Digimon Is Not Crash (Digimon/JJBA)

1.2
Sorry for the wait on this, had a bit of trouble with the opening.

----

The silence stretches on for several seconds as the two of you stare blankly at each other.

You've always hated awkward silences, so you're the one that ends up breaking the silence. "...hello," you hesitantly say from your position upside-down on the floor.

"Hi there...Uh. I mean, Greetings?" The mascot character responds in a high pitched, cutesy voice. A sharp contrast to the weirdly aristocratic manner of speech it almost instantly adopts. "Forgive my sudden...intrusion, but could you tell me where I am? It's really dam-I mean it is a matter of gravest importance!"

You blink before stating "Narita, Chiba prefecture." The mascot tilts his head, face screwed up in confusion. "I have never heard of such a place before! What strange and dangerous land have I been sent too?!" It despairs, before turning to you.

"Strange giant, answer me, what manner of Digimon resides in this realm? Be they as large, fearsome and...uh what'd be polite...Pale?...Yes, pale as you are?" It asks. You start to feel a little offended.

You scoff. "Never seen a human before?" comes your retort.

He blinks at you. He seems to have some sort of trouble believing what you just said.

"...You're telling me you're human? That...that can't be right, why are you so big?! And that...that would mean that I'm in..." And there goes his put-on airs.

"I'm not big, you're just small." And its true too, you're rather short compared to the rest of your adopted family.

"Eh? What're you on about, there's no way I'm smaller than a human!" he says with an incredulous expression, before pointing at you, "I'll have you know I'm at leas-wait." He looks at his outstretched hand. He turns it back and forth, then pats himself down with increasing desperation. "...Where's my armor?!" He looks at the back of his hands with abject panic. "WHERE ARE MY BRACERS!?"

Words fail you as you watch the little guy scramble off the bed in search of something reflective. He eventually settles on your window, and after a bit of shifting around he gets a good look at himself. He doesn't seem to like what he sees. "That...THAT BASTARD!" Oh dear, he seems to have started frothing at the mouth a little. Could it be rabies? you think as you right yourself and stand up. Should I start thinking about taking him to the vet or something?

"Shizuka, is everything alright in there?" you hear Holly call from outside.

"Uh, i-its fine sis!" you reply. She insisted on you calling her that rather her given name. At the time you thought it was a bit weird, but now that you know her better you know its just par for the course with her.

"If you're bringing friends over, you should have told me! I'd have prepared some food!"

You sigh and shake your head with a smile. Holly is way too nice a person. You return your attention to your guest, who seems to have calmed down a little. He's certainly done with looking at his reflection, instead opting to stare at your floor. "Okay...so I'm stuck in the real world and I'm back to being a Child," he morosely mutters to himself, appearing to have forgotten your existence. "Could this get any worse?"

"Shizuka," Holly calls once more from outside your room, "there's some sort of evacuation notice on the television, something about a wide-scale terrorist attack. Should we move into the underground shelter?" As usual, she's completely unflappable.

The little blue guy, on the other hand, just groans.

Well. This is going to be fun to sort out.

[X]Politely introduce yourself. Ask him his name. After he answers, say that we should probably get to shelter and invite him to come with you. Open the door and tell Holly not to ask about the talking lizard until we get to safety.

I'm assuming we won't leave right away, hence why I'm not asking about keeping our Digimon a secret yet.

Oh hells yeah, I think we just got ourselves a Royal knight in waiting as our starter.

And it would appear this is a crossover with the Tamers verse. What year is it in universe again? Because that could be kinda important.
Anyways, Digimon is already a show in this universe, so I suggest taking the tried and true method of pretending he's a plush toy.

It's Holly; why would we feel the need to?

Anyway it's 2015 meaning Stone Ocean already passed considering the universe wasn't retconned.

Damn, that means the tamers must be in their mid 20's by now. Time flies fast hey.
Unless there's a timeline retcon for that.

Good point, but i have a feeling that Holly is really the only person who isn't going to freak out over this. Remember, digimon in the tamerverse don't exactly have a good rep among humans.

Partly the fact that it has been one of the most common (and successful) digimon of rookie size are hidden. Also because holly would likely buy it.

Then again, I haven't watched tamers for a while, so maybe others could give better ideas than me.
If you want to hide your Veemon, you have three significantly better options than pretending he's a plushie.

First, you've gotten a Digivice program installed on your phone. Since at least Savers, its been easy enough to store Digimon in your Digivice, and that is likewise a thing here (though you don't know this in-character yet, obviously).

Second, disguises have been historically quite successful.

Third, you have a Stand that makes things invisible. Speaking of which I should probably finish the character sheets...

I think he was referring to why do you think this is a Tamers cross rather than just "Digimon".
Mentions tamers in the invisitext? though given whats being said, I'm probably wrong on that guess.

...These points make it pretty clear i need sleep badly. How did i miss that part and forget the disguises. Sorry about that.

Wait wouldn't the Kujo household have guards from the speedwagon foundation due to Holly being the heiress to Joseph's fortune and the fact she's married to a famous jazz musician?

Shit i remember now.

Its used to describe someone who has a digimon and digivice, but isn't digidestined.

Not sure on Xros wars though.
They're called Generals in Xros Wars because of the series theme.

we don't talk about hunters

Mmmaaaaaaaaaybe :V

Was Digidestined even in the original Japanese? I recall the original term was "Chosen Children".
It was. Chosen Children being the original, I mean.
