Heck, he doesn't even need a disguise. IIRC, at one point Takato just went with the "hide in plain sight" approach and told people that Guilmon was his little brother in a costume.

We also have a stand that can turn him invisible, have the entire speedwagon foundation at our beck and call and are filthy stinking rich.

Hiding him won't be an issue.

A Digimon/JJBA Quest, where our partner is a Once and Future Royal Knight? How the heck didn't I find this sooner?

I think we got Dracomon. He can turn into one of the most powerful Digimon called Slayerdramon who looks like the knight.

Nah, he mentions missing his bracers, which means the Royal Knight was UlforceVeedramon, who fights with the V Bracers. Then there's him regenerating form a charred skeleton, which matches the Ulforce ability that names him.

Your right. It also mentions swords in the fight and I believe Slayerdramon only has one.

Well, guess you'd better start with the obvious - telling Holly about the thing that came out of your phone. You walk over to the door, ignoring the sulking blue midget for the moment, and poke your head out. "Hey, sis?" you call out.

"Is there a problem, honey?" Holly asks, rounding a corner to stand in front of you.

"Um, there actually is someone with me-"

"Oh, so you really did bring a friend around!" she says with a bright smile, poking her head around to try and get a look at your new 'friend'.

"Uh, he's not exactly a friend..." you awkwardly reply, constantly shifting your body mass to keep your curious sister from seeing inside your room. "We just kinda met today and-"

"You brought him home on the first date?!" Holly interrupts, genuinely surprised. "I didn't think you...Well, I'm just glad that you've got over your social anxieties so soon! I guess Grandma really helped you out there. So is he cute? Let me see!" She redoubles her attempts at looking past you and into your room.

"Uh-erm-well-" you stumble over your words for a second, finding it hard to concentrate on a reply while keeping her from seeing your guest before you're ready for it. "He's kinda cute I guess but its not like that! Really!"

"How did you meet?" Holly continues unabated, "Whats his name?"

"Name? Uuuuh...one second!"

You shut the door (You can hear Holly grumble a bit about it on the other side) and turn back into the room. "Hey. Whats your name?" you ask the waist-high dragon, who's still looking at his reflection.

He finally looks away from the window to half-glare at you, evidently still in a somewhat sour mood from whatever's bothering him. "Y'know, its rude to ask for someone's name without giving your ow-"

"Shizuka."

"...Oh," he says, evidently not expecting you to answer without argument, or that quickly. He steps away from the window, finally turning towards you as he scratches the back of his head. Seems he feels bad for sorta-snapping at you just now, at least. "Well in that case, my name's Ze- I mean Ulfor-...wait, I'm not UlforceVeedramon anymore, am I..." He pauses to sigh, and thinks about it for a second. "Lets go with 'Zeromaru,' I guess. Things'll get confusing when I start evolving otherwise."

You make a note to yourself to ask him about why he hesitated about his name, and what he means about 'evolving'...later. After things have calmed down. "So, uh, I'll introduce him to you now, sis." "Okay!"

You open the door, and step aside so Holly can see. "His name's Zeromaru. Say hello, Zeromaru." "Hello." "He's a, uh..." "A Digimon, and a Royal Knight." You have no idea what that means.

Absolute silence reigns for about two and a half seconds before its broken, with incredible violence.

"EEEEEEEEEEEOHMIGODHESADORAAAABLEEEEE~!" Holly squeals, lunging towards Zeromaru at full force. He barely has time for the panic to register on his face before she's upon him, glomping him with the force of a million hyperactive teenagers.

You quietly watch the little guy struggle in vain against your sisters grip, knowing from prior experience that attempts at intervention are useless.

...

...You can't believe you thought she'd be scared or something. That'd be ridiculous. Besides, even if it wasn't Holly, what kind of person would freak out at something as cute as Zeromaru? I mean, come on. It'd be like being scared of a puppy.

...

She's not stopping. She's stopped squeezing the life out of him and has moved on to simply patting his head with one arm while holding him in place with the other. Zeromaru seems to have become resigned to his fate.

You cough lightly. "Um, sis...the terrorists? Weren't we supposed to evacuate?"

That finally gets her attention. "Oh no, I completely forgot! We've got to hurry! Shizuka, Zero-chan, come on!"

