an Exalt or ten showing up? Even a Dragon-Blood?

One thing though exalted gods do not have exact control over their domain, they still have plenty of leeway to help stuff happen.

Perfect defenses might be hard to come for taylor though at first until she can get celestial martial arts.

If that is the case... are artifacts and magitech going to be things? Also God of Craft because fuck enemy Tinkers.

If we can't come up with anything i could just skip ahead to school on monday, where i already have plans.

Yeah, that was what I was going to suggest. Maybe some quick exposition on a few minor discoveries, but if you already have plans for something, I find it helps with flow not to insert too much between those two moments.

Anyway, fantastic concept. Exalt!Taylor is always fun, but seeing some of the other potential from Exalted used is always a treat. I'll be following this story with interest.

Hm... I know that Gods can learn Martial Arts, but I'm not sure about Sorcery. If they can, here's hoping Taylor might stumble over it; it could easily take care of the travel-issue, and is extremely useful in general. Plus, it looks *really* spiffy! :D

Still, Taylor's most important ability no doubt remains the fact that she can create new Gods (and possibly Elementals, as well?). This could either make the world vastly better, if everything works together well... or it could end up with everyone more or less telling Taylor to "STOP HELPING!" because now there's not just Parahumans fighting in the streets, but also various Mortals, God-Blooded, and possibly Exingents (IIRC some sort of 3rd Edition Exalt, in the form of a Champion of a specific God) running around with Spirit-blessings, supernatural Martial Arts, Sorcery, and/or divine artifacts.

Incarna can cast Celestial Circle, and IIRC, lesser Gods Terrestrial Circle. No Gods can learn Adamant due to inherent restrictions from Primordials.

Cauldron will be very interested in this. Suborn Taylor and they can have a very, very powerful tool for directing society to their will.

Is it even possible to suborn her? I'm not seeing anything stopping her from making a god of conspiracies or something very close to it. They're kinda in the palm of her hand here.

Well, gods (spirits of all types, actually) of a certain essence (7ish or more, iirc) can cast Celestial spells, while anyone can learn to use Terrestrial spells. And the Incarna can produce identical effects to Adamant level, where appropriate to their themes, but don't actually use spells to do so. (that is, any Sun themed Adamant spell could probably be done by the UCS , moon or hunt themed ones by Luna, etc )

As far as the extra day goes... she could probably stand to ask her majordomo how to move her sanctum entrance. Or appoint a god of 'cleansing corruption', and set him/her/it on Winslow, starting small. Maybe pick up a list of 'patron saints' for position ideas, see if they get prayers directed to their position.

Have her go to the hospital, eventually she's going to jog, just to cross the street--even if she's immaterial at the time prior habits will persist. Or she starts off at a jog. She'll keep on jogging because she won't get tired or out of breath. Suddenly, she's at the Hospital and realizes she didn't stop and didn't suffer. Cue realization she has a brute rating.

"Your Eminence has it exactly. As for your personal abilities, I can only presume to guess at them based on the general knowledge I have. Your domain is Rightful Bureaucratic Administration, a concern of the utmost importance."
I honestly started to maniacally laugh when getting to this line, because holy shit, Taylor just got the domain over bureaucracies in a situation of the very fabric of reality is ran by bureaucracies.

And that's a good thing too, because:
Your domain is Rightful Bureaucratic Administration, a concern of the utmost importance."
Which means that if she ever goes to Creation, she'll pretty much outrank everyone except the bloody Incarna, in practice if not in paper. :p

Yup. The Salinan Working means anyone, anywhere in existence capable of using Essence can initiate themselves into Sorcery without the need for an instructor, as the needed tuition is supplied by the universe itself. Mortals, Dragon-Blooded, and ghosts can only learn Emerald Circle spells. Celestial Exalts, gods and demons can learn Sapphire Circle, and Solars, Infernals and Primordials can use Adamant Circle. (There's a homebrew Infernal Charm, Cecelyne I think, that can grant access to higher than normal sorcery.) Essence 10 gods and demons can't initiate into Adamant Circle, but can use equivalent powers that fall inside their themes. The Unconquered Sun can use Light of Solar Cleansing, Ligier can use Total Annihilation, etc. (Ligier is immune to Total Annihilation, as he's the source of its power. Malfeas shares this immunity.)

The Salinan Working explicitly does not apply to necromancy. That still requires a standard teacher. Woe to existence if a Solar (Abyssals lack the necessary Charm or equivalent thereof) ever manages to create a necromancy equivalent of the Salinan Working. (Yes, Solars can learn Void Circle Necromancy, but it requires an Essence 10 charm from HFoE.)

Thing is, Most honoured Administrator of the Mandate is very likely an out of context problem for Path to Victory, since Creation runs on entirely different laws of reality.
Eh, possibly. It's not really clear how PtV interacts with foreign physics models, seeing as how nothing of the sort ever happened in canon.

Glad to see this got its own thread. I'm really enjoying it so far.

One piece of advice though, that I wish I'd got when I was starting my own fic. It doesn't matter much yet, obviously, but it always helps to have back/next buttons at the beginning and/or end of chapters. Once you have more than a few chapters up, it really helps new readers get into the story, since they won't have to go back to the index every time they finish a chapter. It's also a lot easier to start doing it early, because updating links when you post a chapter only takes a few minutes. I didn't add them until almost 80 chapters in, and putting the links in (on two sites) took hours.

As for discovering her now superhuman strength/endurance (though not as much as most brutes), that'll probably happen by her getting into a fight. A more unique idea other than "oh look she runs into a gang" would be appreciated.
Since Taylor's domain is Rightful Bureaucratic Administration, maybe she gets annoyed by the lack of bureaucratic administration on a Sunday and accidentally activates a Sense Bureaucracy Charm? That could lead her to criminals engaged in racketeering, which is a corrupt form of bureaucratic administration.

Also:
- Church budget reviews.
- Improper Bingo accounting.
- Illegal sports betting ledgers.
- Restaurant math. Nuff said.

Taylor could watch over the local curch and see the anual visit of the Metropolitan Bishop or see a church hold a vestery meeting or the anual parish meeting.
