So, that would have been a Bug in the (SV) System?
(Context: what's the title of this story?
)For comparison, different people's intersection with SV produces different expectations... Some likely only dip into it to read favorite stories, others do the Town Hall and everything.
This is why the April First stunt, without explanation, was so risky. But, from me, they got a (FyreBug Skitter) omake out of me, without me realising exactly what was going on until later.
(Yeah, I knew there was likely 1st April... hijinks (and scheduled my morning accordingly), but what they were, that was another matter...)
I suppose you could say SV is the intersection of many (lived) Worlds, and some of them have Bugs in them.

Look at some of the Author Omake, in TV, the multi-episode ones. And the cross-over with Mauling Snarks. Those are effectively 'finished', and are fun reads. (I particularly like Alternate.)
Yes, BitS is an excellent story. Will warn you though - if our Bug-en-ating Author's muse goes... a bit mad, 'Bugs In Spaaaace!' could likely continue pretty indefinitely...
