[X] Check on Kari- she's in the crowd somewhere, right?

We do need to explain why bro a dum-dum and to check on the kid in case anyone have some funny ideas.
Tai must face the consequences of his words so sleeping outside works.

[X] Watch the fight closely. You'll have to fight the victor, after all.
[X] Chat with TK. Figure out what the two of you can do to make this not sound so bad when you tell the story later. (DC for good story: 75. Chance of keeping Tai from getting evicted.)

Tai can handle himself, and honestly whatever he said to piss off the Bees is his responsibility.

Well, aside from the Watsonian reasons I gave (she's been left alone and doesn't have her partner in a place full of strangers), there's the Doylist reason that she's carrying her Crest and we still don't know which Big Bad we should be watching for: Devimon, who knows what the Tags and Crests are and would be wanting to be rid of the one who actually has one, and Myotismon, who has apparently experimented with said Crest in this continuity and may be (even accidentally) responsible for Maki's disappearance.

I know this is a chapter late, but the image of ANGEMON considering snacks more important than stopping Tai from being a diplomatic disaster is hilarious.

Good to see you still have your priorities straight...

Time to go see Kari! Make sure she doesn't follow in her brother's footsteps or make too big a deal of the Crest of Light, that sort of thing.

Well, She Clearly Needs a Good Role Model
It comes to mind that you haven't seen Kari for about an hour. You know she's in the crowd somewhere, your Digivice is enough for that much, but you can't help but worry about the one member of your group that doesn't have a Digimon partner.

Not that you can say much more for yourself. The arena might be large, but you don't feel like dragging Birdramon with you at the moment. So it's just you wandering and looking for a little girl with a Bukamon on your shoulder.

It's just one of four humans in the area, and likely the only one not accompanied by a Champion Digimon. How hard could it possibly be?

...Hard enough for you to resort to the Digivice, apparently. It works well enough, though, and you find her and Bukamon a few minutes later, surrounded by candy wrappers. Somehow, this doesn't surprise you quite as much as it should have. A dark shape in the corner turns and ducks away, just out of view.

"Are you sure that's healthy?" You check, just to make sure.

"Koromon never complained!" The little girl grins back.

"And he became the largest Agumon I've ever seen," You point out. "Joe's not gonna be happy if he finally gets his partner and you've fed him so badly he becomes a Sukamon." You're not entirely sure that Bukamon can become Sukamon, but it's a thought you've been entertaining for literal years, so it's a good thing you can get it out now.

"You really think that could be a problem!?" Bukamon asks, almost comical tears welling up in his eyes. "I don't wanna be a Sukamon!"

"It won't be, so long as you eat right," You tell him. Of course, you have no idea if that's correct or not, but it's what's most likely to both make him feel better and get him to cut down on the sweets.

"Got it," Kari nods. "I'll take better care of him, at least until Joe gets here or I find my Digimon!" You're pretty sure that, even if Kari finds her partner somewhere, she'll still take care of Bukamon until Joe shows up. That's just the kind of person she is. "So, where's Tai?"

"He... offended all the insect Digimon in the city..." You wince. Probably your only chance to stay in the treehouse is to kick Tai out. "He's sleeping outside for a while."

"'Cause of Kunemon?" Bukamon checks, and you nod. "Good idea. I like not having to sleep outside."

"We can agree on that. Kari, don't be like your brother, okay?"

"You don't need to worry about that." Good to know. "Um... I think Lekismon just won her fight." You glance back to see the trio of felines- a black one, a calico one, and an orange one that is on fire- curled up and snoring.

...You're going to have to fight Lekismon next. That's bad. You don't even have any ideas for how to fight them.

...Well, maybe one.

[ ] Stay. Away. From the bubbles.

[ ] Maybe you can talk her into a Rookie fight? Maybe?

[ ] Just go all out. It's not like anything bad could happen in the finals round of a tournament... right?

[ ] Try to break their teamwork.

Hmm. Well, if the bubbles/foam pop the same way normal bubbles do, I suppose if we lit the stage on fire, we might be alright. The heat should pop them immediately, and while Greymon will be stuck in it, he's fire/dragon element or whatever anyways, and our other two can fly. Question is, CAN we light the stage on fire? It's just made out of rock if I recall, and Lekismon might be fast enough to stop us from even setting it up. Though, digi-fire doesn't necessarily require a source to feed off of...

