Considering the three films before they took over they could have just had the movies involve Mickey Mouse punching you directly in the face while Donald reads a never ending list of all your sins and it would still have been an improvement.
 
Touchstone Pictures has been a thing since 1984.

Disney can easily do an R-rated movie.

They will just pretend it's not Disney.

The director is in negotiations to team up with star Ryan Reynolds for the Marvel property, after previously collaborating on 20th Century's pandemic-era hit Free Guy and the just-released sci-fi adventure movie The Adam Project on Netflix.

The first, record-breaking Deadpool (2016) was directed by Tim Miller. The sequel was helmed by David Leitch.

Frequent Reynolds collaborators Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who penned the scripts for the first two films, are now working on Deadpool 3. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, known for the animated series Bob's Burgers, previously worked on the script for the third installment of the franchise.

Hugh Jackman Returning as Wolverine for ‘Deadpool 3’

Deadpool 3 marks a full circle moment for Reynolds' Deadpool and Jackman's Wolverine. Reynolds first played Deadpool in the 2009 movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which featured an ill-conceived finale in which Reynolds' anti-hero was depicted with his mouth sewn shut. Reynolds has oft-mocked that depiction, given that Deadpool is known for his banter, going by the nickname "the Merc with the Mouth."

This marks the first Deadpool movie made by Marvel Studios after 20th Century Fox released two in 2016 and 2018. Jackman is not the first X-Men star to come out of retirement from his character for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His Logan co-star Patrick Stewart appeared in a cameo in this summer's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

In addition to bringing together Jackman and Reynolds, Deadpool 3 will be a reunion for Jackman and Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, who is producing the film. Feige got his start in the business on the very first X-Men film, where he earned an associate producer credit.
