Bloody Grave: A Vampire RP. Sign up and OOC thread

1.) Vampiric Powers.
2.) Vampyres in general
3.) Vampiric Magic.
4.) Underground Contacts

That seems to be the shopping list?

Unfortunately, I have an IRL exam coming up on Monday so I'll have to call Time until then, but if no one has begun the bargaining, I'll pick that thread up on Monday evening.
Just to try to keep this going, I feel obligated to point out it's past monday by any definition/timezone.

(obviously, life comes first, just trying to ensure against simple forgetting)

Basking in the after-exam glow for a bit too long, I think.

Got a post out.

Are we all alright with giving info on the underground base to the Twilight kind?

Is this still open? If not, can I still post a sheet?
Depends what you mean by 'open'. I'm not going to strictly close the game to new submissions, but we're still currently in a period that would make new submissions a bit awkward to implement, so I'd need to be fairly impressed to put in the effort. There's nothing wrong with submitting a character if that's what ya want, though.

Yea, I was just thinking of submitting a sheet. I don't want to disturb the flow or anything like that.

Name: Morgan "The Spider" Cormac

Age: 35

Mental Description: Morgan Cormac has always been a cruel and apathetic person. He rarely shows mercy and will do anything in order to achieve his goals. Morgan is always looking for a person's weakness or vulnerability in order to have pull over them. He believes that power and control are the only things that matter. Morgan will rarely share his power, and if he does, there is usually an ulterior motive. Morgan does not take betrayal lightly and an example of this is when one of his runners decided to steal protection money from him instead of returning it. Allegedly, Morgan himself flayed the runner's face and hung him for everyone to see. However, Morgan has always had a code. He only targets those in the same business as him. Innocents will not be harmed purposely, unless in the direst of circumstances.

Physical Description: Appearance

History: Morgan Cormac was born in Seafang and has been an orphan for as long as he could remember. The orphanage that took care of him as a child tried its best but the slums of Seafang devours anything and everything. His orphanage was soon the target of gangers, who made it their goal to squeeze the orphanage for "protection money." Not too long afterward, the orphanage would shut down, and the orphans would either scatter across Seafang or join the gangs that caused their orphanage's demise. Morgan was the latter.

Morgan had worked his way up the criminal food chain. Starting off as a simple runner, Morgan killed, threatened, and bribed his way to the top. As one of the heads of one of the criminal networks in Seafang. Morgan had begun to taste the power he desired as an orphan. It was going well until a routine meeting went awry. One of the other heads of the criminal network did not like Morgan and sold him out to the authorities.

On his way to jail for his crimes, along with his underlings, his transport was attacked. Morgan doesn't remember much besides the slaughter of his underlings and being dragged away to an unknown location. Waking up from whatever was done to him, Morgan realized one thing, he had access to more power than ever before.

Mundane Skills: While coming up in the criminal underworld, Morgan became a specialist on poisons and cures, mostly the former. Morgan knows how to brew poisons that can cause slow, painful death or how to soothe headaches. He can quickly identify the effects of a poison and how to counteract it.

Morgan is a great accountant and does complex calculations in a short amount of time. A useful skill went measure profits and costs in the criminal business.

Morgan's aptitude for elemental magic is somewhat limited as he never practiced much. He has some skill in Air magic but that's about it.

Unholy Power: Arachnoid Royalty: Morgan has the ability to create and fully control arachnids in a 25-foot radius. He can modify the arachnids by feeding them his blood, which mutates them. The mutation causes the spiders to become very poisonous and the ability to camouflage, spin invisible webs, and mind control on normal people. Morgan can only have 3 mutated spiders at a time as when they use their abilities, it drains him of his energy.

Equipment: Twin daggers coated with a paralytic poison and a vial of an odorless poison that can kill a regular person in a minute.

@Terrabrand I'm sorry, I think I'm going to have to drop out. I don't know why, but I've just lost all motivation for this. It's nothing to do with you or the others; I'm just not feeling it anymore.

Sorry.

That's fair. No reason to force yourself to do something you aren't enjoying.

When I manage to finish up the current GM post I'll probably have Sam sign on with the Twilight guys or something to have him relatively amicably part from the group, in case you change your mind later.

Sorry to see you go, Hawk. For what its worth, Sam was a good character. Hope to meet again in another RP down the line.

EDIT: Just 4 of us now, I suppose.

I'm not entirely sure the post is entirely clear, it's certainly not my finest work, but there's no way we get back in the swing if I just keep sitting on a mostly complete post and just... don't post it.

Apologies for the delays.

What type of contacts are we looking for exactly, guys?

And of the 3 options presented, hands on would be leaving the squad, and whatever verbal instruction we get quickly now seems too little. So I'm all for the Books. Right?

strictly, if the entire group opted for hands on, you'd be hanging out with the Twilight Kingdom folks for awhile to get the instruction. I assumed from prior plans that was an unlikely possibility, and can just have Sam stay when the group goes if y'all want to go with that option, but it is a legitimate possible direction for the group to take.

I am still interested I've just been having problems with focusing on RPs and writing lately and so have been behind.

@Another Amoeba, you still with us? scene waiting on you.

(and, less immediately, I may as well double check that @Azrael is still interested given that covers all the players who have yet to confirm etc)

Wow, this has been some awful performance on my part. I've been finding pretty much time and again that I've been holding things up, missing updates, and so on and so forth with this game. I think I'd better drop, because I obviously haven't been much of a help in keeping things moving forward, and my motivation still isn't great enough for me to trust that I'll turn things around.

If you want to stay in it's fine, most of the delay has been on my part. If not, I'm willing to try to move on without you, but that does reduce us to three players. But really, it's been me first and foremost, so don't sweat it too much.