"Aaaah, it really has been too long since I've used an actual name..." the tiny dragon says to himself as he follows the two of you out of the room.

---

The next few minutes are a bit hectic. Holly seems to have decided that the best course of action is to grab anything important before booking it. A backpack is shoved into your hands and you're set to work - your sister wants all three of you in the estate's underground shelter in the next ten minutes. During it all, you manage to get Zeromaru to tell you a little more about himself - apparently he's some sort of digital monster from an alternate universe that's somehow made out of internet and filled with monsters like himself. He claims to be some sort of legendary hero (though he really doesn't look like one in your opinion), and he suddenly found himself being flung through your phone while fighting some great evil.

How curious.

"So, hey, why all the rush?" Zeromaru asks, watching the two of you run back and forth collecting valuables. "You're both acting like a bunch of Patamon during a Kuwagamon migration."

Holly turns around, halfway through putting a photo of your father, Jotaro and Polnareff into a bag. "Oh, the news says that there's terrorists in the city, and they're asking everyone to evacuate the area."

"Ooooh, I see...er. What's a terrorist?"

"They're really bad people who want to hurt others, for reasons! Oh, its all quite scary but hopefully the police will catch them!"

Zeromaru visibly tenses up. "Hurt people?!"

You decide to speak up. If you leave this to Holly you'll probably never get to the shelter. "Generally, they use the threat of violence to try and force people to do what they say, and back it up by attacking civilians."

"Thats...!" Zeromaru's eyes go wide, before a grim (and familiar) look covers his face.

You stare at the small Digimon. You've seen that exact same expression before. It reminds you of them - Jotaro, Josuke, Jolyne and...your father. And you know exactly what it means: Unless you somehow manage to talk him down from it, you don't think you're gonna be able to stop him going out there to fight the bad guys. Honestly, there's a part of you, the part that takes after your father, that yearns to rush out and join him...

...but, Holly. You're not Jotaro, despite recently taking after him in the problem child department. You realize how worried she really gets sometimes, even though she uses her bubbly personality to cover it up. When you came home for the third time in a week covered in nail marks and bruises, or when the teachers inevitably called her in to school...Although you know she's had experience with this sort of thing with Jotaro, you could still tell how she really felt about what you were getting yourself into behind that somehow brittle smile of hers. While you know how strong she is, you're not sure you want her to suffer through that again.

On the other hand, you could do some real good out there. You spent most of last year in Italy with your grandmother Lisa Lisa, learning both self-discipline and the secrets of Hamon. Among other things, you learned how to use the Ripple to heal people - you're quite good at it, even. You're nowhere near as capable of healing wounds as your brother Josuke, but you can mend fractures and close flesh wounds well enough with merely a touch and some concentration. You might be able to do some real good out there. And while you've never been in a real life-or-death fight, just some scuffles with other dumb kids and sparring matches with Hamon monks, you're not too bad a brawler.

Heck, during that year in Italy your Stand managed to develop a physical manifestation, one that can punch just as fast as Star Platinum (albeit without as much strength or precision). Between its invisibility, its attack power and your fledgeling martial arts skills, you could likely knock someone out with ease, especially if they're not Stand users themselves.

And then there's your bodyguards, from the Speedwagon Association. As a member of the Joestar family, no matter how adopted, you're one of the people the organization exists to support - not to mention both of the people living here are the daughters of the legendary Joseph Joestar. There's no way they wouldn't ensure your safety.

They generally stay very firmly out of sight unless Holly's cooked something for them (the quality of which is incidentally why the best of the best among the Foundation agents spend an inordinate amount of time on such a relatively quiet posting) but you've got no doubt they're around somewhere. They give you your privacy when you're in the house, but if you leave you could probably get a detachment to follow you, make sure you don't get hurt. Though you don't know how they'd react to Zeromaru, they've seen weirder things. Like a tiny Frenchman living in a turtle.

Well, you should probably tell them if you're leaving regardless of whether you want their company. Bernadotte would probably have a heart attack if you weren't in the underground shelter like you're supposed to be. Unless you don't want the Speedwagon Foundation to know about Digimon, for some reason?

...But, despite all that...

You don't think you could stand seeing that brittle smile of Holly's again.

You stare at the half-full backpack in your hands and wonder, what are you going to do?

Shizuka's really got the best ability set for this kind of work.
