-You were always a cut above the rest of your classmates. Even at a young age, your genius was evident, but it also scared people. While your peers were reading Harry Potter, you were reading War and Peace. While they were watching cartoons, you were watching news reports from across the world. Your parents did the best they could, but they just didn't have the resources to help you excel. You were a kid from Lincoln, the worst neighborhood in all of Freedom City. If you were born someone else, you probably would be graduating from college at this point, but instead, for your middle school graduation, you got a super-villain attack, which you managed to thwart with a well aimed throw to knock down the basketball hoop. A simple matter of physics, but one that got attention from Duncan Summers, the headmaster of Claremont Academy. You were special, and now you could be in an environment to foster that.

-Ever since you were a child, you've been obsessed with mystery novels. Your peers always thought you were a weirdo, but you were content with that. Sherlock Holmes, Nancy Drew, those were your friends. So when there was a kidnapping at your school, one of the popular girls, you sprang into action. It was the right thing to do to help her, even if she had bullied you, it was what Nancy Drew would do at least. So you tracked her down, following leads that the police couldn't discover, and reported her location, saving her life. Then, you received an offer from Duncan Summers. Your investigative abilities were of a caliber not seen in most professional detectives, and they were enough to get you into Claremont Academy, should you so choose. Will you do better in this school, surrounded by people with powers? Will you finally be able to make some friends, and help people?

-You were always obsessed with learning how things work. Your father was a clock-maker, and a high end one, he was the guy they called when they needed to adjust the big clock at the City Hall. That, unfortunately, is what led him to his death, as he happened to be there during and attack by the Crime League, who were hoping to take the mayor hostage. When the insides of the clock fell, he was crushed, and so were your spirits. You decided, then and there, that you would make sure nobody had to go through what you did. And so, you turned your talent for figuring how things work to machines and engineering. When you graduated from Middle School, you had finished your prototype, the X-47 Battle Armor. Capable of enhancing your muscles, and repelling bullets. Combined with your trained skill with weapons, you were ready to be a modern-day knight in shining armor, you only needed further training. You then went to Duncan Summers to demonstrate your creation, and with his go-ahead, you have been accepted in Claremont Academy, one step closer to your dream of becoming a super-hero.

-People always saw you as a little odd, but you never understood why. People always said that you could be anything you put your mind to, so you just put all of your mind to being an inventor! Your beautiful babies would wow everyone who saw them, maybe you could even be a Superhero, or maybe their tech person! So what if you had issues with social situations? or with things that didn't interest you? So what if people whispered behind your back? It all came to a head when you lost your arm. Your parents wanted to move out of Freedom City, to somewhere safer, like New York, away from their jobs at ASTRO labs. But you couldn't let that happen! So you built yourself a new arm. One with a few... well maybe a lot, of self defense capabilities. With your newest baby strapped on, and working just like a normal arm would, your parents agreed to stay in Freedom City, so long as you attended Claremont Academy once you graduated from Middle School. As far as you were concerned, that was a win-win.

Seeing how the voting went, I decided to make some tech heroes, and some training heroes.
for the TLDR,
Aaron is a poor black kid from Lincoln, who is a super-genius. He has such a high understanding of mathematics that combined with his athleticism, it allows him to perform feats of parkour, as well as giving him enhanced martial skill, and accuracy. His weakness is that he isn't very tough, a good hit can take him down, so long as it connects
Hannah is a nerd who loves mystery novels to the degree where she can make inferences about the world. Her powers include Super Cold-Reading, which is statted out as surface though mind-reading, Incredible deductions, statted out as postcognition with some limitations, and an inspiration power, basically trading a victoy/hero point for a hint. Her big weakness is that while she can read people incredibly well, she really is not very good in social situations.
Eli is a driven individual, who wants to become a hero with a burning passion. He has assembled a power-suit, and trained himself to use weapons. His main weakness is that while he is a decent fighter, he is not an expert one, and he relies a lot of the protection his armor provides. Without it, or if someone breaks it, he's in trouble
Rebecca is a classic inventor, with a small twist. Her main ability, aside from a few minor inventions, is her cybernetic arm, which contains a variety of weapons for self defense, and a force-field generator. Her major weakness is that she's incredibly specialized, she's basically good at inventing things, using her inventions, and nothing else.