As for the other options, we don't really know enough about them to try making them disagree/break their teamwork, talking her into a rookie fight seems unlikely in the finals, and "going all out" doesn't really matter when your opponent is so much faster/agile than you. Like I said before, maybe we can just go straight up and sort of carpet bomb the area? We risk overstepping the stage's boundaries, and Greymon will take some hits, but again, fire, so he should be fine taking a Meteor Wing or two. Mind, Lekismon has ice arrows too, but they should be easier to avoid with more room up high. Maybe that can be the backup plan.

[x] Try to light the stage's floor on fire. With enough heat, Lekismon's bubbles should pop before they can reach anyone.
[x] Failing that, fly up as high as is legal and attack Lekismon from above. There has to be a maximum range on that sleep attack.

[X] Do whatever you can to pop the bubbles before they get to you or get them away. Hit them with fire balls, blow them away with your wings, anything so long as they don't get close. Also try to hit the opponent with the ranged attacks as well.

Oh jeeze, I think we just avoided a major incident.

Hey Tai! Got a job for you!
I thinkthat goes too far for a tournament. Especially a group that volunteered information on how their sync works at all.

I think we do have an advantage in numbers, so if we can find a way to lure/herd Lekismon into an position advantageous to us then blast them from multiple angles...

So I'll agree with the "light the stage on fire" part, but for different reasons than popping bubbles.

good enough. It's the best we can do with what we have and know about them

At least tactics seem to be easy enough...

So, you're actually thinking this through. That's probably a good thing.

Team Lost Camp VS Team Moon, Part 1
You don't have that much of a strategy. Not that this is easy to plan for, your combat record being as short as it is. You've never fought a Lekismon before, didn't even know they existed until today.

"So, we all know what the plan is, right?" You ask, before you get called in for the final round.

"Don't let them stay in one place, avoid the bubbles, we got it..." Tai groans. "Did you really have to repeat it that many times?"

"We've seen your grades," Birdramon points out. "And after that disaster earlier... you do realize that you have to sleep outside now?"

"And now, the fight we've been waiting for all day!" The announcer calls, which is your cue to start moving. "The final match of the Champion triples tournament, the DigiDestined of Team Lost Camp against Team Moon's Lekismon!"

Your opponent stands across the arena, looking for all the worlds like she hadn't done anything more for exercise today than a quick run to the store. Like she hasn't exerted herself at all. Given that her solution to the opponents thrown at her was to make them fall asleep, it wouldn't surprise you if she hasn't.

"Are you ready!? Three... two... one... Fight!" As soon as the signal is given, Lekismon springs into action, leaping at your partners, bubbles already forming in their hands.

"Move!" You call, but Birdramon's already spreading her wings, fire and meteors filling the battlefield, Lekismon leaping between them effortlessly, only to leap over an attack from Greymon and right into the path of a meteor. She's thrown back for a bit, before picking themselves up with a grin.

"You know," They state, standing amongst the flames without a care in the world. "It's not a lot of opponents who can last more than a minute against us. They don't think to fight back against a singular opponent, no matter how many brains she has." She pulls out several arrows made of ice from nowhere, twirling them in their paws.

For a moment, the world is still. Just one moment, where nobody, human or Digimon says anything, before your opponent explodes into action, jumping between flames, never lingering on the ground for more than a second.

"Angemon!" You hear TK shout, and his partner moves automatically, his staff blocking the thrown ice before Lekismon uses Greymon as a platform to kick him in the chest. Right. She's a Champion form of Lunamon, and a merger of her and Lopmon, who are rabbits. They jump.

"Get her, Greymon!" Tai encourages. "They're coming down!" The dinosaur turns, fire already brimming in his mouth, only to miscalculate, and Lekismon lands on his head, snuffing out the flames.

...On the other hand, Angemon is able to recover, and attack with a beam of light that knocks Lekismon backwards. "Now, Birdramon!" You order, and she moves, wreathed in flame to knock the merged Digimon to the ground.

...Except she's now in close range enough to use bubbles, and you can see them forming in her paws.

[ ] Call for Birdramon to get out of range.

[ ] More fire, now!

[ ] Admit Birdramon's defeat. You're sure Angemon and Greymon can handle Lekismon on their own.

[ ] Yell at Angemon and Greymon, and hope they do something.
