Crystalwatcher's Base Commander Quest (CMGQ Spinoff)

Hmm... interesting, but shouldn't assets liken a Magical Girl (mobile artillery) be separate from gender/theme?

What are you asking here? Its a quest based upon the Magical Girl quest Crystalwatcher is (slowly) doing, how can you separate theme and gender in a magical girl story?

Oh darn, now I have another reason to read the Magical Girl Quest...

Eh, I'm sure that I'll figure things out from context clues and the occasional skim!

3043 Still feel honor-bound to not make an uninformed vote though.

I think it's more that the Older Sister gets a 'free' Magical Girl. There may be other Magical Girls assigned, but because the Counter Force needs MGs our little sister can insist on being sent with us.

That's my understanding too.

Although we don't have any indication about how powerful or weak of an MG the sister is, other than that she's probably a rookie.

What the two choices "get" are their starting combat forces. The older sister's younger sis will have permission to tag along and help out at Pinnical Station.

Either choice though will be little more than starter equipment regardless.

Well, I suppose that the soldier gets a troop of elites.

Still, I suppose I'm annoyed that this seems to be based on gender. I usually expect gender to be cosmetic.

its a magical girl quest, or at least a spin off set in the same universe... gender is kind of a major thing in the genera and requirement of being a Magical Girl. As for the two staring option, I'm not seeing how gender there is anything more than cosmetic.

But either way, we are not the magical girl.

Why can't the soldier be female? And do MG's never have brothers?

As for the gender thing: remember its a magical girl quest. So its going to be steep HEAVILY in stereotypes. I also like to play around with those same stereotypes and screw with the readers.

As for the soldier/magical girl choices: their power will be roughly equivalent. So to figure out how strong the girl will be take into account how strong a group of human soldiers are.
